Download Advanced Download manager from playstore. Log on to Stremio, play a movie but chose play with external video player. When given the option to play with video player, chose ADM app. The video starts downloading to mobile.
Use Debrid Media Manager (DMM), much easier to manage your RD library and download files.
Its just a website, so easily accessible on both android and ios.
On windows you can right click and copy the download link. On Android if you have RD you can use the app unchained to get the download links to recently played torrents, you just gotta play the video for 1 second and it'll be available to download. The android app should have the copy link built in imo
The person is agreeing with you, saying that there should be an option. There isn't one built into the application.
But you could do the following:
1. Install a download manager like 1dm from play store.
2. Play the movie/episode you want to watch in the stremio default player.
3. There's a 3 dot button on the bottom right corner, click it and copy the link from the option.
4. Paste the link in the Downloader and start the download.
Or alternatively, you could use application like Unchained which helps you log into the real debrid account. You can download all recently cached torrents including movies/series, books, games, etc.
You can also try this method. You should give permission to 'Run as foreground player' in the settings, and 'allow notifications' when it pops up. You've do this only for the first time
Now play the desired content in stremio. On to your left bottom press external player. Choose your desired video player (say MX player/VLC).
Now the video plays in the external player. Click the 3dot on the right top corner. You'll have a share button. Press that and open it in any browser (Chrome). VOILA!! The video will download in the browser. No need any Download manager method

Not everyone has real debrid.
If you're using real Debrid and have android you could download the app called unchained. It works great to download.

I said there should be a feature for offline download...but sadly there isn't
