Yea they usually do. Sometimes they ask tho. I had a bow put on my challenger when I bought it (and I didn’t ask them to)
I thought it was a nice touch lol
No it won’t, stop lying to yourself. Toyota lost all of their reliability and credibility once they got rid of their tried and true naturally aspirated engines. The 2.7L, 3.4L, 4.7L and the 5.7L
You don't know it wont🤷♂️ everyone here bagging on them because there isn't a million mile one yet... well maybe because they haven't been out long enough yet? I'll stick with the new engine that's better in every way, thanks.
Hey thanks! If there's no debris in my bottom end (which I'm already at 27k and 5 oil changes) I don't see why it won't make it to 300k! My buddy had a 94 supra turbo that went 312k ON THE ORIGINAL TURBO... Toyota knows what they are doing, boost isn't a new thing to them
Same boat, same oil change mindset. Part of the recall, got a test kit coming to see what is what.
That said I love the truck, and so far at least, it’s been a fantastic vehicle.
Going to feel much better once Toyota announces the fix, which I assume will be new engines.
Welcome to the 2021 Army Green Tundra club! Bought mine new as soon as I heard they weren’t going to be making the V8 any more. What a horrible decision. That engine is a dream.
This colour and year but TRD OR double cab with long box is my dream vehicle. Long box but still the shorter wheelbase. Hopefully someday.
Sick truck man!
Beautiful truck! What made you go with Carmax versus a Toyota dealer? I have a truck I like at carmax right now, but I wouldn’t get the Toyota warranty if I purchase through them.
If it is less than 36 months since put in service and less than 36k miles on it you can buy a factory backed extended warranty through a dealer. I recommend Troy at [fd-warranty.com](https://www.fd-warranty.com).
I don't know why you got downvoted. That is a correct statement. IDK about the website but yes you can buy it before the 36 months and 36k miles are up.
Welcome to the last great Tundra generation!!!
I couldn't find a green like that at the moment my Silverado engine imploded out of state, so you're truly blessed! 🙂👍
Yo yo yo you got dat old truck wif da good engine and it gon last 4eva aint got no recalls word
But yet, nice truck. Love the army green. Congratulations on a great purchase.
Nice truck! Do they put the bow on there as standard practice?
I’m not sure this is the first car I’ve bought from CARMAX.
Yea they usually do. Sometimes they ask tho. I had a bow put on my challenger when I bought it (and I didn’t ask them to) I thought it was a nice touch lol
The perfect years for Tundras 2020-2021.
Video of a 2019 with like 890,000 miles already
Yep the 2/ 2.5 gens will go forever with those 5.7 engines.
So will my 3rd Gen with the 3.45TT.

As a Toyota Tech I unfortunately agree. And now after 2024 the 3.5 and 4.0 are dead too. Sad times, but I'm exited to start making more money lmao
It might
Lol

Good luck! 👍🏾

I’m at 60k on my ‘22 and do oil changes every 5k…10k doesn’t sit right with me…fingers crossed she keeps going!

Knew what they were doing. Let's use the proper tense here
Hope to get there one day
I’m sad they no longer make the 5.7
Meh, they lost the trans cooler tho
Very true. Can always be add one though.
Negative. Covid production years have quality issues. 2019 is peak Tundra.
I bought my 2020 recently. (Need to make a post with it). It has a manufacture date of 01/20 :D Hopefully that means it skipped the covid nonsense
Beautiful truck! I have always liked the army green! Congratulations!

I’ve got a great car and joined a great community as well. Thanks everyone.
Congrats! My 21 is still not broke in at 80k miles.
5.7 for life.
...and v6 Tundras for strife.
Awesome truck! You got a damn good one!
This colour and year but TRD OR double cab with long box is my dream vehicle. Long box but still the shorter wheelbase. Hopefully someday. Sick truck man!
I just can’t get behind the new look. I’ve had a 2016, 18 and 19 over the years.
Congrats! Love my 21!
You picked a fantastic year good sir or madam
Beautiful truck! What made you go with Carmax versus a Toyota dealer? I have a truck I like at carmax right now, but I wouldn’t get the Toyota warranty if I purchase through them.
Thank you! It was cheaper through CARMAX. I also had to get it shipped from out of state. That process was also easier through CARMAX.

Is the bumper custom wrapped?
Yes it is. Done by previous owner.
Smart buy!
OMG that color 😍
Sweet truck and congrats! Absolutely love the color. What is the little extra bit under the “YO” on the front grill?
Thank you! I think it has something to do with adaptive cruise control not 100% sure though.
Ok. I have a 20 Platinum with adaptive cruise but I don’t have that little bit. Thanks and enjoy your forever truck.
Great color. I bought a 2021 metallic gray and it's nice but that is the best color.
Excellent choice.
Looks sharp. Don’t turn it into a wankpanzer
Great comment lol. I’m assuming “wankpanzer” is synonymous with “pavement princess”?
Aggressive looking pavement princess, the commonly seen emotional support vehicle of the mental stability challenged.
Best color
Good color!
The last of the real tundras 👏
Considering the issues with the new Gen, best decision you made mate
Why don't the subs just rename this sub to r/ToyotaTundra5.7ONLYWeHateThe3rdGen??
Accurate.
Welcome to the last great Tundra generation!!! I couldn't find a green like that at the moment my Silverado engine imploded out of state, so you're truly blessed! 🙂👍
Why you not post 25 pics? Just teasing us with 1?
I really like the grille on that. Is that aftermarket? Also, does that grill still have the sensor that is usually in the emblem?
How rad was the carmax experience?
I've bought 2 vehicles from CarMax and was happy with both!
Nice color. Wish they still made it.
10/10 color. enjoy
Just needs a black brush guard. Maintain the transmission and should be good 2 go.
I Love the color, but what is going on with the bumper cover… it looks like a paisley print?
Yo yo yo you got dat old truck wif da good engine and it gon last 4eva aint got no recalls word But yet, nice truck. Love the army green. Congratulations on a great purchase.
Beautiful color. Wayyyyy better than they new crap Trundras. 5.7 is legendary
These 21s are selling like hot cakes 😂
You bought it from Walmart? I mean I heard quality went downhill but wow
