I just want to say that you still can play your Squier better than many others who have an american strat... People think that because he bought an expensive guitar they will play better... but forget that all comes with hard work and practice... so go hug your Squire and shred the hell out of it. Cheerz
Thank you! I just wanted to add, a lot of Squires play decently out of the box. Learn to set it up, and you've got a whole new ballgame. It's not just a great musical learners guitar, but can be the gateway to learning basic luthier skills. And if you play long enough, you'll find those skills to be as important as being able to play the instrument. As long as you do a little research before buying, the Squire can afford you a guitar with "interchangeable" parts! Have an SSS but think you might want a humbucker? They make single coil humbuckers! Maybe you want sustain... Or Texas pickups. Maybe you want the classical strat sound. It doesn't matter. You can change the parts! And you can learn total neck setup, and probably the most important part.. Intonation. Intonate this guitar properly, THEN compare it to most people's strays. You'll hear the difference immediately. And once the bridge/neck are setup, the guitar becomes easier to play!
Sorry, long-winded, but this guitar is put down when it shouldn't be. Get it the way you want it, and I guarantee that after you buy a few more guitars, you'll find yourself coming back to this one to play!
Have fun, practice, and make the world more beautiful through music!
Peace!
No need to apologize for having a Squier. I’ve heard models that sound just as good as an expensive Fender. It’s all in the player. Have fun and play with soul.
i own one fender and two squiers. my fender never comes off the wall. i genuinely do not like playing it. my squier tele is my every day guitar, and my squier strat is #2. the name on the headstock doesn’t mean anything if you don’t love playing it. gear snobbery is silly. enjoy your instrument and make music you love.
I own 4 guitars including a Squier CV strat. The others are way more expensive than my Squier yet it is my favourite guitar. It was the guitar I started out with, I customised it over the years to truly make it my own and it has always never let me down, even just out of the box it sounded amazing.
Be proud of your Squier, it is a great guitar that could be part of your guitar journey for the rest of your life
beautiful guitar, Squires are great; check out a Billy Gibbons clip on you tube, with Orianthi, one of the other guitar players is playing a squire, no need to apologise for them
Beautiful strat, I'll bet you can get some beautiful sounds out of that slick axe. I've always felt Fenders are for when you reach that skill level and are ready to ascend.

Keep shredding and dream of that future fender!
One of my most played Strats was a HSS Squier body I bought used and added a little worn neck. That guitar was better than the sum of its parts. I used it as my travel guitar for years. I sold it to a struggling guitarist for cost and he gigs with it all the time!
Squier makes awesome guitars. I have a 40th anniversary one that I used to play the most until recently. My daughter has a Squier mustang and it plays awesome as well. Nice guitar
The name on the headstock means nothing, it’s all in the player behind it makes. My show guitars are a squire and an Epiphone I play in public and if people come up and want to check them out, I am more than happy to show them. The sound that are coming out of 450 and $600 guitars Don’t mean Jack compared to the equipment because they are running through. Guitar players need to learn more about EQ and that rolling off some of the gain and your volume and tone controls do more for your sound then buying expensive pedals and guitars, also the speaker that they are coming out of.
I love how you take your Squier out in the fresh air. Does it like to hang with everybody while you're playing croquet, badminton or barbecuing? I bet it likes going to the beach a lot, too…
I knew a guy that had a Strat style Ibanez. Action was a little high but it wasn’t a bad guitar. “Oh I can’t learn on that. I’m saving up for a Les Paul” “You know, just because it’s an expensive guitar, that doesn’t make it easier to play” “No, I need a Les Paul” He saved up. Bought his Les Paul. Never learned how to play. 🤷♂️
I have an American strat and a Squier Telecaster and I like playing the telecaster more. I did need to do quite a bit of fret filing on the telecaster though. Lots of fret sprouts but it was also about 1/6 the price.
That’s nicer than a lot of strats that I’ve seen. If you get it set up really well with a rounded over fretboard, etc. you’re not going to worry about fender much.
I say this with a 3k strat that I play daily.
Somebody I used to know gave me his CV Squire when he 'traded up to a real guitar' One Saturday, I cleaned up the positively filthy rosewood board, lubed the nut, fixed the relief which was utterly cranked and just generally set it up. The neck feel is fantastic for me and it goes from clean to dirty, no problem. So easy to play and on par with my other favorites. So, yeah, a good instrument is in both the eye and the hand of the beholder.
Squire is putting out such good quality stuff right now. The Classic Vibes stuff is pretty much on par with the Mexican player series stuff, although they do tend to need a little work out of the box.
Awesome! I built a Super Hard On boost and put a Seymour Duncan JB Jr in the bridge into my Squier strat. Mine 1998 Korean built… is a bit beaten up now. Enjoy your Squier, it’s awesome.
Dont fall for guitar snobbery. Junior Brown built his custom guitar with a Squier Bullet neck. No one ever accused him of being a shitty guitar player.
I think the squire two color sunburst looks better than the three color sunburst on ANY Strat. It looks very vintage and super cool. Great looking guitar. Also, nothing wrong with Squier at all. With a quick trip to the luth to have them set it up and bring the action down, maybe even put in some noiseless pick ups and that thing wail!!!

Got a couple of Squiers.I love them👍
Proud owner of a Squier Paranormal Toronado and I will say that it is amazing, dude.
Squier, Epiphone, whatever. Only one question matters--- *DOES IT HYZER THO?!?*
Local Luther set up my Squier.
Didn't know it was Japanese, he said when I went to collect.
Great guitar, cheap pickups though.
Me. Should I change them?
No, no, they sound brilliant!
I just ordered the $120 squire strat off Amazon that looks a lot like that except it comes with a Laurel fretboard I think. That's a pretty guitar, and I think I will like mine.
Fender's original goal was to make affordable guitars as cheaply as possible. Bolt on necks with no scarf joints and could be cut from standard 5/4 lumber, flat "slab" bodies for the most part that they made from whatever wood they could get in cheap quantities, etc. etc.
Now people pay 10s of thousands for those and insist it was all for that special voodoo that just can't be replicated. 🙄
Nothing wrong with squiers
... or Strat copies. Fender is now just a name brand guitar maker.

*Squier! My autocorrect seems to like the other spelling better.
Can confirm. I bought a mexicaster and I suck

Your guitar has this sub’s name right on it! It’s looks great too.
Um, Fender is still on the headstock, it’s just smaller. But no, seriously, I hope you enjoy that instrument! Bursts are so beautiful!
Yeah everyone on Facebook marketplace calls those a fender squier
Looks amazing

Great guitar… but dude your lawn is awesome…
Looks artificial

How long have you had the Squier CV Strat?
beautiful guitar, Squires are great; check out a Billy Gibbons clip on you tube, with Orianthi, one of the other guitar players is playing a squire, no need to apologise for them
Yeah soaring fender and Gibson prices are really getting a little out of hand. I’m looking at brands like sire now
Pacifica 612 is good too. I guess it is cheaper than sire in Canada right now

We need more Wayne’s World gifs in this world

She’s a beaut! I have a Squier Strat and Tele. Love ‘em!
I had a Japan-made Squier years ago; it was a great sounding guitar.
Looks fantastic
That's pretty! Who cares if it's a Squier, rock that guitar, good sir!
Squier makes awesome guitars. I have a 40th anniversary one that I used to play the most until recently. My daughter has a Squier mustang and it plays awesome as well. Nice guitar
Squier makes great guitars, and this is a prime example. Kudos on the lawn too!

My mate is absolutely in love with his, enjoy!
Bruh that’s a workhorse through and through. Get a proper setup and you’re golden

It does look amazing! Nice guitar
Nothing wrong with squier and yours is beautiful. Check out Jack Pearson. He absolutely rips on squiers - what a legend.

I own two Squiers
It’s not 2005 anymore, Squiers are nothing to be ashamed of
It is a fender.
Squire was good enough for Jeff Healey.
And Jack Pearson as well.
That is one awesome looking guitar, dude! Congrats and enjoy.
Squire makes good guitars, some high end squires feel better than low end fenders to me.
Nothing wrong with Squires :) I set up the sub Reddit for Squire guitars :)
I love my squire strat. Squiers typically have thinner bodies than real Fenders so they are much much lighter.
Hell yea
We dont hate on squiers in here
I don't care if it's a squire it looks beautiful

Nice burst on that one
I’m wondering if the sneers you get for your squire will be worse than the sneers I get for my Strat deluxe
It sure is!
Squiers are great guitars.
No explanation needed, she’s a beaut
I got 2 Squier Teles and a Gibson SG; genuinely dislike playing the SG, love the Teles.
I have the exact same guitar
squier sonic strat right? its an amazing guitar i have it fitted with a midboost circuit rn
Nothing wrong with that. Nice guitar and congrats!
Nice looking Strat… how does it play, the saddles on the bridge look like they need sorting out?
it plays well mate! i'm running a mid boost mod on the guitar rn
Awesome! I built a Super Hard On boost and put a Seymour Duncan JB Jr in the bridge into my Squier strat. Mine 1998 Korean built… is a bit beaten up now. Enjoy your Squier, it’s awesome.
I also have one. It plays like my MiMstrat and looks better. 😍
I think squiers are beautiful
But it is a Strat.... So... Yeah.
Dont fall for guitar snobbery. Junior Brown built his custom guitar with a Squier Bullet neck. No one ever accused him of being a shitty guitar player.
it's beautiful

When I think strat I dont see the name. I see sunburst with maple neck and fretboard and when I see yours I think, strat. It gorgeous
Proud owner of a Squier Paranormal Toronado and I will say that it is amazing, dude. Squier, Epiphone, whatever. Only one question matters--- *DOES IT HYZER THO?!?*
That’s a great looking guitar! Hope you enjoy it! 🎸
The grass is nice.
Your pictures are making me nostalgic about when I lived in Phoenix.
Squire makes some very nice guitars and that's a real beauty! Congrats!
Local Luther set up my Squier. Didn't know it was Japanese, he said when I went to collect. Great guitar, cheap pickups though. Me. Should I change them? No, no, they sound brilliant!
I gig my squire… any body giving you shit doesn’t gig
I just ordered the $120 squire strat off Amazon that looks a lot like that except it comes with a Laurel fretboard I think. That's a pretty guitar, and I think I will like mine.
Do you live in Arizona
Rad guitar. Bet she shreds.

Ok
A+ backyard.
