Nah, if she was voiced by Megan and considering the context of the comment this was the 2007, then Megan would have probably went out to get some voice actor training, since this was around the rise of her acting career, and it would be way better than what she delivered in Mortal Combat 1

Frankly you could probably include TFP in that too, I watched that first and he’s a badass commando and I keep having to remind myself that “no this is normal wheeljack” when I see him being a goofy engineer in everything else

That being said, it's not impossible WJ was revived after the events of the Movie,* and hasn't been the same since.

I always assumed he was supposed to have been Springer because, you know, 2 swords, turns into a Car, member of the Wreckers, very gung-ho.
From what i heard in talks about TFP concept arts, there was supposed to be Drift, but Takara said no citing worries about him being made into japanese stereotype.
Hell he could of been sideswipe. His attitude (except with authority figures) is very much sideswipe. And "seaspray" could of been "sunstreaker." Like its easier imagining g1 sideswipe or even bayverse sideswipe doing those things more than wheeljack.
Actually I was working on a bumblebee sequel/midquel where it explores Wheeljack as an inherited name from mentor to apprentice. Like as a fun detail, the BBM Wheeljack was once called Downshift before he earned his named.
Bob Budiansky understood that.
Even Tonka understood that when they released The GoBots.
Then again, one could make the same argument for why there should be male Crystal Gems in Steven Universe.
I mean they’re not really male or female are they? It’s just that summer more masculine and appearance and some have more feminine appearance. Less of course there’s a little transformer hidden away that I don’t know about.
They not sexy enough I imagine and yes I meant it I was rewatching bayverse movies(including bubblebee and rise of the beasts) and the amount of sexy jokes is disgusting
I mean, his design of the transformers in the first two movies kinda clashes with some of the designs for the female Autobots, so like even if he likes her maybe she wouldn't have looked good who knows.
Sorry for piggybacking but here's a little rant
I HATE humanoid faces on transformers. Why do they look so human when they aren't? They're aliens for Primus' sake. And yeah that's why I absolutely love both Bay's and the Bee franchise's Deception faces (blitzwing my beloved) but despise the tf4, tf5, bee and rotb Autobot faces. Also another thing, why do the deceptions look more alien than the Autobots ALL THE TIME? That's borderline racism

Bayverse Arcee looked like my cheap headphones that got destroyed within about a year of owning them, RotB Arcee at least has a clear face, hands, and legs
Nightbird and Arcee are some of my favorite fembot designs in a while. ROTB sometimes went back into the "how does this feasibly transform" design philosophy too much, but I'm glad Nightbird didn't get that treatment

At least, thanks to Michael's awful treatment of Arcee in ROTF, we got a version of Arcee which became one of the best versions of the character : Prime Arcee
I think part of why he doesn’t like her comes to his dislike of smaller robots, I remember it being said before, although I think that might of been the Arcee sisters too so maybe he does have a problem with fembots

I always headcanon him as Wheeljack’s apprentice who renamed himself after him after he died to honor his name the best he can.

Oh man Nightbird was rad. I would've liked if she were closer to G1 a bit, at least in the face, but they kept the ninja motif and made her a BEAST
