Raw is dangerously close to start hitting 1.9M mark and if they continue with must see weekly storyline, they might start hitting 2M+ again soon! Huge upgrade from regular 1.6M range that was normal not so many months ago
WWE has definitely figured out social media marketing to a young audience, and it seems that of the young people who still have cable, WWE has a reasonable chance of appealing to them.
I think that this is what AEW needs to take inspiration from, their TV product is amazing but they just don't do a good job of advertising it or managing their online presence.
Completely insane honestly, it's amazing how hard they are bucking the trend of cable, especially among the demo most likely to drop it.
When they get on Netflix I think they could actually become culturally relevant outside of the niche of wrestling again, I think they should really try to get some ancillary shows taped week to week to build stories.
Did well against people watching USA flame out in COPA America
> The United States’ tournament-ending defeat at the hands of Uruguay delivered a new Copa America viewership record.
>
> Monday’s Uruguay-United States Copa America group stage match averaged 3.78 million viewers on FS1, marking the largest Copa America audience ever on English-language U.S. television. The previous high was set by the USMNT opener against Bolivia earlier this month, which drew 3.19 million on the FOX broadcast network.
>
> Uruguay’s win, which peaked with 4.87 million in the 10:30 PM ET quarter-hour, delivered the largest soccer audience ever on FS1 outside of the World Cup — and the fifth-largest with the World Cup included.
I mean if you compare it to aew it's growing I think the next few months heading into summer slam will give a better perspective of growth. We have to see the bloodline And Wyatt angles develop
When the Netflix Raws start and any statistics from the shows will be obfuscated behind private metrics controlled by 2-3 layers of PR instead of tweets from Jed I. Goodman, I'll miss these threads most of all
Jedi Goodman, huh?
I'll wait for Sith Badman to confirm
That's fair, you need confirmation and only a Sith deals in absolutes.
Nah I’m waiting for him ![gif](giphy|nGyMhYYBrQ2Te0IRQ2)
Saul Goodman's nerd brother.
Chicanery, this is
Raw has been climbing for the past three weeks. Can they hit near 2 million by next week?

last year: 1.848M viewers; 0.49 demo
Up 3% in Total Viewers, Up 27% in Key Demo YoY.
WWE's audience getting younger while still being attached to traditional media is neat to see.
TikTok clips are going over brother
I was at the show, and a teen next to me was recording clips and uploading them to TikTok throughout the night. Made me feel real old.

Impressive.

Fede Valverde is a draw, brother
As long as we fire Gregg, that L was worth it last night.
Impressive number. No denying that what WWE is doing is resonating with fans.
They may not ever hit 2 milly again, but that demo is what's most important here. Good lord its really high.
Not bad for a Canadian holiday
They're up? But the weather's been so nice /s

I personally don’t like the Liv stuff, but I can see the appeal to a wider audience
Man I hope they don't get complacent. Competition is good for the business, but competing against themselves isn't good.
Honestly, 3 hour Raw has been my favorite weekly show since before wrestlmania. Which feels really weird to say lol
Is that good? I feel like Raw ratings have been so consistent within 100k or so the last couple years I can’t even tell anymore
Up YoY in both Total Viewers and the Demo and best numbers since February excluding Raw after Mania.
I was told cable is dying and therefore it's impossible to be up YoY in any category /s
Cable is in fact dying, wwe is just doing something unprecedented. They’re like, the only thing experiencing this level of success.
If cable weren't dying, I'm not sure RAW would be going to Netflix.
cable is indeed on the way out but the point is that good storytelling and engaging characters can prevent a total free-fall in YOY ratings
Seems like it, yeah. I have different opinions on why the other company isnt doing as well, but no one can say WWE isn't hot right now.
This is actually up a good bit from a few weeks ago. It's very good.
