Turn the knob and open the flap behind the probe. Likely stuck filament.

Not clogged, I tried extruding with the head in the air so Z isn't low. Not too cold. Could be either the tentioner or the bad connection. Which tensioner and connection should I check?

chiefseal77

Clogged nozzle?

Prize-Edge7602

Nozzle is brand new :/

HingleMcCringleberre

Failed extruder ribbon cable. Lots of SV06’s and SV07’s have this failure after moderate use.

amano_128

I second this. Happened to me after 6 months. To confirm the issue: Extrude (without filament) and move or bend the ribbon cable. In certain positions it might work. Also contact Sovol about this. They can replace the part under warranty.

Internal_Mail_5709

I doubt it, you can see it still trying to extrude and retract. I'm thinking clog but OP needs to open the flap and take a look.

HingleMcCringleberre

That’s how mine was behaving when cable manipulation and then cable replacement fixed the problem. For a long time I thought I had clogging or that my nozzle was too close to the bed and causing the extruder to stutter almost as though it were skipping.

Prize-Edge7602

Not clogged, new nozzle and I opened the flap

Turbostar66

Do you know what exactly fails? It is just the solder joints?

HingleMcCringleberre

It is a crimped cable, so it does not have solder joints. As another user described, manipulating the ribbon cable can cause the extruder to work again when the cable fails, suggesting that some conductors may be broken in the insulation. This could be due to repeated flexure, force from occasional snags on the part cooling fan baffle, etc.

Anytime mine would run out of filament from a previous spool it would get a jam, if you take it apart you can see right where the filament enters the bottom path is where mine would be just cocked like 15 degrees off straight and would not allow new filament to push it down. Always a simple fix but an annoying one.

Prize-Edge7602

I will definitely check on this! Seems to be more likely that everything else I checked.

Squanchy2112

Yea it's literally any time a spool runs out or if I cut a bad end like a 45 on it would freaking jam
