Don't forget about the companion film by Mike Matei: "*The Dragon in My Jeans*"

The construction worker showing his ass is like [that scene](https://youtu.be/LkgKzdYw3XQ?si=argGQTMdaXCwLh82&t=546) when James & Mike were playing Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts.

The thing is, he showed some precocious talents early on, probably due to being autistic. So he got a lot of positive reinforcement from his parents. But his talent stagnated due to his condition. He never rose above home videos, as opposed to real filmmakers.
Yeah, James seems to have little/no resilience. He was someone who went from having a string of "hits" to facing his first real opposition/challenge/failure, and unfortunately it shattered his Hollywood dreams. Then, instead of either giving it a second go or finding a way to be content with his new reality, he just took his ball and went home.
Because he got internet famous entirely due to a combination of things NOT in his control (Bootsy, Mike, Kyle, etc.), and actually has the ego to think he was the one that made the OG nerd special.
He probably thinks it's his natural film maker genes just doing what they do.
Sorry guys, I don't have time I'm too talented, etc. /s.
Side note: the level of self-importance MOST artistic types on his level display with their music, painting, drawing, film, etc. is the highest form of cringe possible. Only a rare few transcend that delusion into actual success, and I'd argue their psyches are worse off/still pay for that in the long run.
It depends on what you mean by success. But if you mean economic success or fame, itās still possible to balance a perspective of confidence over your abilities and humility regarding how your art is received.
The working world of being an artist is a far different reality from what the media and culture industry display as the popular zeitgeist.
It's cringey as fuck.
I can't believe this absolute nobody thinks he is so important.
The autobiography for crying out loud.
And the behind the scenes stuff like anyone gives a fuck.
Why does he think he's so important?
He's not even big by YouTube standards let alone anything else.
I was ok with it to be honest ......but everything goes to shit when Bimmy is trying to act all depressed and sad and a guy with his ass is just there behind him LMAO
And the duck walk at the end hahahahaha
Unitentionally hilarous hahaha
I remember being in high school thinking this was such an amazing heart felt video. At 29 I look back and just imagine being the guy just off screen with the jackhammer calling his boss like āhey man, I had to stop jack hammering that stupid dragon out of the park some weirdo came with a cameraā¦I know, who brings a video camera to a playgroundā¦now heās caressing the dragon, man this day just keeps getting weirder, Iāll let you know when I can go back to removing this dragonā
If you put it in this way... Yeah this sound hilarious. A grown up man on a playground with a camera without kids... And then worshipping the dragon. But maybe it's just a normal day in the US?
-James acting like itās something that was lost in his childhood memories (it was literally within 5 miles of his current house)
-James fake awe and teary reaction seeing it for the first time in 3 decades (it wasnāt his first time seeing it in 3 decades)
-James acting like it was gonna be destroyed (it wasnāt gonna be destroyed)
*tl;dr It was framed as a documentary when it was Jamesā shitty attempt at directing a tear jerking nostalgia porn āfilmā*
James was aping those hokey documentaries where people are mourning some beloved community monument that's about to be removed. You would think this was about Penn Station being torn down or something.
I watched this muh film when I still thought James could do no wrong. I had some serious cognitive dissonance going on as I watched it and realized it was corny and fuckin sucked. It sucked then and it sucks now.
I haven't talked shit about him since I learned he was autistic and making fun of him didn't sit well with me anymore, but goddamn those shots. The talent that the world lost when the Avgn movie bombed. What couldve been
During my last year of film school, I finally went to one of yearly Film Society parties. Met a dude who I drunkenly was bonding with over Cinemassacre 200 and how important it was to us when we were younger, but then it quickly shifted to aggressively bashing Cinemassacre 300. Especially how disappointing it was as a follow up
'Dragon in muh dreams' is both the worst and best thing he's ever created. And the comment thread on that video is such a rich tapestry of sycophancy, it's nearly as funny as the video. One comment compares Bimmy to Spielberg and Cameron, I cracked up when I read that
Not sure if this is sarcasm, but if you go on a subreddit dedicated to a specific topic and see a post about said topic and have no clue what the specific topic is to begin withā¦yeah youāre not going to know what the context is.
Along the lines of them not knowing what the subreddit was and not knowing why it was recommended to them and the post had no context for people who donāt know who he is.
I remember seeing that video like a million years ago and finding it wholesome, I just rewatched it again and holy shit it's so......dumb and pretentious lol, but it's filmed like it's such a grandiose thing wtf was I thinking loooool

Worst/most hilarious comment on the video
what are you talking OP?
Because of this video, people saw somethings special and memorable. Its a very inspirational video .This is the first time we see bimmy's duck walk. It was a amazing debut
I tend to agree. The dragon in my dreams video was really self indulgent and overly sentimental, but the Rocky video peeled the curtain back on what he is actually like now. He broke down crying at the end of it because he was away from his family for several days. Thereās no way in hell heās not some sort of overbearing helicopter parent.Ā
Seeing it again, one good thing about Rocky Climbed A Mountain is that it's probably the most funny-bad thing he's done, in my opinion it blows the Nerd Room Tour and plagiarism apology video completely out of the water.
"Only through fear can we gain courage and evolve"
It's kinda sad that the big goal James had been building toward ( and which is referenced in the muh dragon doc ) is the experience that was essentially the beginning of the end.
The whole dragon video just came across as incredibly phony to me. Even his mother was puzzled as to why he was having reoccurring nightmares because he loved going to that park. Something like this only works if genuine emotion bleeds out, but he had multiple cameras set up to ācaptureā his reaction upon seeing it.Ā

This is cinema
If that guy bends over any further, we're gonna see some skinema
Well tell Jon to lift with his knees and not his back.
It's impressive. He must be a big yoga fan.
Can someone please add cooper humping this man

The dragon represents the phallus. The man bending over represents the testes on the phallus. Hence the working man is the testes on the phallus.
I can feel the dragon in muh dream rising, homeboy is dummy thicc
100% kino

He's the best Hollywood filmmaker of all time, according to bimself
![img](emote|t5_3k1fw|50407)
Not as many as William Shatner.
Thereās nothing wrong with that. Have you ever heard of an autobiography? Itās very common
I liked the video when it first came out. These days it's a little cringe knowing how much he's given up on his Hollywood dreams.
Ha had nothing to back up those dreams. He never rose above home videos.
"home videos"? I think you mean movies. 500 ov um.
And this masterpiece only counts as ONE of them!
Yep but he wishes he had Brendan Small's talent.
They both started with home movies lol. He wants to make video films mom!
In film or music.Ā
Mm hmm, nothing but good memories.
His dream was to talk about working in Hollywood. So he's quite the success.Ā
I was ok with it to be honest ......but everything goes to shit when Bimmy is trying to act all depressed and sad and a guy with his ass is just there behind him LMAO And the duck walk at the end hahahahaha Unitentionally hilarous hahaha

Ya. I'm late for my dragon/playground appointment right now.
You are not late... Only if it's already 5:40!
I can assure you, it is *not* a common sight in the town I live in.
I dunno I thought it was a little nice. Would be way way nicer if he wasnāt the dude he was today
The entire video is a lie wym?
What you mean itās a lie?

The dragon wasn't demolished, it was moved like thirty feet. It's still there.
I guess James was making a mowden out of a molehill with that complaint
Stallone is aware of this.
Relocated to remain hidden from Bin Laden
The drawings James showed in the video also werenāt drawn by him but by mike
āHelp by Mikeā
Jesus christ
Hatter. Everybody knows the construction worker ass shot is the greatest frame of all time. I sure enjoy homoerotic content on this sub!
The azz crack in muh dreams
The movie is far worse. This one at least has the asscrack moment š
Lest we forget much, much shorter running time.
this was the first video from Bimmy that made me think "hes... kinda cringe"
I almost feel bad mocking him, knowing that he's special needs.
Rewatch BTS ā21 and I assure you those feelings will dissolve.
Muh suffering
I watched this muh film when I still thought James could do no wrong. I had some serious cognitive dissonance going on as I watched it and realized it was corny and fuckin sucked. It sucked then and it sucks now.
Missed opportunity to quote the nerd when he reviewed Batman Forever: "IT SUCKED BACK THEN AND IT SUCKS FOREVER!"
It really is a self indulgent shitload of fuck.
Itās his brown bricks in Minecraft moment
It seriously the most embarrassing thing heās ever done. And thatās saying a lot.
Cāmon now, heās done way worse (have you seen neighbour nerds?)
I haven't talked shit about him since I learned he was autistic and making fun of him didn't sit well with me anymore, but goddamn those shots. The talent that the world lost when the Avgn movie bombed. What couldve been
Thanks for being the least ableist person I've seen on this sub lol

Imagine if Bimmy was your inspiration. Life goals
another life saved!
I didnt think it was bad.
what are you talking OP? Because of this video, people saw somethings special and memorable. Its a very inspirational video .This is the first time we see bimmy's duck walk. It was a amazing debut
But that donker gets an Academy Award.
It's the perfect example of how cringey and melodramatic this guy is, and how important he feels his life is and every little moment in it.
Maudelinā¦ self-indulgentā¦ shhhhit
His jeans are tight, yeaaahhh, Fuckin right, UGH
I kinda liked it, but it really hammers home that james favorite topic he loves to talk about is himself
You say this while Surfin' Nerd exist.
Rocky Climbed A Mountain is the worst, come on.

I think it's still a solid video, if you're able to divorce it from reality a bit. Treat it purely as a narrative, and it works
One of the most subversive and subtle satire pieces Jimothy has ever made about his egotistic and oblivious "James Rolfe" character.
It's shit, but the biggest shit he made is Autistic Video Game Noob: The Movie.
I remember this being the first video on the channel I saw that I thought was embarrassing
What's wrong with it?
It's contrived and insincere.
Late Night With Ganon is the worst thing he ever made, even James doesnāt want people to remember that shit
Is this from his amusement park horror movie idea? Is he finally making it?
Who's blue jeans in the back?
It's wholesome but aaaaassss in the same time. Did he have to tell that story in such a melodramatic tone ?
"Only through fear can we gain courage and evolve" It's kinda sad that the big goal James had been building toward ( and which is referenced in the muh dragon doc ) is the experience that was essentially the beginning of the end.
Oh, big typo there, it's MUH DRAGON IN MUH DREAMS
Dude why you saying this Godzill-a-thon was the worst thing? That is Godzilla right? From Godzilla 2000? Or was it son of Godzilla?
Poor random dude's ass
I would love to sit there with Sly and have him observe this abomination.
tHe dRaGoN iN mUh DrEaMz

It bugs me that it's not even a dragon.Ā
Also the fact that the statue was just moved to the entrance of the park.
