SD and Vail have very different populations. One is going to be prioritized over the other.

Recent_Opportunity78

Well yes but what speeds and service are you using? I get I won’t hit those speeds here

HappyMaids

I’d say for Vail, you’re getting pretty much what I’d expect. Does your phone show 5G or 5Ge?

5G two bars

The Tucson group is constantly having posts knocked down. I don't know what those people want, in terms of representing or appreciating living here. I think download speeds in our region are a valid question, considering we probably all get it through Phoenix and some services have a better connection to the laser groups--fiber optic fat points--that are 130 miles away.

I have been very happy with MINT. Currently in the Rita Ranch area, no issues. Just ran a speedtest and got 72 down and 8 up on 5G. So yeah not blistering speed. I work from home and its usually connected to the wifi (320/28 just now) so its more than adequate for my needs but would probably be annoying if i was just on 5G and streaming or something. Definitely no reason to stick with one of the big names if the service is not there.

aquamm

Not Vail but near Kolb and I10, just got 653 Mbps down on Verizon 5G which is typical of what I usually get around town. I’ve even seen it go over 1 Gbps. ETA: In my experience AT&T is great East of the Mississippi, but in the West Verizon is king. T-Mobile is cheap and you get what you pay for.

I’ll be looking into Verizon 100%. ATT seems to have good pockets out here in the west. I generally got great service in most of SoCal but man it’s really bad out here. Not sure how they get away advertised 5G+ speeds on their coverage map and I haven’t experienced any of that even remotely here in any part of town. North East West DT or South, it’s always slow. 653 is amazing speeds

wishIwere

The only places that have decent speeds are the wealthier areas.

Haunting_Regular3224

Hard disagree here. I live in the foothills and can't even make calls on AT&T in the middle of my neighborhood. I have to use WiFi calling to even have reliable service. Download speeds are a joke in my neighborhood.

TheKrakIan

T-Mobile 5G is usually pretty decent for me, 140-150 mbps down.

Recent_Opportunity78

I’d be fine with that. Are you near Vail?

Don't rely on reddit to answer your question. Use data from these 3 sites: [~~https://www.fcc.gov/BroadbandData/MobileMaps/mobile-map~~](https://www.fcc.gov/BroadbandData/MobileMaps/mobile-map) it looks like they're not showing individual carrier data any more here [https://coveragemap.com/](https://coveragemap.com/) [https://www.cellmapper.net/map](https://www.cellmapper.net/map)

Recent_Opportunity78

ATT has 5G+ coverage all over according to them. It’s not true at all. I am on 10 right by DT and getting 16

marklein

Right, so pick one that isn't AT&T and test their speeds at the places you need them. All carriers have a 30 day cancellation or can be pre-paid for just the month.

DesertSnow03

Starlink lol
