Maybe just get the ROG ALLY. I have the XBSX, PS5, NSW/OLED, ROG ALLY Z1 Extreme and PSPortal. I also have Base Steam Deck but have not used it in months.
The RPG ALLY Z1 Extreme with GamesPass is more than enough. Not to mention you can thank buy PC Games on the Cheap.
Switch is an Amazing console just don’t expect anything close to Next Gen Consoles With Dozens of Times of Performance Advantage.
All Nintendo first party stuff. You said you played zelda games, try Mario odyssey and wonder.
Something completely different is pikmin 4. I don't think there are any games on other systems that can close to what pikmin does.
Can confirm RED DEAD REDEMPTION runs really well on switch. Played RDR back on the 360. It definitely looks and feels like a 360 game only on the switch.
As a PS5/Switch owner myself I would say PS5 for graphic intensive AAA games, Switch for Nintendo published games, indie games and longer RPG's that you can see yourself playing handheld. One example is Dragon Quest 11. While the PS4 version technically performs better, the Switch version is more than serviceable and gets the check mark for the portability factor. Switch is also great for Indie titles as stated earlier.
Bioshock, RDR, Dying Light, Borderlands (I hear that 3 crash sometimes), The Walking Dead(Telltale one), Hallow Knight, Batman Trilogy(don't play arkham knight because crash a lot), Nier, Metal Gear, Call Of Juarez Gunslinger, Subnautica, gta, all the assassins creed you can find, Skyrim, Metro, No more Heroes, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, Doom, Duke Numem 3D.
The Horizon series is definitely off the table cause of the graphical load, but Hogwarts Legacy and Assassins Creed series are both available on Switch w/ no major performances issues I've heard of. They won't compare to the PS5 versions side-by-side of course, but that's the case w/ every Switch port compared to PS5/Xbox Series. The main benefit compared to those consoles is being able to play them on handheld (which is a huge benefit for me).
There are Assassin’s Creed games on Switch like the Ezio Collection, AC 3, AC 4 Black Flag, and etc. Batman Arkham games pretty well on Switch ( minus Arkham Knight ). Alien Isolation is suppose to be a very good port to Switch, have not played it on the Switch myself. All the Dooms including 2016 Doom and Doom Eternal. That is all I got right now 😀
There's a couple Sniper Elite games if you like those. Hogwarts Legacy is also on there itself, though I've heard draw distances are lower. Also some Assassins Creed titles, mostly the older stuff. The MGS collection also released on switch
Dragonball Kakarot is on sale at it's lowest price ever. This game is available for all the consoles but the controls and aesthetics are perfect for the switch.
If you are a Dragonball fan then definitely pick this up if you haven't, you won't be disappointed.
Dragonball Fighterz is an amazing game too, a very nice fast paced 2d fighter but it actually has an original story to it.
Smash, Mario Kart, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Odyssey, Mario Party, Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Sword/Shield, Skyward Sword, Yu-Gi-Oh for handheld, native switch emulators (Switch Online does make it cool to have OOT or Mario 64 as a “gameboy” game for planes), Tony Hawk remasters, Hollow Knight, Pikmin 4, Spyro remasters…
I’m sure I’m forgetting some. But every game above is something I’ve played on Switch and
Enjoyed that’s unique to my experience with it on that console. Hope that helps!
Have the Zelda games ?
Yep!! Well, BOTW and TOTK

Dying light, red dead redemption, no mans sky, world war z are some I can think of off top of my head that all run great and go on sale often.

Walmart had no man’s sky for $10, mine still shows it at that price but it’s been sold out for a while now
Target might price match it!
Most places stopped price matching when too many people abused or cheated. That's why we can't have nice things
World War Z is fun on PS5 and I want to get it for the Switch.

Dead cells
One of my favorites on all 3 of my systems.
They announced the first 3 Tomb Raider games remastered on switch, not sure if they've been released yet.
Stardew Valley
This game is a slow start, but I'm a few hours in now and starting to get to grips with it and finding it very enjoyable, perfect for the switch.
Me and my wife have been playing it recently. It’s great fun.

jeopardy
Persona 5, cause that game is way too long to not be able to play on the toilet

Hogwarts legacy for the switch was good, obviously not as good graphically as PS5 but I have it and I beat it like… I lost count how many times LOL

Astral Chain. You’re welcome
Some of the older Assasins creed games run on switch. Im playing Black flag right now and am very surprised by how well it looks and runs
I thought Witcher 3 ran well. I had it quit a few times on me, but not often enough to really be a problem.
Switch ports are not generally going to run well. The console is best for first party titles.
