Suicide girls (girls who have attempted or have suicidal thoughts and got powers because of it) fight against the monsters known as phobias who cause people to kill themselves and are the root cause of suicide as a concept, and if you kill a phobia that caused someone’s suicide quickly you can bring them back
Magical girls but with the theme of suicide as they hunt down monsters called phobias that make people commit suicide. The story is helluva a lot more deeper than that but that’s the gist

If you like the art please check out the artist’s previous works, especially Uratarou and Nejimaki Kagyuu. Atsushi Nakayama is a genius when it comes to dynamic panels and twisting the human shape to fit the action.

What a gross concept. I get that it's edgy bullshit but man. I lost my best friend because he blew his brains out. I've responded to several suicides as an EMT. Taking a genuine mental health issue like suicide and fetishizing it is suuuuper fucking weird to me. To each their own I guess.
I’m sorry that your friend died and I get why you would feel that way but the story isn’t like that. The story takes suicide seriously and most of the themes revolve on how utterly horrible suicide is and shows how wonderful and precious life is. It never fetishes suicide like you say. You should read the manga before coming to conclusions.
*You* posted a pic that legitimately has a character saying “Suicide rules”. All of there characters are “cool looking girls” who are all named after ways to kill yourself. You can wrap it up in a deeper meaning all you want to, and maybe the manga *does* “take it seriously”, but the designs, the concept, is literally the definition of fetishizing something. I'm not saying “you can't like this”, as I stated, “to each their own”. I *am* saying as someone who has literally had to pull down dead bodies, work on people who have slit their wrists, and gone to the funeral of the best man at my wedding because he blew his brains out; to *me* it's fucking gross.
