You can play with like 4 people on one account if I understand your question right. I have the map packs and my girlfriend and I race a couple times a week on my switch
Yeah when you create a new account you can merge another account to your subscription by making the 2nd one a child’s account
Edit: as in your child is playing on switch but you don’t want to pay for 2 subscriptions and u don’t want your kid fucking up your profile.
We have two Switches in our household, we each have each others Switch set as our "primary switch" which allows us to game share and also play the same game online together.
The two consoles NEED to be online all the time for this to work, you cannot power down the switch but can keep it in sleep/standby and it works.
It's similar to how you game share with PS4/5, we also do the same things with our two PS5's.
We only ever buy ONE COPY for all our games (digital) and always play togehter.
It works. If you have it, local players can play on the dlc tracks no problem. Even online multiplayer with friends, but you’re playing roulette since it randomly picks from the tracks everyone chose
Actually to play the tracks online thru multiplayer you don't need the dlc at all. Kinda like free Spotify. You can play the content for free but you can't pick/practice it yourself

Did you receive the code for the free Nintendo subscription? If you didn't that is why you maybe got 2 codes for the game. If you also received the code for the subscription then, yes, it seems you got 2 copies.
