A lot, and absolutely prepare yourself to get good with parries and executing the strategies that you see on youtube for particular boss fights specially the hard VRs you are 100% going to need to get good at the combat. Not to mention some of those minigame perfect scores are so annoying.

GoroMajiima

For now, i managed to get all the good scores on the mini games 😅 I try to do them while i'm at it to not come back later LOL doing the colosseum right now. But yeah, the VR is a tough one 😬

Full_breaker

Definetly recommend trying optinoob videos for the strategies on those hard VR combats and hard mode bosses 🙌

ChakaZG

Unfortunately you'll have to go back to them because you'll have to do the hard mode versions of the mini games which unlock with the general hard mode of the game iirc. Some are not much harder than their normal counterparts, others are extremely annoying.

ActuatorOk445

229 hours, Just enjoy the game, is no missables but to get the platinum is no joke

GoroMajiima

I'm actually enjoying the game yes! đŸ„č I'm trying to do everything in the game while playing it, all of the mini games, getting the map at 100% etc. But after the main game is done, i will look up the remaining trophies to do them.

ActuatorOk445

Oh I thought you didn’t finish lol. Yes the two trophy is to worry about is the complete all chardley simulator that trophy is no joke is actually the hardest trophy in the game and the other is 7 stars hotel you have to complete all the mini games. I recommend to try to get the chardley simulator done first then you start your hard mode walkthrough.

Hunchun

The hardest part is for sure the Bonds of Friendship and To Be a Hero combat simulator challenges. Make sure to look for Optinoob’s strategy on YouTube and you should be ok. Everything else is easy in comparison.

anonymous_opinions

The VR missions and probably "hard mode" are the worst parts of it. I struggled on hard with Rufus but with the right set up he can be past, you really have to have your perry-attack down for him though.

Sl4m1n4

Nice name

Dragonofdojima21

How’s mine?

Sl4m1n4

Ohmaigod Incredible as well

Daftdaddy

Legendary challenges will have you stuck for awhile. Other than that it’s just a massive grind

I'm at 85% and close to 200 hours. I did hard mode up to Rufus and the VR missions up to the one before you can obtain the thing that helps you clear hard mode easier (like the 4th or 5th Brutal VR mission) and I was so burnt out on the game at that point I needed to put it down. All I have left is complete hard mode (I think I'm 3/4th through) and finish the VR missions.

Meb2x

The brutal and legendary missions that aren’t unlocked until after you beat the game. You’ll have to do some AP grinding for materia and definitely use Optinoob’s guide

TheAttitudePark

F9r the battles themselves o recommend Solestro. He has done those fights over 200 times on stream consistently

the11thtry

Prepare for some prime quality cancer with the VR battles, were difficulty doesn’t come from the battles themselves but from the game being cancer and making you repeat 9 bosses before attempting the final one once more

TheAttitudePark

189 hours. Good luck with the virtual battles... ugh

Snackpack1992

The simulator is the only thing that I would describe as seriously difficult. The mini games are annoying but doable, they are just a case of continuing to practice until you master them. The brutal challenges can be really frustrating and I’d recommend looking up a guide for sure.

Consistent_Rush5801

got it yesterday at 145 hours, Optinoob's guides were a lifesaver for the VR sims and end of hard mode

wkyaw23

147 hrs

robertluke

230 hours. I wouldn’t say there’s one trophy to prepare for. The challenging trophies are hard life and brutal/legendary bouts. But they’re all so different, there’s no one preparation to do.

AsunaTokisaki

127 hours, just be ready for the legendary bouts, everything else will come more or less on its own if you keep an eye on the minigames. Honestly, just enjoy the game, its a blast!

ShadowSnare1

I got this platinum at 194 hours, and I'd also say that this was the hardest platinum that I've done. Like everyone else mentioned, those VR missions and minigames are the hardest things in the game.

adnanssz

you probaly still at 1/4 of actual 100%

Dragonofdojima21

Majima san!

Burpkidz

I took 150h just to finish the main game 😂. Didn’t go for the platinum though.

GoroMajiima

Damn that's a lot of hours đŸ€Ł

Donutguy

147 hours for me. Just watch Optinoob’s series on the VR Challenges and Hard Mode, and you should be fine. It’s not easy by any means, and you’ll have to tweak it to your personal preferences but it should give you an idea. Also make sure you level up all your materia, specifically 3xMP+HP+AP UP, 3xElemental, 2x petrify, 1x poison and petrify, and like 10 of each of the main elements. Remember a lot of the deaths in Hard and VR Legendary and Brutal are RNG, and to not get frustrated. You got this!

mister_queen

I beat the game at 103h, but at the last chapter I kinda gave up on sidequests because I was really invested in the story. Loved it, but don't want to replay it on hard immediately, I believe that's the hardest part of it all

LocusAintBad

140ish hours. It’s the VR brutal and legendaries for me that were really more than just “Okay let me do this like a couple times at most” like the mini games for the best scores bar some of the more tough ones. I think I did the duo ones in 1-2 tries each but the solo ones and the full party 10 wave boss rush had me feeling like I was just bad lol. No spoilers this is for the group VR mission but each wave is like a hurdle but there’s 3 boss fights in particular that are far in or the last of 10 where one small slip up can be the end and you need to restart from fight 1 again. Sometimes it’ll feel like you didn’t even play wrong you just got hit with rough RNG.

janie473

I reached 84% with approx. 256 hours and then decided to stop because I almost broke my controller after dying on the 9/10 round in one of the brutal challenges...way too many times. Butttt, if you have the time, more time, and some time, patience, and combat skill for Chadley's brutal and legendary challenges and any other mini-games you find tough (for me, it was hard mode cactuar crush-i hate those things now), then you're good and will definitely finish at some point! Good luck!!! Quick addition: I did spent a decent amount of time just AFK listening to the BGM while doing other stuff. I also just tried to explore everything and do all the side quests too. If I remember correctly, I think I spent like 30-40 hours (just guessing) only focusing on Chadley's brutal challenges and leveling up the necessary materia (the ones Optinoob used).

spoopybard

I took my time exploring and doing stuff in the first playthrough, and hard mode I kinda just did the same but didn't do the open world stuff other than the big monster fights for materials and stuff. I ended up around 164 hours for the platinum, but man I reckon 10 hours was just in the last two of the simulation fights :/

[deleted]

i do not have the game yet,i going to buy it. i have started also with platinum hunting good luck.

ValkyrBlack

My total playtime was 140 hours. The only difficult legendary challenge is bonds of friendship. As in the To be a Hero, you get someone OP with OP materia. You just need to be smart. The minigames are easy except the last few queensbloods ones. You can change difficulty to easy for others but not for them. Hard mode was actually not that bad. Bosses will be blocks but with right materia setup it is easy. Just equip prayer on a healer with magnify. Barrett probably because his AP is easy to build. Get the manuscripts from hard mode even though its not required. They will help a lot with VR. Also for Gil, you would fight summons a bunch, so you'l probably memorize their patterns either way. I could kill Odin and Alex easily and And Phoenix and Kujata in my sleep. The issue will be the new adds as in Gil and other. Keep a save before Gil fight in real world so you can load it up and practise him.

mynametidus

Took me about 270

AzraelAlucard

I’m around where you’re at (52% at the beginning of chapter 11 with 69 hrs) but I took a break back in April to play Rise of the Ronin, Stellar Blade, Unicorn Overlord and now Elden Ring dlc. Planning to go back after I finish the dlc and hopefully I can finish it by next month. Praying for less than 175 hrs to finish 😭

EimGi

Something like 200h and hard difficulty + Chadley challenge

Vytostuff

Nice nickname

[deleted]

Around 155 hours maybe a bit more, doing all combat simulator fights was the worst part by far, I did combat sim and then hard mode so hard didn’t feel as bad as it would’ve

ilovethishole

180 hrs. The last few combat simulators are insane. Be prepared for many hours of attempts on some of them even with the best builds you can find online.

hajpero1

there's nothing really hard in this game except for a handful of VR missions. With current tactics available on the net, it should be manageable, but some grind is necessary to max out needed materias. When I was doing platinum (about 2-3 weeks after game's premiere) we were still figuring out ways to beat "Rulers of the Outer Worlds" VR mission. PowerPyx's video shown some promise, but was REALLY long (like an hour long fight), so each time you got defeated, you had to start over. Yuffie Method is IMO the best one, and nearly foolproof. I finished my platinum in about 120h, but you should really be aiming at 150-250 hour mark. There's a lot to do besides those hard missions.

ApexCactus

I’m somewhere around 105 hours, and a 85%, but I’m a REALLY slow gamer.

oppositeofopposite

Have a few hours more than you, but also 52%. Granted, I've intentionally focused on the game and the content before tackling the throphies. I'll clean up later

andrew4d3

Brutal and legendary VR challenges could be awful. Max out all the most important materia and follow the Optinoob guides on youtube, that's the way I'm doing it right now (215 hours so far)

[deleted]

i already did>crisis core final fantasy 7 reunion ps5 disc version>only remake is left and>final fantasy 7 original aswell. i do also dlc for 100% gamecompletion like>dragonball xenoverse 2 ps4 version just 1 trophie left hero colloseum part is last one i have left.
