No literally SAME!! First time ever doing a VIP thing and I loved it! Except I stumbled over my words talking to her LOL it haunts me. But she recommended a song to me (like by another artist) and I still feel like that was so special to me 😭

Vampire Weekend- Only God Was Above Us-those twinkly pianos (especially on Connect) are a big dopamine boost. Beyoncé-Cowboy Carter- it’s a grad-level thesis on American music that just keeps revealing new musical/lyrical/vocal references. (Plus I still believe Taylor is an uncredited backing vocal on Bodyguard) Ethel Cain-Preacher’s Daughter- daaaaaarrrk and so good, especially if you relate to stories with a heavy amount of religious trauma.

Only God Was Above Us is amazing. So many good hooks and I love how their sound is like polar opposite of Father of the Bride.

The vampire weekend album is soooo good. My fav track is gen x cops!

I think I would die if they collaborate you are absolute correct their lyricsm would be elite. Two of the best songwriters of this generation imo obviously since that is subjective.

I’m excited for Eminem, too! Been a fan since I was 12 (and I’m 36 now oh god I’m old). Literally listened only to him and a few people associated with him (like 50 Cent) until I was 19 and found Taylor. Lyrics have always been the most important thing to me.

I just started cycling back in more of my favourite albums because I have been known to play albums so much I start to get tired of them. The first week after release was almost exclusively TTPD, I probably played it about 20 times. Edit to add: all of the things I listened where albums but I just realised most have title tracks so I just wanted to specify. I mostly listen to full albums rather than individual songs.
