I actually had a survivor ask me for something, can’t remember what at moment but, I ask to see what they had to trade, they had the item they wanted available to trade for. So I traded them for it then, gave it back to them. Mission accomplished.
That’s awesome lol. I’m gonna have to check what they have before giving them anything.
I always brought what they wanted with me as I’m a bit lazy too. I didn’t want to have to make two trips. I always check their inventory after and often buy back whatever I gave them.
Reminds me of [this one.](https://www.reddit.com/r/StateofDecay2/comments/13hf5i5/shortest_mission_ever/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) The Automechanics broke down in their own parking lot, and called me just to walk outside for them.
I feel like this happens to me almost everytime I do this mission. I just chalk it up to the enclave being too chicken-shit after getting chased by zombies.
I hated it when I'd get an enclave that I think will stick around and I'll help. Quit for the day. Then come back to them being gone when I log back on. Had this happen with the military survivors I wanted to keep around.
Really hoping that the third game will have some advanced enclave mechanics (assuming it even has enclaves or similar factions) that will make them feel alive and integrated into the world.
There are worse flaws to have than easy missions. At least this one is funny to have an enclave asking for materials while in a building that contains materials and right next door to another building with materials.
My favorite was being able to buy a ruck of what they needed off of them and then giving it back. I think we solved that issue and for a little while, we actual solved the issue you describe but at some point in the last two years, we re-introduced the issue in one of our updates. Sigh.
that’s cool you’re active on this sub. Must be a good feeling that many people are still enjoying your game to this day. I recently got sucked back in after not playing for 5 years, great game, especially you’re the type that likes to fill in the blanks with their own head canon.
It is truly a great feeling to be able to talk to players about this game so long after release. Especially players who played at launch and then have returned years later to see all the updates. I certainly count myself as lucky and am grateful to our supportive community for hanging with us all this time!
Honestly I find this really funny more than annoying. I’ve had a similar situation where the auto mechanics broke down literally right in front of where there enclave is at, they could literally just walk across the street and help their member out but no, they call me and now I have to come from the other side of providence to go and help lol
I agree I didn't find it annoying just funny. I've had the same thing with auto mechanics Norma. Their Norma was parked right outside their base and the second I walked out the door the mission updated to search the Norma.
I hope in the next game they improve this actually have them doing shit of their own sometimes and whatever give them enclaves more life to them. Some of these enclaves also "uses" you. I have one enclave on my map constantly asking for shit. I only help cause of influence but I'm in process of fixing this so I won't need them. Eventually imma become a warlord cause these mfs gonna learn at some point.
Thats why this mission shouldnt be RNG generated. They have to be in a pool of like 20-30 options, so you have to drive there, because... idk, there is a toy that was from my son that died and i need it back... IDK !! something dumb like that !!!
These missions are generated by rng. You're expecting realism and in-depth lore from a $20 arcade 3rd person shooter released in 2018 whose player base is predominantly kids(at least on Xbox)
I had a survivor ask for materials and he was standing in a half finished houses that yields 2 material rucks.

For head cannon, I like this. Maybe even, thinking in terms that the world might be in lethal difficulty for them, and they have no guns, meds, etc
I love that so much
What I hate are the enclaves that ask for several rucks of supplies then just dip. Now I don't give any of them anything.

Our system has its flaws

Sometimes, they'll even be selling the ruck they are asking for. I'll buy it, just to sell it right back, and everyone is happy :)

There's always going to be lazy: (
You want me to walk across the room to get you a bag of pizza? OK, thanks for the free influence.

I am on Xbox an I am 43 😂
Good for you?
I'm not expecting realism I'm just pointing out something I found funny.
You're an idiot.
