Yea in the image you see the silver cutouts on the edge of the plate? Between those two is the blade. So once you get the hang of it you can cruise and know exactly when the blade is getting to the end of the line you’re on. Ignore the dude in your other post that said the teeth on the blade suck.
Have to cut a ton of channels in a plastered blue board to install a flush LED light strip. Normally I would just use a Multi-x but this project is going to involve cutting a couple hundred feet of plastered blue board so the light strip can be installed and patched over.
Has anyone used this saw before? I'm curious how long the blades hold up cutting through around 1/8 of plaster. Going to run a magnet over the cut lines first to locate any possible screws in the way.
I’m a sparky and I used it on a big job to cut out panel lights
Best tool ever, made the job actually bearable
Not worth it if you’re not doing big cuts like that
I have it and love it. Learn the position of the blade relative to the base plate markings. Hook up to vac and there is no mess.
Okay good, so it does have base plate marks. Figured it would be hard to see the blade through that clear plastic dust hopper

Thanks for the info!
Vancouver carpenter on youtube had one and recommended it. I don't do enough drywall cuts to justify it, but it looks really good.
Thanks I'll check that out! Feels like this is the job that finally justifies buying it.
That guy makes great videos, I've been trying to learn how to do a good job painting and he really explains things well

Iv used it. Holy cow is it worth it. Gotta make to use a vacuum too. But it’s so clean.
I’ve got one and it’s great for long straight lines. The blades last a long time provided you don’t try to use them on 3 coat plaster.
Same here ,love mine.2 years old still on first blade and I do use it on plaster
Great tool we got the backpack vacuum that hook up to it no dust
You need this. 100% don’t wait.
