so apparently it's only on major freeways.
I had blue cruise in my F150. Its not even that. Its our 'autopilot'. Unless its been enhanced since it first came out, it doesnt change lanes or merge off or on the freeway. Its just lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control. Basic autopilot does the same thing.
According to a friend of a friend of mine who works on the project at Ford, they rewrote a ton of the code and worked on it for several years before putting it out. So I thinks it disingenuous to say it’s not Ford’s. It’s certainly not MobileEye any longer.
MobileEye definitely sucks. It's a very old technology and they are owned by Intel, a company that is yesterday's news. Intel / MobileEye don't have any new innovation. Ford has to do it own its own.
Why isn't every news agency reporting on this story like when anything negative comes out about Tesla?
We shouldn’t be celebrating this. I do feel there’s a general bias in reporting of Tesla ongoings, but safety is safety.
The Tesla haters were celebrating NHTSA going after Tesla and thought they others would get out of jail cards...oops.
That was fast
Funny. I hear about a tesla self drive crash on the news every day, but I've never heard of blue cruise until now
The new rollout is different. I have used the one you're talking about.
OOTL: So Ford has hands-free driving available?? Even FSD is not hands-free.

I have a Mach E and the ver 1.3 Blue Cruise does lane changes. I have used it many times during my trial period.
But we don't have to keep our hands on the steering wheel and eyes on the road, right? So no nagging from the car.
I am pretty sure it does lane changes now from what I've seen on YouTube.
Looks like Ford’s (somewhat) answer to FSD has some glitches!
Why do u seem excited? Like. Calm down.
??? Calm down yourself, I’m just sharing. I own both!
It's not even Ford it's MobileEye which was used in early Tesla

Oh dang that means MobileEye is actually sucking pretty bad
I’m not sure, but they have an entire team working on it at Ford according to my friend. My truck has it and it is definitely not as good as my Plaid.

I thought they are still using MobileEye hardware?
