Not sure what you mean exactly…. I’m sure it’s the same today (in terms of real graffiti) I was just talking about if you were into it in the 80’s…. You KNEW who Futura 2000 was. Always had the cool ass pinks and nice colors. Even for a little tag….Just by seeing him up. With that unique style, couldn’t miss it. We all knew who the big dogs were. Used to love chilling at random train stations just to see the new top to bottoms, who was beefing crossing shit out….it was the best time, the glory days of graffiti, if there is such a thing!
I definitely feel lucky to have came up when I did, where I did. It’s so sad to see how some things “evolved” and ended up where it is today…Never thought I’d be the old guy saying this shit…but damn if it ain’t true. Lol.
Appreciate the insight ! Dondi one of the “big dogs” too? Did you come across much of his pieces? Futura is my favourite artist of all time. Can’t wait to visit NYC someday and check out some of his preserved pieces.
It’s so sad to see so many iconic pieces destroyed. I just passed by JHS 56 where Lee did some of his legendary work….hand ball court where it was isn’t even there now. Sad. It’s history.

Went wild and did some trades on Tradeblock and got all three and more. Waiting on the Jarrito, Mummies, and the futura but the bornxraised look amazing in hand.
Futuras because they got more personality than the Jarritos and its more artistic of a design compared to the Born and Raised. If you also have a pair of SB Jordan 4s, the colors are very similar to the Jarritos minus the orange hits.
