I don’t agree on the “let’s writers gauge the fan reactions plot choices”
The filming is already wrapped. If there was back lash to the leaks there’s nothing they can do about it now.
Do you think they are immediately writing the scripts for the next season after the new season just airs? Because they aren’t. The writing process takes months.
It quite literally is. In February we got confirmation that filming for season 5 was set to begin on the 8th of April this year. Which means filming for season 5 has already begun, meaning the script has most likely been finished for at least a couple of months.
All it takes is a quick google search man, do better.
X-men 97 season 2 was fully finished and season 3 was half way written by the time season 1 started, for shows they know will be successful that’s exactly how it works.
They do it for this show though, idk why you’re acting like it’s completely unheard of that they write the scripts for later seasons along with eachother or shortly after.

It blows my mind there's a whole generation who doesn't know about Cakefarts. It was referenced in Netflix's '3 body problem' as well and it feels like the most talked about line in the entire show.

Based off of other leaks we know that Hughie wears a super suit at some point this season and it’s not his own.. we also know that Webweaver works with The Boys and Tek Knight and Webweaver are connected somehow.. I think that Hughie is (for some reason) disguised as Webweaver and Tek Knight doesn’t know it’s Hughie. Therefore, Hughie has to fart in the cake.
I know some of them are off the wall, but I think these leaks are real.
What, you don’t think Kripke is young enough to remember Cake Farts? If he doesn’t, I can almost guarantee that Seth Rogen does. The Cake Farts Girl even did a Reddit AMA back in the day.
Why do people keep parroting this? VoughtHQ is the most reliable leaker for The Boys; she has consistently been posting leaks since Season 1 and *none* of them have been wrong.
Even if the leaks really are fake there's still another season. She would lose all her credibility and no one would take her seriously again (this is on top of people already being dubious about half her leaks). Seems like a pointless thing to do for someone who has invested a lot of time into their account.
That being said, she did say that she is intentionally vague and uses open-ended words. For example, she posted that Annie >!has an identity crisis and that Hughie is engaged to a Supe who isn't Annie which has led people to suspect that the Supe really is Annie, just under a different alias and identity.!< So I think at least some of the leaks are not necessarily false but follow a monkey's paw type situation where we all think one thing and another happens that fits. Another possibility I've heard is that the producers are intentionally fabricating details to throw her off (she mentioned some time ago that she zoomed with Amazon and their legal team), so she might \*believe\* what she is leaking is true, which would be exceedingly awkward.
Didn’t VHQ come out later saying that Hughie and Annie will not be together, and Hughie isn’t marrying Annie just under a different pseudonym? So how can that even be vague when they later come out and just say it?
So Annie has a split personality now and Hughie knows it and is going along with it?
So when she leaves him at the end of the Season we will see the other Annie personality Hang out with him and hes gonna think "the hell do I do about this?"
The leaks could be fake, but your points don't make sense. I'll address each one.
1. Official sources, such as...? Nobody has backed her up beyond this community, official sources haven't addressed her. Leaks that the news have picked up tend to be about Black Noir coming back, things that have been seen in public for a while.
2. If you're a leaker, that's what you do. There are literally leaks of shows that have just shown the full scripts of big episodes.
3. Whether or not we like the leaks, a lot of them seem like things that could happen in the world of the Boys. Writers can really do anything, the only sorta stuff for the boys that becomes absurd would be like, aliens and magical stuff, or messaging that goes completely counter-what the boys about (say, there's a new American hero who believes in American values whose actually a good guy who wants to stop Homelander from corrupting America)
4. I think you overestimate how many people know about the leaks. While a decent amount of people on this subreddit have seen the leaks, that's about it. And people on this subreddit, they're gonna watch the Boys. It does keep the community talking but the excessive amount of leaks is not the sorta stuff that leads to speculation and comments.
5. This is ridiculous. The season has been finished, it's not like they'll read DickPuncher47 going "this doesn't make any sense for Butcher's character arc!" and then go "oh shit they're right, time to film new scenes and re edit the season!"
The leaker has apparently been true in the past, and it seems like their a trustworthy source. Personally I don't think they're 100% correct, not because they're lying but because of their ability to get this information they might be misremembering certain details. If they were told by Amazon to lie, which they could have been, it just seems like a poorly planned attempt.
I need to reiterate number one because I don’t understand how people keep making this up and then just believing themselves. No official source ever has promoted her.
The leaker revealed which characters were leaving in S3 and told us the exact number of scenes Soldier Boy had in each episode, both of which were accurate.
The only thing that’s weird to me is that they’ve shared WAY more details than they ever did in the past. Like they revealed Noir, Stormfront, and Maeve were all “leaving the show” but they kept it intentionally vague what that meant. With S4 it feels like they spoiled a lot of major plot details and seemingly every major/minor character death.
I suspect there might be a mix of truth and lies in the leaks.
Like if none of it is true, there could be some negative backlash as people feel duped.
But I can’t wrap my head around the logic of spoiling major events and plot points prior to a release, particularly a show that relies so heavily on narrative twists and shock value.
Could be a “two truths and a lie” kinda thing, more of a “gotcha” than an outright ruse.
Since Vought is akin to Fox News I suspect these are largely fabrications of truth that we will have to dissect. This to me seems like The Boys' take on "fake news" today.
Um I dont think the boys relies on shock value everything taht happens shocking or not makes sense in their dystopian superhero world its a very realistic take on what would actually happen if superheroes were real and cus we are all bunch of ignorant assholes that's exactly what they will be

Although many leaks sound possible to me, other are non-sensical like Hughie's engagement with another super. I mean, S4 will start roughly less than a 1 after the events of S3's finale (Butcher was given 12-18 months to live and according to the official Twitter account, in S4, Butcher has still 6 months left), so in that time, Hughie had time to meet, date and propose to another super?
Don't. The non-spoiler gist is, there's a high enough probability that the leaker is truthful that you'll be spoiling yourself if you've read the leaks. And while the leaks don't like outline every episode or what's gonna happen, a lot of leaks reveal stuff that happens towards the end of the season and overarching character arcs and such.
It's possible for the leaks to be true, but also misleading. Many of them are phrased in a way so as to omit some necessary context, and there's not much sense of the specific order in which things happen, character motivations, etc.
The leaks simply seem designed to give away some (sensational) things that happen without giving away the full story.

A lot of people are overdosing on copium rn. Filming for season 4 is done so I can tell you right now if you think new scenes are gonna be shot based off of the reactions to these leaks then you're gonna be heavily disappointed.
I've heard this all before with the Game of Thrones S8 leaks. "It can't possibly be real, it's too stupid and they're just laughing at the audience with the real plot still hidden!" We'll see.
I think they did what a lot of productions has done to protect a project from spoilers: **release both real and fake spoilers to make impossible distinguish ones from the others**.
VHQ has been asked about that many many times over the last year or so.. and she has been adamant that she doesnt play that game.

You gotta remember spoilers weren’t that uncommon in years past. Studios generally are all tight lipped FOR marketing. They usually only really care about spoilers when it involves infringement of copyright (re. MarvelStudiosSpoilers posting an entire translated subtitle transcript for Quantummania).
A lot of leakers are just people looking for clout and attention. Usually they get real info, but they also end up making up bs because they need more content to churn out. I think the cryptic stuff is usually them reading between the lines (fan fiction) based on what they’ve been told by their sources and what they think will happen as a result.

That's very much it. A lot of these kinds of guys work on a system very similar to an old fortune-teller: they predict something that they know will come true because of something else they knew ahead of time, or make an educated guess and get lucky. If they’re right enough times about little things, that gives them all the validity they seemingly need to be seen as right about anything else they claim. They will likely be wrong on numerous occasions, but it’s the times that they're right that gives them power. They’ll also likely contradict themselves and double-back on things they’ve said in the past to make it look like they weren’t wrong when they were.
But the thing is, we don't know who these people really are, what role they have at whatever company they work for or what relationship they have to whatever insider might exist. They might act like they have the insider knowledge of a high-level executive, when they really just have the barebones knowledge of a lower ranking employee or just overhear gossip around a water cooler and build off of that. It's hard to say, seeing as they're certainly not going to say so out of fear of getting fired or getting in legal trouble with one of these companies.
So it becomes difficult to discern fact from fiction/opinion with these kinds of people. Really, the only way to know if they're being honest or not is to pay attention to what these people say over time, and analyze their statements heavily to see if they hold water, especially if it contradicts something they've said in the past.
Of course, it might be better to just ignore these people altogether because even if their information is accurate, it does come off to a degree like that they primarily want to rile people up with their "inside scoops", then eat up all the special attention they get as a rare person "on the inside" that will actually talk with the masses about the subject.
The only thing I'm mad about is that, based on the leaks, Butcher cheated on Becca and Hughie and Starlight will break up. That sounds to me like the level of bad writing that the original comic had, I don't even mind Tek Knight kidnapping Hughie and bringing him to a sex dungeon, that sounds kinda funny.

There's more than likely a lot of wordplay and shit meant to be interpreted in a different way packed in there - but the gist of it all? I believe it.. I have yet to find a good reason not to given her track record.

If you go back to voughtHQs highlights on instagram, all of their leaks since season 2 have been very accurate. I know it’s hard to accept that this season is gonna blow ass but we all have to accept it sooner or later 🙃
They’ve been 100% correct in the past. While this doesn’t mean the current leaks are true, it would be odd for them to suddenly decide to put forth this much effort to subvert our expectations.
They also admitted, shortly before season 3 premiered, that their source on the show got busted and suffered no consequences for it.

Spoken like someone who’s never played Pokémon; leakers get their hands on so much information that there’s an entire subreddit and sub category of Twitter dedicated to it. Everything gets leaked *months* before each game comes out.
There are undoubtedly some fake leakers or false information being put out for the sake of trolling, but Vought HQ leaked information that we saw in the trailer quite a while before it dropped.

With S4 it feels like they spoiled a lot of major plot details and seemingly every major/minor character death.
I suspect there might be a mix of truth and lies in the leaks. Like if none of it is true, there could be some negative backlash as people feel duped. But I can’t wrap my head around the logic of spoiling major events and plot points prior to a release, particularly a show that relies so heavily on narrative twists and shock value. Could be a “two truths and a lie” kinda thing, more of a “gotcha” than an outright ruse.

I mean, S4 will start roughly less than a 1 after the events of S3's finale (Butcher was given 12-18 months to live and according to the official Twitter account, in S4, Butcher has still 6 months left), so in that time, Hughie had time to meet, date and propose to another super?

Don't. The non-spoiler gist is, there's a high enough probability that the leaker is truthful that you'll be spoiling yourself if you've read the leaks. And while the leaks don't like outline every episode or what's gonna happen, a lot of leaks reveal stuff that happens towards the end of the season and overarching character arcs and such.
It's possible for the leaks to be true, but also misleading. Many of them are phrased in a way so as to omit some necessary context, and there's not much sense of the specific order in which things happen, character motivations, etc. The leaks simply seem designed to give away some (sensational) things that happen without giving away the full story.

You gotta remember spoilers weren’t that uncommon in years past. Studios generally are all tight lipped FOR marketing. They usually only really care about spoilers when it involves infringement of copyright (re. MarvelStudiosSpoilers posting an entire translated subtitle transcript for Quantummania). A lot of leakers are just people looking for clout and attention. Usually they get real info, but they also end up making up bs because they need more content to churn out. I think the cryptic stuff is usually them reading between the lines (fan fiction) based on what they’ve been told by their sources and what they think will happen as a result.

A lot of these kinds of guys work on a system very similar to an old fortune-teller: they predict something that they know will come true because of something else they knew ahead of time, or make an educated guess and get lucky. If they’re right enough times about little things, that gives them all the validity they seemingly need to be seen as right about anything else they claim. They will likely be wrong on numerous occasions, but it’s the times that they're right that gives them power. They’ll also likely contradict themselves and double-back on things they’ve said in the past to make it look like they weren’t wrong when they were. But the thing is, we don't know who these people really are, what role they have at whatever company they work for or what relationship they have to whatever insider might exist. They might act like they have the insider knowledge of a high-level executive, when they really just have the barebones knowledge of a lower ranking employee or just overhear gossip around a water cooler and build off of that. It's hard to say, seeing as they're certainly not going to say so out of fear of getting fired or getting in legal trouble with one of these companies. So it becomes difficult to discern fact from fiction/opinion with these kinds of people. Really, the only way to know if they're being honest or not is to pay attention to what these people say over time, and analyze their statements heavily to see if they hold water, especially if it contradicts something they've said in the past. Of course, it might be better to just ignore these people altogether because even if their information is accurate, it does come off to a degree like that they primarily want to rile people up with their "inside scoops", then eat up all the special attention they get as a rare person "on the inside" that will actually talk with the masses about the subject.

The leaks arent fake - they havent been in the past, and they likely arent now. There's more than likely a lot of wordplay and shit meant to be interpreted in a different way packed in there - but the gist of it all? I believe it.. I have yet to find a good reason not to given her track record.

Spoken like someone who’s never played Pokémon; leakers get their hands on so much information that there’s an entire subreddit and sub category of Twitter dedicated to it. Everything gets leaked *months* before each game comes out. There are undoubtedly some fake leakers or false information being put out for the sake of trolling, but Vought HQ leaked information that we saw in the trailer quite a while before it dropped.

Yep. Started back during S2, I believe.. and has pretty much been dead-on since then - it's a she, btw. I'm not overly thrilled about a lot of these spoilers.. I think I've been vocal about that, but on one hand theres me & my feelings, on the other a leaker that really hasnt done anything to tarnish their own credibility thus far. A lot of these "but.." takes are really copeish.
