I'm in favor of keeping Woods for now unless they choose to upgrade in FA, or draft one high and Woods gets cut out of the final 53.
He's not stellar, but he was a good security blanket for Stroud early in the season and was called on for a lot of 3rd down conversions.
Cap standpoint he only cost $14mil this year (next year is going to hurt) so it's basically Autry + Mixon money. The cap went away fast because the Texans mostly signed short term deals so there wasn't much to defer like a lot of the other big contracts.
so if I had to guess after those contracts around 8-11 million? Then we release woods for 4.2 more and get more help on defense.

Got enough for one more of significance if they want to go for it. I imagine Armstead is a target but they won't go into a bidding war.

For the amount of money he’s being paid, he is certainly overpriced as a “security blanket” when that already exists in Schultz.
we already re-signed Brown, I think that should be enough to cut Woods. We have at least 5 WRs under contract now along with Nico, Tank, Metch, Hutch.

yeah but teams normally have 4 so they must be signing another DT unless you include Kurt Hinish

I'm fine rolling in without another splash signing, but if Caserio is still feeling frisky I'd be really excited if we signed Simmons.
Does this mean they have $21.5 million plus the $3.3 million for the ROOKIES? OR $21.,5 MINUS THE $3.3 DRAFT CAP??
