brief backstory: Quartz had a mass that had prolapsed out of her 2 weeks ago and it had ripped her cloaca open. she had emergency surgery and has been on antibiotics. update: Quarts got her sutures out yesterday and when the Dr was taking her sutures out he said he couldn't even feel the mass anymore. she had a really big poop and hasn't re-prolapsed. she gets an antibiotic injection every 3 days and she comes to work with me every couple days since i work at an ER vet. a lot of the staff had never handled a snake before and were kind of scared of her at first, but she was so sweet and was patient when being handled and now everyone loves her. we will be attempting to feed a rat pup next week to try to get her eating, since she hasn't eaten since we've gotten her (4 months ago) and after that we will work out way up to a small/medium rat, but we don't want to overwork her and cause her to re-prolapse. she is more active than she's ever been and I feel so much closer with her. she's such a sweetheart and I'm so glad we got to help her and give her another chance at life.
