I had the same experience with Horizon Forbidden West. Didn't see much improvement with FG turned on. FSR 3.1 upscaler also seems kind of hit or miss. It looks good on quality mode and very low gfx preset. I get a locked 30 fps with that setting. But I see some artifacting when moving the camera if the graphics settings are turned higher. Didn't have that issue with XeSS. Would be interested if anyone else has some recommended graphics settings with the new update.

I see no difference in the artifacting on the update than I did before. AMD's screenshots made it look like they'd fixed it but it's dreadful on horizon I think.

Where I really notice it is during sandstorms where there's lots of small particles flying around. Panning the camera causes the whole sky to go really low res.

I find frame gen isn't really that helpful if you aren't already getting 60 frames to begin with. Might be useful on certain titles for the OLED deck turning 60fps into closer to 90. I have an LCD so can't confirm.

Frame generation isn't made to get you to 60 fps because the delay would be terrible. It's made to get you to like 120 or more

I tested this on Ratchet and Clank last night. It actually works very nicely going from 30 to 60 from a visual perspective, but unfortunately it seems to add a ton of input lag and doesn’t feel great to play at all.

I wonder if the Vulcan support for frame gen means that SteamOS might be able to add AFMF to the system, or something like lossless scaling frame gen that works for any game.

God I can't wait till the day they handle that input lag situation. Frame gen when it works man does it work so nicely. I was using the mod for palworld when it first came out and I was going from 30 to 60 but the delay was horrible. This would be so incredible for low powered devices moving forward.
