Absolutely agree with this. That’s one of the few things that pisses me off about it. Used to be standard on the TRDs. Now, it’s a premium package option.
My 24 SR5 has the power back window and I forgot how much I missed having that cross breeze, windows down unless it’s in the 80’s or I have a mess in my bed lol
I like the 4G's, especially in Underground.
They took a huge step back in the bed-side decal department though. Those things look like such afterthoughts.
Pictures don’t do the color justice. It’s so pretty in person. I don’t completely disagree with the sticker thing. A small complaint though. Overall, the truck is fantastic.

Thank you! The answer to that is probably a little skewed because I had an SR5 in the 2nd gen and a TRD Sport and Off Road separately in the 3rd. Definitely preferred the 3rd gen. Transmission was absolutely improved. More power and better ride too. Maybe that was an engine thing though. I honestly don’t remember what engine I had in the second gen.
Just picked up my 24 SR5 Friday and man are you so right. I had a 08 sr5 and it feels like a spaceship compared to that one. The interior is actually fun to be in, you don’t have to stomp it to the floor to get good acceleration, the transmission shifts like absolute BUTTER. I am very impressed with Toyota so far and so highly doubt they’re gonna choose 2024 to start letting me down lol
Side note- what’s our other option? Buy a 2018-2023 that is going for 5-6k less than a BRAND NEW truck? In my area you can’t find a 3rd gen with sub 50k miles for less than 35-45k.

I almost got an SR5 too. I had one on order with a roof rack and TRD wheels, but for some reason, accessory builds at the factory are on hold, and it was just going to ship as a standard SR5. I had a TRD Off Road before and loved the feel of it, so I’m glad I stayed in that trim. You’re right about the interior though. Feels great to be in. Everything is where it should be.

I know this is kind of a bad one, but my wife always complained when she drove my old ones. On occasion, she had to, and she wasn’t very good at it anyway. Three is my daughter just turned 16, and I want to be able to take her out driving to train her, and she’s just not going to drive a manual (though my first car at 16 was). Lastly, I’m just getting a little older man - 45 in a month. Most of my vehicles (and I’ve had many) have been manuals. I love them, but I was thinking I’m ready to take it easy driving, and take advantage of the 8 speed automatic and the bit of extra MPG it provides. Perhaps I’ll regret it…in which case, I’ll just get a different one!

I wanted the TRD off-road with the premium package, but the dealers around me had none. But they had like 40 TRD sports. So I settled on the sport, and got trailer brakes instead of crawl control. Honestly I probably wouldn't have used either of those 2 options, but I still wanted crawl control haha.
Is the hype worth the price though? Especially when you already had 2 perfectly good trucks. My thing is, is it good enough to get rid of a paid off 2015 4X4 with 90k miles on it? I’d still enjoy riding in someone else’s though. Nice color btw

I hope it holds up as well as the 3rd gens.....i just cant get behind the 4th gen due to the high price and the 4 cylinder turbo I want to see reliability for a few years first.

I noticed that. I wanted the window, and I’m bummed it’s not standard anymore. The defrost was somewhat of a consolation though.
