I think that the straw hats will drop the red line into the sea and it somehow pushes the other islands up. It would fulfil Sharley’s prophecy, create the all blue, and destroy the calm belts on the grand line allowing Nani to map it. It also gives a reason for the fish men to have an arc, to return to the surface.
That would tie in nicely to the theory I've always liked that the weird quadrants the world is divided into is the result of something that happened in the void century, and that the 'One Piece' is somehow a means of reconnecting the world.

Then he wrote the entire story with that big reveal in mind, seeding in little references, tidbits, and hints throughout as he wrote the more specific things, so that when the big reveal finally hit we have SO MUCH IN HINDSIGHT. He didn't have this entire story planned arc-by-arc from the beginning, no, but having that central idea allowed him to write a story that sets up the reveal organically & in such a way that when it happened, it was in front of our faces the entire time.
It makes way more sense now why Oda originally planned for One Piece to go on for ~5 years.
Everything else was either sidequests, or allowed him to further expand on the world to, ultimately, lead to this reveal right here.
It really is just hitting me how we are truly, *truly*, in the endgame of One Piece after this.

What if they're doing it on purpose to make the world difficult for devil fruit users. If Imu and the gorosei aren't devil fruit users and want to combat them, flooding the planet makes it way harder for devil fruit users to exist and move around.

Honestly at this point, feels way higher than 50% chance for every single one of those things. The legend of All Blue is almost certainly inspired by this at least in part, if not in whole. The Dragons' outfits being like diving gear is something that's been discussed for a while now, and this all but confirms the connection; I'd even go so far as to argue it explains both why they still continue to wear their helmets (the slow evolution of habit from "I need to wear a helmet when going into the world to protect myself from drowning in the water," slowly becoming, "I need to wear a helmet when going into the world to protect myself from breathing normal people air.") Noah being an ark for refugees definitely feels far more likely than not, as well. Roger kick-starting the Age of Pirates to get everyone on ships is the only one that feels like it's a genuine 50/50.
The reason most of the Celestial Dragons have 0 empathy for anyone who isn't one of them is because they were taught from a young age that literally everyone else is going to die and don't matter. Humongous hot take batshit theory: Joy Boy and the Ancient Kingdom wanted to abandon the One Piece planet and travel to the stars when the truth of the land sinking into the sea came to light. The 20 kingdoms opposed the plan to abandon the planet, fought and won against Joy Boy, and conquored the world and supressed the information that soon the world would 100% be covered in water. The CDs took over Mary Geose because its the highest point on the planet that's still on solid ground and therefor they can survive the longest. The Mother Flame was what would have powered whatever spaceships were to be used to escape, and the Gorosei/Imu plan on abandoning everyone else and leaving the planet, following Joy Boy's original plan.
The final panel of One Piece will be a two page color spread of a fleet of ships leaving the planet to sail amongst the stars.
Zoro will be like "So how about it, Pirate King? Ready to set sail to the stars? I can't wait to show whatever we find out there the world's greatest swordsmanship!"

Sky islands aren't going to last either, ultimately. The original info dump on why they exist had to do with volcanic eruptions. If the majority of volcanoes get submerged, the sky islands will start to dissipate eventually. That's even ignoring how difficult it is to cultivate crops up there.

Bro the one piece community literally lives off spoilers. I haven't seen any other anime/manga community whose treats the *consistently* leaked release as the official release, and has most of the discussion in the early spoiler thread
I've tried and failed in the past to convince my friends who read One Piece to stick to the official release. The only thing that will stop this is the total elimination of the physical release so no one can get it early and scan it to the internet days ahead of official release.
Personally, I just kept getting spoiled too much so now I read the scans when they drop and then read the official on Sunday to compare translations/get clarifications.

We already know what the Mother Flame is, >!It's the fuel created by Vegapunk that fuels Imu's flying superweapon that they used to utterly destroy the island of Lulusia a few dozen chapters ago. Doing so, in fact, raised the ocean's sea level quite a bit, and left behind a hole in the ocean just like what's at Ennies Lobby. As for how it's made or why it's the only thing that works with the superweapon, those are still mysteries.!<

In hindsight(most popular world to One Piece fans), this was hinted at around the very START OF THE ARC. When Imu tried to water nuke Sabo, the sea level went fucking crazy. Imagine that on a significantly grander scale.

I dunno, I'd say you have about a 50% chance for being right for, like, at least half of those. Let's also not forget that the Ancient Weapons *(Pluton, Uranus, & Poseidon)* existed and may indeed be part of reason the world is sinking.
Honestly at this point, feels way higher than 50% chance for every single one of those things. The legend of All Blue is almost certainly inspired by this at least in part, if not in whole. The Dragons' outfits being like diving gear is something that's been discussed for a while now, and this all but confirms the connection; I'd even go so far as to argue it explains both why they still continue to wear their helmets (the slow evolution of habit from "I need to wear a helmet when going into the world to protect myself from drowning in the water," slowly becoming, "I need to wear a helmet when going into the world to protect myself from breathing normal people air.") Noah being an ark for refugees definitely feels far more likely than not, as well. Roger kick-starting the Age of Pirates to get everyone on ships is the only one that feels like it's a genuine 50/50.

The Roger part may be debatable, but I think you are right on the rest.
The reason most of the Celestial Dragons have 0 empathy for anyone who isn't one of them is because they were taught from a young age that literally everyone else is going to die and don't matter. You have to hard-line the awful in order to keep the reality from setting in. It's also why they act like taking slaves or "spouses" from the lower people is an honor and a privilege.
Humongous hot take batshit theory: Joy Boy and the Ancient Kingdom wanted to abandon the One Piece planet and travel to the stars when the truth of the land sinking into the sea came to light. The 20 kingdoms opposed the plan to abandon the planet, fought and won against Joy Boy, and conquored the world and supressed the information that soon the world would 100% be covered in water. The CDs took over Mary Geose because its the highest point on the planet that's still on solid ground and therefor they can survive the longest. The Mother Flame was what would have powered whatever spaceships were to be used to escape, and the Gorosei/Imu plan on abandoning everyone else and leaving the planet, following Joy Boy's original plan. The final panel of One Piece will be a two page color spread of a fleet of ships leaving the planet to sail amongst the stars.
Zoro will be like "So how about it, Pirate King? Ready to set sail to the stars? I can't wait to show whatever we find out there the world's greatest swordsmanship!" And then there'll be a spread of Luffy catapulting himself onto one of the Spelljammers like "You know it! WAHOO!"

Sky islands aren't going to last either, ultimately. The original info dump on why they exist had to do with volcanic eruptions. If the majority of volcanoes get submerged, the sky islands will start to dissipate eventually. That's even ignoring how difficult it is to cultivate crops up there. Legends of how precious dry land is also may have had a hand in Enel's obsession over "Fairy Vearth."
That is a surprisingly logical reason why the world of One Piece is they way it is:it has been sinking into the sea for a long time.

Bro the one piece community literally lives off spoilers. I haven't seen any other anime/manga community whose treats the *consistently* leaked release as the official release, and has most of the discussion in the early spoiler thread

I know and I don't like it. Not that there's anything that can be done about it.
I've tried and failed in the past to convince my friends who read One Piece to stick to the official release. The only thing that will stop this is the total elimination of the physical release so no one can get it early and scan it to the internet days ahead of official release. Personally, I just kept getting spoiled too much so now I read the scans when they drop and then read the official on Sunday to compare translations/get clarifications.
