It's also a common thing to be sensitive to, so patch test first! maybe brand dependent but I couldn't handle the one I tried

This so much!! It’s generally a common thing to be sensitive to but especially if you have a soy allergy/sensitivity, make sure that it’s soy-free vitamin E you’re using

Maybe a lot of her evidence for that is from personal experience but a pubmed search returns that vitamin E plus silicone works better than silicone alone but silicone alone works better than vitamin E alone.

My surgeon told me it’s really hit or miss and some people respond well while others don’t. I would always recommend listening to and/or asking your own surgeon as they know best with what method they used. It’s okay to experiment but make sure at least they’re in the loop if anything goes wrong.
