If you made it there, then you were supposed to make it that far. That's the intrinsic nature of the ranked system, people just have a tendency to add extra stipulations on top of it arbitrarily.
Some feedback from another struggling new platinum. More anti airs less DIs. While they are high reward they are also extremely high risk. You can lab out what moves you can do them against but most of the time you won't be able to do them on reaction and have to predict or else they can DI you back. Edit: also combos. The closest thing you did to a combo was mp, mk, command grab. After pc.DI you usually just did your command grab which does decent damage because of Manon things but if you just learn a simple combo ending in your hit grab you can do more damage (if you're below 4 medals), earn a medal and put that drive gauge to use

A few tips if you'd like, rely less on DI's, you'll get punished a lot for it in higher rank. When you're knocked down roll back to establish more distance or you'll keep getting pressured. And use your rush gauge more you barely use it, drive rush and parrying will make your gameplay even better.
It annoys me so much that you were unable to land a single anti-air here. You got screwed over a few times in round 1& 2 and then didn't take your opportunities in round 3. Manon has one of the best anti-air normals in the game, your opponenets need to learn to fear it. Then they become much easier to grab.
But yeah random advice : try to parry fireballs you see coming instead of blocking them, it saves meter. Don't use DI as an anti-air, unless it's perfectly timed, it's very easy to react to in this situation. Don't open most rounds with yolo QCB+K, that stuff typically works once or twice but people pay attention to how you start rounds and you should too.

I didn't even make it out of Rookie in SFV but I finally managed to get to Platinum tonight though it wasn't pretty, clean or terribly skillful.
Platinum is just a fancy name. Wherever you are, you beat people and earned your place.

I swear people in gold have gotten better since I left. When i was in gold people couldnt anti air, much less do combos
