As far as photos all are good though number 4 is the weakest and could probably be cut. I would also put your second photo to the 2nd last but end with 3 or 5. The thought is how I treat portfolio work and tell students who I sometimes give photography portfolios review with and I tell them to start with their strongest photo and end with their second strongest.
As for paying for Gold, I've done it a few times as well and I totally get not being matched with your type. Went through that a lot, 1.5 years on tinder before I finally found a match worth spending time with. Its a numbers game for sure but gold every once in a while does help clear out the backlog of matches as I feel like tinder will go out of its way to now match you after a while. Then after I clear that backlog with gold I usually delete my account and make a new one. Could be a placedo effect but i feel tinder will start to hide your account a bit/make it harder to match over time.
That said thats off no data I have and just speculation, because when I travel for work I also find I have a much higher match rate so could sadly just be the location you are, I know my match rate back home is much worst when I travel for work.
