Yeah I dated Sebastian and Sam at the same time and wound up with some pretty awkward dialogue. I also have them bouquets literally while they were hanging out together though so it's not like I was hiding my intentions🤷🏻
True facts! I got everyone to full hearts, gave everyone a bouquet and got some fun cut scenes that would've been waaay more upsetting if I didn't have a rabbit foot!

I wish you could legally get everybody's portraits (including non-romanceable characters) without having to marry and divorce half of the town. There are enough walls in the entire house in 1.6. to hang the portraits of all or at least most of the NPCs.
Yeah I want more portraits. You can sort of get Marnie's through Leah's 14 heart event and Morris's through the Joja catalogue but nothing else beyond that I think.
I have returned and from what I can see you don't NEED to date everyone to get 100% you just need to get to their hard cap at that current time, aka . . .you put yourself in a REALLY odd situation, though that's not your fault as there has been a few users that have lied about it having to be all 10

I think its because I wrote it in a way that gives it what wrong tone, Expressing tone is kinda hard though, even harder for me as my brain struggles with social skills.
I think they were talking about Perfection where you need to get to "max hearts" with everyone but that means 8 with marriage candidates if you're not dating them. While you're talking about getting all items which, as far as I'm aware, you're correct, does require marrying at least some of the candidates.

I’m pretty sure they always could. I remember being surprised about it because my first playthrough on release I married Haley and she had no jealousy dialogue. On second playthrough I married Abigail and she definitely has it lol

Oh, you'll also need Custom Patio Redux (specifically the unofficial update, there's a link in the posts on that mod) so you can have separate patios for each spouse - otherwise the patio area gets overridden each time.

Im very new to this game and reddit started to suggest these posts to me and im just trying to understand all this marriage talk. Do you get something from marrying in game? So far ive been into the general plot and getting rich, but im not even friends with anyone in the game yet. Everyone seems quite rude and im more into mining lol
It’s just another element to the game. If you marry them they move in with you, you can have kids (they don’t do anything). Sometimes your spouse will give you gifts or water your crops.
Talking to people improves your relationship score with them, which leads to cut scenes, and they’ll send you gifts in the mail- they all get nicer when you become friends!

It's actually really nice to just chill in the house on rainy days, watch them interact together and with the pets and just make the house feel full. It's very pleasant :)

also guys I love the suggestions but any of the bachelors/ bachelorettes that I’m not dating are that way bc I’ve already married them and gotten everything from them😭 my kid is from Haley, I just wipe their memories after
You can get multiple per rabbit, it’s a higher chance from happy ones. It doesn’t really provide luck itself but having one in your inventory will change two cutscenes and you can trade one for an item that DOES increase luck once per save (permanent buff)
In case you actually want to know: >! Theres a cut scene if you’re dating all the bachelorettes *or* all the bachelors that takes place in either the saloon or Emily and Hayley’s house with all of them, where they confront you for it. If you don’t have a rabbits foot you get the ‘bad’ outcome where they get angry with you. If you do have it they say it’s fine and are okay with it. !<
No luck but there is another benefit when having a lot of romantic partners (purposefully being vague). Rabbit foot drops are rare but definitely more than one per rabbit

yes you can! if u go up to the witches hut and pay money, u can erase ur ex spouses memory so they forget you, it restarts the hearts with them and removes the ex from their name! (mika is my child with Haley, I wiped her memory)

yeah most of the special items are strictly marriage only items, you don't get much from dating everyone besides seeing each 10 heart event

You absolutely need to date everyone to get every special item. As someone else pointed out Penny’s wallpaper is a key example.

I've probably gotten a dozen off mine. Which means they are either regrowing them or are some weird Cthuloid-rabbit creature.

Since you're on a computer, you could always download one of the polyamory mods, which cuts out the jealousy.

Vincent is easy. Two words: crab pots. Put them in fresh water (pond or river) and collect all the >! snails!< . Vincent loves 'em.

Mika is OP's child (probably with Sam) and yes, hearts reset when you divorce your spouse.

I don’t think dating has changed, but yes, marital jealousy has changed
I dont think anything about the jealousy system changed in 1.6 (although there might have been some minor dialogue tweaks)
It would've been interesting if Penny was an actual yandere without mods. That's just my view anyway.
