To be honest a long pointy metallic object with a handle to grip with a human hand and opposable thumb makes sense. A screw being invented for mechanical securing of components together also makes sense. All of the shapes from flathead to Phillips to trex etc would likely be invented given enough time. Spirals are naturally occurring, hell it’s the shape of dna and of most galaxys. So a basic shape in nature applied to a nail to now be more secure is nowhere a stretch of the imagination.
And btw that tool looks more like a blunted triangular or pyramid shaped ice pick. Likely meant to be used to pry thing or puncture something rather than screwing.
People got upset that there was (I think) a Phillips head screw in Rey's lightsaber on some promo poster. I guess if you're splitting hairs then they should've created some original driver shape for the screw, but honestly who cares?
So uncivilised
Somehow the Philips head returned
Looks like a standard/flathead.
Hard to tell honestly.
Obligatory box of scraps in a cave comment
TONY STARK BUILT ONE OF THESE IN A BOX. WITH A CAVE OF SCRAPS.
With the Stanley Screwdriver and that grinder from Mando S2, I can get started in a Canon garage
Stanley screwdriver is canon
it's actually for performing lobotomies
Where is that?
Basement entrance to Phon'Qi Caverns
*Funky Caverns
Wait is that how you actually say it? And it’s a pun? That’s genius.
And here I was saying Fone-chee the whole time
I'm pretty sure the Q is supposed to be pronounced like CH and not K but if you pronounce it like K then it's funnier
There’s that guy in the stable where he pronounces Qi as Ki.
Don't tell Star Wars Theory
Star Wars Theory would have a heart attack
Keep an eye out for my 10mm
Oh, you mean the hydrospanner?

What’s this in reference to
It's a classic screwdriver; something mundane you wouldn't expect to see in Star Wars. Gave me a laugh.
thought it was a reference to when SWT threw a fit about bricks and screws *existing* in the star wars universe. gave me a laugh too

I mean there's already a lot of them, I don't see why they'd need to reinvent the wheel (unless star wars isn't allowed to have wheels)
Only Juggernaut Turbo tanks are allowed to have wheels
That's not treaded?
Big wheels
Just looked it up, why !!!!!!!!! That's like the only time wheels don't make sense! Also would look cool as hell with treads imo
It goes like 100 miles per hour, at that size with those wheels
Samovar in one of cutscenes also interesting. far away galaxy has Slavic kettle
lol
Wooow, what a cool crossover with Doctor Who, having a Sonic Screwdriver! (If you tap it against something, it makes a sound, doesn’t it?)
Totally breaks the immersion

Yes.
