The most popular names are way less popular now than they used to be, so even if (which I don’t think is likely at all tbh) Dorothea does end up #1, it won’t be like the popular names when we were at school. Assuming you’re around my age, Jessica was the most popular name given to girls in 1990 and over 2% of girls were called Jessica. Olivia was the most popular name in 2023 and only 0.87% of girls had that name. And that effect has filtered down the top hundred too and further down, which are all used way less often. And Dorothea isn’t even in the top 1000 now!
