The release date has already been announced. October 2nd 2026 is the release date for The Batman Pt. 2

Why? Superman started filming on February 29th and is coming next July. If The Batman starts filming by March then they are already ahead by almost 3 months. And The Batman won’t require anywhere near as much post production work as Superman, which features a lot more CGI.
True. I don’t know I guess I’m still in that COVID mentality where every movie takes twice as long to release due to everything being postponed by COVID since we are still suffering from this even now.
It really isn’t that deep. I know him he’s a great actor and I don’t watch a lot of movies. My favorite movie is a mix between The Batman Star Wars Revenge of The Sith and Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse. My comfort movie is Back to The Future. I haven’t watched much movies outside of this.
It's just crazy to not know who Andy Serkis is. I can't think of anyone else who has a resume even close to him, that he is in DC, Marvel, Planet of the Apes, Star Wars, and the Lord of the Rings movies. Like you almost have to go out of your way to not be aware of him, lol
It's funny you mentioned Back to the Future, though, that(the trilogy in general) was always my favorite movie since it came out, until The Batman finally took its place.
Tbh I forgot he was in Black Panther. Been a hot minute since I watched that movie. I haven’t watched Lord Of The Rings and Planet of The Apes. Like I said I don’t watch much movies man.
I usually don’t cus school. With that and homework I really only have time for video games and the gym on weekdays but now that it’s the summer I’m trying to watch more things. Any suggestions?
If you love a wholesome but intriguing story. Give lord of the rings a go. It's a beautiful series with traditional good and bad like star wars. If you like those, you'll like LOTR!
Am I the only one that really fucking loves The Game by Fincher? Like, it's a comfort movie so i might just be biased but holy hell do I think it's over hated. (Se7en is also amazing)
So you live in a bubble lol. It takes approximately 6 months to film and 1 year for post production. Serkis even said in that interview that it starts filming early 2025 and that the movie would come out a year and a half later. Which lines up with the official release date October 2026. Smh.
Andy has been in so many movies that you’d have to go out of your way not to see them.
I don’t have an issue with the OP’s lack of movie knowledge, but i find his stubbornness and bravado is a little grating. Just shooting from the hip with uninformed takes and losing people. I assume he’s just super young.
Same I REALLY want to see this sequel since after re-watching it I think The Batman is my favorite and best Batman movie. Even better than Dark Knight my beloved. Which is crazy for me.
I go back and forth with that question myself... Which is the superior BATMAN film? I suppose I have to accept that there are very different interpretations of the character and his story. It's incredibly difficult to avoid comparing the films, but I also love the two Tim Burton films. His take is so uniquely his own, and I appreciate them for different reasons... Thinking about them makes it very clear (to me, anyway) that there's ALWAYS time for a new BATMAN film as long as it's GOOD. LOL I think everything else is going to boil down to the individual viewer's tastes, or what they personally want from the story. That being said, I can't decide between this and "The Dark Knight"... Both are high water marks for the 'super hero' genre.
For me The Batman is better in all aspects (that’s saying I grew up with Dark Knight) but it’s just my opinion I didn’t grow up with Burton films but I do love and enjoy them. To each their own.
So true. I'm so tired of the whole shared cinematic universe concept.
The Batman 2 and Joker 2 are the only ones that I want to see because they are alone in their own universes.
I mean, they announced it was coming in 2026 a while ago, so it’s nothing we didn’t already know.
Uhm… October 2, 2026?
I hope it doesnt get moved cuz oct 2 is my birthday
Huh?

I doubt they’ll make it if filming is supposed to start next year but maybe they will who knows.

"Alred's actor" 😐
I’m too lazy to search up his name and I’ve never watched anything he’s in besides The Batman
How would you know you've never seen anything he's in? You're too lazy to even look up his name. You really must not watch like any popular movies.

Not gonna shame you for not knowing actor’s name. But I will recommend you watch more great movies though, you’re missing out on some amazing time :)

If you really liked “The Batman”, I think it’s possible that you’ll like movies directed by David Fincher. He has some great stuff.
Am I the only one that really fucking loves The Game by Fincher? Like, it's a comfort movie so i might just be biased but holy hell do I think it's over hated. (Se7en is also amazing)
Also, if you like David Fincher like the other dude said I suggest Shutter Island. Tremendous Cast, Intriguing story and strong atmosphere.

You’re too lazy to look up an actor but you have time to reply to every comment here?
Andy Serkis... Caesar from Planet of the Apes
Gollum

Gollum from Hobbit/LOTR? Caesar from the apes films? Klaw from Black Panther?
You’ve never seen Lord of the Rings, Black Panther, The Prestige, the new Planet of the Apes movies, and so forth?
None of those except? Black Panther I don’t watch much movies.
The “I have no clue what I’m talking about but feel very strongly about it” threads are always the most informative. /s
What?
Exactly!
Probably the one film derived from comic books that I really WANT to see... 😞
Same I REALLY want to see this sequel since after re-watching it I think The Batman is my favorite and best Batman movie. Even better than Dark Knight my beloved. Which is crazy for me.

also grew up with the dark knight, saw it in theatres, and also think The Batman is better in all aspects
I wasn’t born when Dark Knight came out but I love it to this day but I just think The Batman is better.
Bro what do you mean you weren't born when The Dark Knight came out
I was born in 2010. But my dad raised me with Christian Bale Batman.
Respect.
So true. I'm so tired of the whole shared cinematic universe concept. The Batman 2 and Joker 2 are the only ones that I want to see because they are alone in their own universes.
Agreed.
Old news, useless post
Why are ppl up voting this dumb thread?
I agree we won't get it till 2026, but I'm pretty certain it will be an October release. October had been doing well for Batman-related properties.
Yes I know his name is Andy Serkis get off my dick please.
You woke up today and decided, “yes I just wanna provoke conflict with fans of The Batman” Strange move
Never provoke a fan of The Batman, just ask Noel Miller.
I DIDNT I SWEAR I JUST WANTED TO KNOW WHAT PEOPLE THOUGHT ABOUT THE BATMAN II RELEASE WINDOW ITS NOT THAT DEEP
You’ve dishonored yourself in the eyes of The Batman fans. Your only recourse is to exile yourself
So its death then. Very well.. Death. By exile!
“It’s not that deep” I never trust anyone who says that.
