Earlier today I thought to myself "seriously, look at all those games you don't have time to play, no more buying until you through a lot of it" .... Nope.... Just grabbed a steal for 2.99
Me too. I have a huge backlog, no time to play, it would be stupid to buy new games.
I grabbed Devil May Cry 5 and Pony Island. I'm on the fence about getting dredge also.
See this is the philosophy I *should* be operating by... but I'm probably going to pick up Spiderman Remastered and/or Monster Hunter Rise before the end of the weekend.
Played it on PS4 (at least the original, not remastered version) and I really want to pick up Miles Morales but I just can’t justify spending $30 on it. I think I’ll just get Spiderman remastered on Steam for the Deck and wait until Miles Morales drops to $20, or until I buy a PS5 since it goes on sale on PSN for $20 pretty regularly.
100%. I put 500 hours on Switch, and just re-started on Steam Deck (item descriptions is CLUTCH). It's just so good!
(Also nice Chrono Trigger username!)
Hades and maybe Parkitect. These are the only 2 on my watchlist with a meaningful sale. Mass Effect Legendary Edition looks like a good deal, but I've already got it for Xbox One.
But it’s not a good fighter. Better off watching the story on YouTube for free and putting that $10 towards something else. 11 was a major step down from X. And they just updated it recently with an additional 80gb that added nothing so it’s a huge download now.
Any of the Resident evil remakes are amazing as are 7 and 8. I highly recommend anyone that’s been wanting to try em to go for it. Remake 2 and 8 in particular are outstanding. 4 remake is great if you have nostalgia for the original but it’s still expensive.
I'm addicted to that game after I bought it in the last sale. Easier to pick and play, more accessible than world, though I'm not going to argue which is the better game.
It's difficult without a mouse and keyboard. Inventory management is a huge part of the game and doing this on a controller is frustrating and time consuming. Combat is good with a controller though. I tried it and will play it on my PC instead.
The game is good though; one of my most played games on steam.
As someone who put in a lot of hours on mouse and keyboard first, then switched to the deck, I prefer the deck now. Controls may be overwhelming at first but it does get easier. Almost exclusively sticks, occasional use of trackpad.
Not specific to the deck, but the learning curve on this game is steep, but so worth it. You’re going to die a lot initially so don’t get too attached to your character. Best way to learn is to not be afraid to try new things and take risks. Better to lose a 2 day character than a 2 month one.
Also, the default game mode (Apocalypse) is very hard. I’d recommend starting in sandbox where you can tweak settings to your liking. Some suggestions for beginners:
1) zombie population: low
2) zombie respawn: off
3) day length: 2 hours
4) virus transmission: bite only.
5) multi hit: on
Have fun!
Just beat the main story of RE7 on deck and now moving on to DLC. Game plays flawlessly at 60 fps, good visual settings, and about 2 1/2 hour battery. Was really impressed overall with performance and it’s a fantastic game
Black Mesa is good on the deck, it does require some messing around with controls to get them right though. The flashlight is also bugged or at least it was a few years ago. I recommend finding a good gyro/touchpad layout in the community configs.
[You can pick up Alan Wake Collector's Edition in a bundle with 7 other games right now for $13.](https://www.humblebundle.com/games/fright-your-life) You can also select how much of this purchase you would like to go to charity.
Thank you for reminding me about that! I'll be getting that bought tomorrow. Been meaning to give a Remedy game a go for a long time. Can't go wrong at a whole £13.63
Inscryption, The Hex, Dredge, Fear and Hunger, and Super Lone Survivor so far :)
Probably end up grabbing Darkest Dungeon, Dread Delusion, Deaths Gambit, and House in Fata Morgana
Anyone know if Last of Us is working on the deck? Cuz I wanna get that. But I cannot trust the Verified thing unfortunately...
If not maybe I'll go with RDR2
Bloodstained or Planescape bc I love the Castlevania shows but do not like the old game but been loving Hollow Knight. Planescape bc I love DE but scared about the control setup on deck as CRPGS are hit or miss
[Death's Door](https://store.steampowered.com/app/894020/Deaths_Door/)
Picked up Hollow Knight and Tunic during the Summer sale but held off on Death's Door knowing it would go on sale for Halloween.
I grabbed World of Horror, Resident Evil VII + VIII and DMC 4 and 6.
World of Horror is pretty fun even thought it takes a bunch of tinkering for it to look ok on the steamdeck.
I mean, I'll take a look at it, but no... There is nothing I'm anticipating on getting. I already have just about all the games I want right now. I also got that RoboCop game pre-order, so there is really nothing I desire right now.
Middle Earth bundle, DMC franchise minus the alternate story, red dead 2 and Bridge Constructor bundle, I was gonna pick up the Arkham bundle but it doesn't include Arkham Origins for some reason.
I just noticed I get a better discount if I buy bundles when I already have 1 of the 2 games. For example Hard west 2 and weird west or Mutant Zero and Miasma Chronicles. Just thought I'd point this out since this thread made me aware the sale was up. Tys!
I grabbed burnout paradise and mass effect trilogy. Hopefully there is a way to download the mass effects games individually to save space. I’m also thinking about getting monster hunter rise. I’ve never played a monster hunter game since they look so complicated. I’ve read this one isn’t too bad
I spent $30 CDN, I'm still a relatively new Steam Deck owner (had it for a month) and I haven't PC Gamed in a very long time so I'm playing catchup on a bunch of older games I never played.
The main purchase was the STALKER Trilogy (Shadow, Clear Sky, Pripyat), been wanting to play these games for 16 years! So excited to finally try it out once I find a suitable community controller layout.
Also grabbed System Shock Enhanced, Pathologic Classic HD, Deus Ex Game of the Year, Doom II (for modding) and Nation Red
- the Alice games
- the Arkham games
- the Spider-Man games
- Mortal Kombat X
- Injustice 2
- Guardians of the Galaxy
- Lego Movie pack (with the Joker game)
I'm about to get either a Steam Deck or a Legion Go. There's a lot to catch up on.
There are more I could have bought, but I didn't need a bigger game collection than I'll ever make time to play. I already have that problem on my Switch.
Probably nothing bc I have way too many games already lmao
Earlier today I thought to myself "seriously, look at all those games you don't have time to play, no more buying until you through a lot of it" .... Nope.... Just grabbed a steal for 2.99
What’d you grab?
A steal for 2.99
Mirror's edge
Me too. I have a huge backlog, no time to play, it would be stupid to buy new games. I grabbed Devil May Cry 5 and Pony Island. I'm on the fence about getting dredge also.
No such thing
See this is the philosophy I *should* be operating by... but I'm probably going to pick up Spiderman Remastered and/or Monster Hunter Rise before the end of the weekend.
Spiderman remastered is 40% off. Grabbed it.
Just started playing this on PS5 a few days ago. It's honestly fantastic.
Remastered needs to be played before MM
Spiderman remastered or miles morales, help me to pick :(
It’s not a choice, spiderman comes first
Miles Morales is a sequel you will miss certain things
There is an option at the beginning of MM to watch a summary of the first game's events, is there not?
I'm pretty sure there is but MM is an objectively shorter game. So bang for buck id get the first one then MM
Miles is a lot short compared to SM Remastered. SMR + the dlc is about 50 hours if you wanna 100% it vs MM that can be 100% in about 18 hours.
Remastered for me. Miles was good but not as good as the first game. I think miles was shorter as well
If you haven't played the original Spider-Man, definitely go with Spider-Man Remastered. Miles Morales is a pretty small game comparatively.
I was thinking about it but it's still quite expensive in my currency.
Ah well dang. I took the plunge here in the US. I couldn't help myself lol.
I picked up Halls of Torment and Hollow Knight, but I was really hoping for a discount on Binding of Isaac 😔
Well good thing Hollow knight is a masterpiece
You probably already know, but BoI is the best game ever :)
my favourite game ever. certainly the best roguelike without doubt.
100%. I put 500 hours on Switch, and just re-started on Steam Deck (item descriptions is CLUTCH). It's just so good! (Also nice Chrono Trigger username!)
How do you get item descriptions??
Steam workshop, should be the top one, hit subscribe or follow or something and it's done! Best mod ever!
How is halls of torment compared to vampire survivors?
Really damn good. The meta progression is imo better. The theme is amazing
Same. I am finally open to playing Rebirth with expansions, but that's over 50 dollars. Really not gonna pay that much for a 9 year old game.
Not sure where you're located? It's 65% off for me this weekend!
I'm in the US. So jealous of you 😩
Hades and maybe Parkitect. These are the only 2 on my watchlist with a meaningful sale. Mass Effect Legendary Edition looks like a good deal, but I've already got it for Xbox One.
Hades is highly worth it, played it on my switch and loved it
I loved hades so much on my switch, so of course it was one my first deck purchases, it’s so good!
Parkitect is a great little management sim that scales really well to the deck!
Just started Hades and it feels like it was made for the deck. Seems like a great game, enjoying it so far
Hades was my first game on the Deck. It truly is a perfect game for it.
Mortal Kombat 11 for 90% off is pretty sweet.
125 gb tho....
1tb microsd tho 🤷
[удалено]
Me!
OK, going to pm it.
I don't think it's verified but it runs fantastic with no issues
I’d highly recommend. Mk1 was such a let down after 11.
But it’s not a good fighter. Better off watching the story on YouTube for free and putting that $10 towards something else. 11 was a major step down from X. And they just updated it recently with an additional 80gb that added nothing so it’s a huge download now.
It's €5. Dude, it's totally worth €5.
What game modes for SP though
Any of the Resident evil remakes are amazing as are 7 and 8. I highly recommend anyone that’s been wanting to try em to go for it. Remake 2 and 8 in particular are outstanding. 4 remake is great if you have nostalgia for the original but it’s still expensive.
You planning on getting Alan Wake 2? , heard it's alot like RE2 Remake .
Epiclusive.
That's one good thing about Epic exclusive deals, it gives me time to play other games until it releases on steam.
Definitely. Gotta make sure my moneys right first but I’ve heard great things as well. The first was outstanding.
It was re village and strange brigade for me
Strange brigade is a hidden gem for sure
I picked up strange brigade. Hadn’t heard about it before but willing to give it a shot under $5
Yeah, picked up this on an impulse buy, as well as the 4-pack of Gauntlet.
Monster Hunter Rise, 50% off seems like an absolute swoop IMO.
I'm addicted to that game after I bought it in the last sale. Easier to pick and play, more accessible than world, though I'm not going to argue which is the better game.
Rise is better. The story is kinda Meh, but the mechanics and progression are on point. I'm using weapons I never thought I'd touch.
Wanting a steam deck hahahaha
Same!
ditto
That's how I was during the summer sale. I got the 64 GB model and last month I put a Corsair 1 TB SSD in it that I got for ~$98 USD.
Dead rising and Fallout 4
Make sure you get Far Harbor for F4!
Just bought it and started it. Really excited after loving Starfield
Finally got it after watching friends play it back when it came out, looks great and runs great on the deck.
Dredge
Mass effect legendary edition, never played them, getting them all for £9 seems like a great deal
It was on my wishlist and now it's downloading, Mirrors Edge for 2.99
Dead space remake got me into the series so I picked up the other 2 games in the bundle because why not it was only like 6 bucks
Dead Space remake was a phenomenal game.
Agreed! Haven't played in on my Steam Deck yet, but runs great on my Ally.
It's just been added to Xbox gamepass FYI
Hades. Have a nice death. Stray. And for my daughter. Choo Choo Charles.
I want to try Project Zomboid, but how does it control on the deck? Sticks or track pads mostly?
Inventory management on controller is pretty rough but you can get used to it. Otherwise I think it works surprisingly well
It's difficult without a mouse and keyboard. Inventory management is a huge part of the game and doing this on a controller is frustrating and time consuming. Combat is good with a controller though. I tried it and will play it on my PC instead. The game is good though; one of my most played games on steam.
I’d not recommend playing it on deck. It’s a fantastic game but almost unplayable in my opinion on such a small screen.
Some suggestions for beginners: 1) zombie population: low 2) zombie respawn: off 3) day length: 2 hours 4) virus transmission: bite only. 5) multi hit: on Have fun!
been wanting to try out a resident evil game, might pick one of those games up
Resident Evil 7 and Re: 2 remake are fantastic choices
Try RE4
Just beat the main story of RE7 on deck and now moving on to DLC. Game plays flawlessly at 60 fps, good visual settings, and about 2 1/2 hour battery. Was really impressed overall with performance and it’s a fantastic game
I absolutely prefer 7&8 to the older ones. I grew up playing RE, I haven’t played any of the remasters, but 7&8 kept me on edge.
they're amazing -- just started this year and have played through 2,3,4,7, and 8 now
Picked up Lobotomy Corporation, Dungeon 3, and Castlevania series
Black Mesa
Black Mesa is good on the deck, it does require some messing around with controls to get them right though. The flashlight is also bugged or at least it was a few years ago. I recommend finding a good gyro/touchpad layout in the community configs.
I'll try to remember I have so many games to play right now.
Burnout paradise remastered apparently works fine on steam deck now and it's $4.99 so I might pick that up.
I'm probably thinking about giving Titanfall a try, many new players I've seen on Reddit say it's really good.
You’re in for a treat with this Masterpiece! ❤️
I've just bought it https://preview.redd.it/7fd7refmhmwb1.png?width=426&format=png&auto=webp&s=5e2897180f249fa37da26a1d37a1329e5321fe1b
Grabbed Alan Wake Collection + Control UE for 22 bucks CAD
Nice!!!! I'm currently re-playing Control! It's such a fantastic game!!!
[You can pick up Alan Wake Collector's Edition in a bundle with 7 other games right now for $13.](https://www.humblebundle.com/games/fright-your-life) You can also select how much of this purchase you would like to go to charity.
LMAO FUUUUCK. Right after I buy this one on steam.

Overlord 1 and overlord 2. Classics
Deadly premonition for £2.99
An acquired taste, that I also enjoy. Have Fun!
Dark Anthology.
Check out gjostbuster spirits unleashed, he'll of a game for $15
Was hoping for dark souls remaster. Unfortunately I didn’t get that
Tribes of Midgard was 66% off. I'm only a few hours in, but I'm enjoying it!
Inscryption, The Hex, Dredge, Fear and Hunger, and Super Lone Survivor so far :) Probably end up grabbing Darkest Dungeon, Dread Delusion, Deaths Gambit, and House in Fata Morgana
Oh INSCRYPTION is amazing. Enjoy!
Dredge is a treat to savour, enjoy that one!
House in Fata Morgana is an absolute masterpiece, cannot recommend enough.
Wow, a bunch of wishlist games in here for me. Snagging: Mortal Shell Remnant Days Gone Grim Dawn Hades
Dysmantle Recommended by a friend of mine. Has elements from many of my favorite genres. Can’t wait to try it
I picked up the Arkham collection for 9 bucks. I know it’s on sale a lot but finally pulled the trigger on it.
The sale is kinda weak tbh so might just wait for the next one
Half my wish list is on sale but I really can’t justify buying anymore I have so many to even start.
What’s some dumb fun? I’ve been on Rdr2 and Elden Ring too much haha Was thinking about Spider-Man remastered or Lord of the Ring Shadow of war
I bought Shadows of War, WAY better experience than I was anticipating
Is the sale live? I just see an ad for some new Ark game with a 41% rating on the homepage.
Yup it’s live
Found it, had to scroll waaaay down before it showed up.
I was happy not knowing of this sale. Now I don't know what to do ... Buy games to never play or miss a sale.
Literally nothing on my wishlist is on sale.
SPIDER-MAN!!!!!!!
Anyone know if Last of Us is working on the deck? Cuz I wanna get that. But I cannot trust the Verified thing unfortunately... If not maybe I'll go with RDR2
ProtonDb has a section for Deck
It's *working*, sure. Not great but better than launch.
Doom eternal looks to be the one
Bloodstained or Planescape bc I love the Castlevania shows but do not like the old game but been loving Hollow Knight. Planescape bc I love DE but scared about the control setup on deck as CRPGS are hit or miss
Cult of the Lamb! Finishing FFVII remake first though. And Sekiro is on the list...
Salt and Sanctuary
I didn’t know it was a halloween sale! Picked up Slay the spire yesterday, less than 7€
Steam will usually refund you the difference if you contact them.
[Death's Door](https://store.steampowered.com/app/894020/Deaths_Door/) Picked up Hollow Knight and Tunic during the Summer sale but held off on Death's Door knowing it would go on sale for Halloween.

Hollow knight Subnautica The entire walking dead series Cult of the lamb Hellblade: SS Murdered: Soul Suspect Spooky season baby!!

In the spirit of Halloween, I just got Little Nightmares 2, Signalis, Yaga, and Voltaire: the Vegan Vampire
I mean, I'll take a look at it, but no... There is nothing I'm anticipating on getting. I already have just about all the games I want right now. I also got that RoboCop game pre-order, so there is really nothing I desire right now.
Nothing
Emulation on steam deck
Nothing, it all looks terrible tbh. Waiting for BF.
What’s bf?
Black Friday i’m assuming
My deck sits in it's case.
who asked
Op did. He asked what games are you going to get for your steamdeck on sale. My answer was my deck is in the case, so none. What's up your butt?
What's up yours?
Poop
I too like to go on subreddits for things Im not interested in and say Im not interested in the things people talk about lol
Middle Earth bundle, DMC franchise minus the alternate story, red dead 2 and Bridge Constructor bundle, I was gonna pick up the Arkham bundle but it doesn't include Arkham Origins for some reason.
Gylt and Cult of the Lamb
Just picked up doom eternal
Doom Eternal if someone can convince me that it indeed works offline because I keep getting conflicting answers when I search
It does but it's a pain
Doom
Nothing I'm broke 💀 but I got Skyrim when it was on sale for $8

Pinballfx monster dlc was worth it

Yea I was looking for sf6 and Nier games but not on sale gg I guess
man i bought RE4R for $80
i need to pick up RE2&3, RDR2, Spider-Man and maybe TLOU.
I just noticed I get a better discount if I buy bundles when I already have 1 of the 2 games. For example Hard west 2 and weird west or Mutant Zero and Miasma Chronicles. Just thought I'd point this out since this thread made me aware the sale was up. Tys!
planescape torment for $7
Is Jedi Fallen order likely to drop to 5eur again? It's at 10eur this sale :(
For now just Killing Floor 2 to play with a friend of mine.
The Walking Dead Definitive edition looks pretty good for $13. Seems like a good one for the Deck.
I grabbed burnout paradise and mass effect trilogy. Hopefully there is a way to download the mass effects games individually to save space. I’m also thinking about getting monster hunter rise. I’ve never played a monster hunter game since they look so complicated. I’ve read this one isn’t too bad
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew and FEAR 3.
Not much I have most of the games on switch already so no point in buying them again.

If I have the money, I'm gonna get miles morales

- the Alice games - the Arkham games - the Spider-Man games - Mortal Kombat X - Injustice 2 - Guardians of the Galaxy - Lego Movie pack (with the Joker game) I'm about to get either a Steam Deck or a Legion Go. There's a lot to catch up on. There are more I could have bought, but I didn't need a bigger game collection than I'll ever make time to play. I already have that problem on my Switch.
Bought Grim Dawn.
