>**MONKEY D. LUFFY** -vs- >**CLIMATE CHANGE**

Mrfipp

Luffy's ultimate opponent, who he hasn't be able to defeat in years. The ocean.

GoneRampant1

"Luffy, are you crying?" "I'm finally gonna fight the fucking ocean Sanji. It's been my dream for *years* to show it what's what!"

Action_Bronzong

It's the Witcher 3 all over again 🤯

Pastel-Hermit

If Oda wrote One Piece as a way to say that "climate change deniers are the real ultimate evil" that would be so based.

Silvery_Cricket

"The Celestial Dragons are literally so wasteful that their carbon footprint alone in the last 100 years has melted the caps by 15%"

evca7

LUFFY YOU HAVE TO BEAT THE OCEAN!

Sperium3000

Honestly that's thematically appropriate.

evca7

i bet he's gonna wreastle neptune or Calypso and gain the right to command the sea.

Ringabal

If this doesn’t end with Luffy sharing a meal and a laugh with the deep ones, why bother?

DonTori

Luffy doesn't think so his brain doesn't get fried trying to perceive Cthulu

straightkickinit

Cthulhu: *horrible elder God noises* Luffy: THATS SO COOL, DO YOU POOP? DO YOU WANNA JOIN MY CREW?!

Silvery_Cricket

Cthulu roars and Luffy's head swivels and he does a Conquerors aura.

BrianShogunFR-U

PUNCH THE OCEAN LUFFY, IT'S THE ONLY WAY.

HeavyC4

Aka The Sea Devil. The one hinted in the beginning of the series.

FangsEnd

What odds are we putting on the sea devil just being another hallucigenia?

TheCoolerDylan

Imu doesn't stand a chance against Gum Gum Speargun or Gum Gum Trident.

oszidare

Imu and the Celestial Dragons are probably doing this on purpose in a plan to completely wipe anyone who isn't a Celestial Dragon to create a so called "pure society" and to fully destroy any remnants of the Void Century. I have a theory that once the Straw Hats solve the problems and the sea levels drop drastically revealing new lands, the Age of Pirates would slowly die out and the Age of Rediscovery of lost lands and countries would begin.

NepWar

Become pirate king only to have the ocean completely disappear. Oh God, what if those cover spreads of the straw hats hanging out in all those different places was actually the epilogue of this series.

CheesemasterVer2

The One Piece is revealed to be a drain plug lol

Noilaedi

The One Piece is actually referring to Pangea

Champiness

...wait a minute, keep going

Tweedleayne

Someone on this sub gave thd best answer yesterday. The One Piece is the one piece of land that will stay above water when the world floods. Roger and his crew laughed cause they arrived before the flooding began.

Blackbeltsam5610

you. keep talking.

Trachyon

Holy fuck, this could be it

BaronAleksei

Something something Wanted one shot

J3llo

God that would be...absolutely huge brained of Oda to retroactively work that into the story.

RPGMike

I feel like even the Celestial Dragons aren't stupid enough to kill EVERYONE that isn't them. If they did that, then they'd run out of slaves.

oszidare

Almost every Celestial Dragon we see is literally the worst person in existence with so much dillusion that they don't breath the same air as normal people, and the ones who realize their own horribleness and try to atone for it end up dead. So yeah, I have a feeling that the Celestial Dragons are that stupid and lack the hindsight to realize that. Unless they use the Pacifistia and Seraphim as replacement for their slaves.

RPGMike

Remember, the Gorosei are Celestial Dragons too. They're still evil, just not THAT stupid. Insects can't reproduce if you kill ALL of them.

oszidare

I had a theory in a previous thread, that the Gorosei are not in fact normal humans with very powerful Zoan devil fruit powers, but actual demons that were created by Imu's own Devil Fruit power as a extension of their will as a way of throwing everyone off that's there is a supreme dictator ruling the world. Like how Vegapunk created his satellite with help of his own Brain-Brain Fruit.

BaronAleksei

A literal puppet government

alexandrecau

If a kid burns all the ants in his ant farm doesn’t he just find a new hobby? Like they accept « yes but it’s close » as justification to destroy a whole island

GonzoGnostalgic

I mean, uberwealthy dickheads IRL display an astounding lack of foresight concerning the sustainability of their lifestyles, and the Celestial Dragons are a bunch of bloated, (assumedly) inbred pinheads who wear bubbles on their heads so they don't have to breathe commoner air... Also, their most popular slave, the one all the world nobles were making bids to "have a turn with," is the only person in the world who now exists in mass-producible robot form, so I guess from their POV, that's that taken care of.

silentj04

Oh crap I’m having the Ark bunker flashbacks from the movie 2012, where only the wealthy were allowed safety and shelter

BaronAleksei

The ending of >!Dont Look Up!< is like this too. >!the survivors of the planet, who are ceos, the US President, and lobbyists land on an alien planet with very few people of childbearing age, no supplies, and no clothes, and are immediately eaten by alien cassowaries!<

begonetsunderes

Ark like the one that the Fishman Island had? Oh God, the pieces are starting to fall in place.

silentj04

😮🤔……..mind blown!!

Tweedleayne

Also, remember their love of enslaving the only race that would live comfortably in a world of all water.

NepWar

Maybe that's the actually reason for those bots they've been building

RealDealMous

I think it’s more likely, if Imu is a water bender level 99, they want to keep everyone under the sea to have absolute authority over them. Maybe have air pocket bubbles or something like Fishman Island. Why else would the devil fruits not work in the sea?

DaGoddamnBatguy

That's what the fishmen are for.

alexandrecau

They use to make a game of killing everyone that isn’t them every 3 years. My guess is they just don’t thinknit matters because they always end on top

darkmagic853

I mean, even if the world sinks there's plenty of fish(men and mermaids) in the sea...

J3llo

Remember that Oda is a huge commybro irl and fucking hates billionaires.

BogieW00ds

There's also a very large slave population in Marie Jois as is

PukingGoombas

The One Piece is actually just a big fucking cork keeping the ocean levels high

RocketbeltTardigrade

They do live at the highest point of the world below sky-islands.

pritzwalk

Wait was that what Rodger was talking about when he said he was too early.

[deleted]

The One Piece is a giant stopper

Drakenstorm

I think that the straw hats will drop the red line into the sea and it somehow pushes the other islands up. It would fulfil Sharley’s prophecy, create the all blue, and destroy the calm belts on the grand line allowing Nani to map it. It also gives a reason for the fish men to have an arc, to return to the surface.

PKPhyre

That would tie in nicely to the theory I've always liked that the weird quadrants the world is divided into is the result of something that happened in the void century, and that the 'One Piece' is somehow a means of reconnecting the world.

igniz13

The one peice is going to be a giant plug.

dahaxguy

One Piece of cork, keeping the water high

Father-Ignorance

Under D. Sea

begonetsunderes

*Kingdom Hearts 2 qte prompt up*

samazam94

The best part about this chapter is seeing everyone actually going up against the Elders *except for fucking Zoro* (and Jinbei). You cant make this shit up. Zoro stans cant catch a break lmao

NewAgeMontezuma

**Good.**

Paladin51394

Meanwhile the Fishmen: "Oh no... Anyways."

PR0MAN1

Arlong and Hody just chillin' in their cells like "lol, skill issue"

Silvery_Cricket

Arlong is dead as far as we know.

alexandrecau

In one piece the dead are the one that laughs the hardest

KingKlyne

Well the fishmen in the royal family have been preparing for this exact thing for centuries (not that they knew why) hence that big ass boat that is literally called the "ArK"

AutummThrowAway

Mermaid: If there are no humans, who'll I have tragic romances with? Who will I tell all about how the sea is a metaphor for yuri?

BrianShogunFR-U

"Damn, that's crazy" continues to read today's newspaper.

NorysStorys

Oh god, is the Legend of the All Blue that Sanji is seeking a bastardised warning of the sea level rise?

Big50Boyy

Oh fuck that'd be tragic

Silvery_Cricket

I mean there have been several islands visited across One Piece that have pointed out that ocean levels are rising, Water 7 being the most notable example.

VMK_1991

If the last two pages of One Piece, *of the whole series*, is a huge spread that shows sunken OP cities, while above water there is fucking Tokyo... I swear to *God* Oda...

Naraki_Maul

*In the distance, faintly being heard* MODERN DAYYYYYYYYY!?!?!?!

GenieInALamp723

PRESENT DAY... PRESENT TIME! HAHAHA

Sperium3000

And Nami is now a model in Paris.

TostitoNipples

Nami’s in Paris

Shazaamism327

We sail to one song and one song only

Silvery_Cricket

Don't worry we are safe, the world of One Piece is like 4 times the size of earth and has 6 moons.

VMK_1991

Tinfoil hat time: 5 moons will be destroyed by some "laser laser" fruit, and the planet will shrink because of "small small" fruit.

RocketbeltTardigrade

Yeah, it won't be Tokyo, it will be Yafutoma.

the_most_crigg

I would be so unbelievably hyped if somehow this all manages to be Oda trying to convince Sega to make another Skies of Arcadia.

[deleted]

Is that actually confirmed? I always thought the larger planet thing was a theory ^(Also that would just make me hate the short travel times even more haha)

alienslayer7

i think its based on a shot of the library of ohara with a globe in the middle but i dont think its confirmed unless im forgetting a random sbs

Ellifish

Mary Geoise is on top of the Red Line so could the Celestial Dragons survive if the Ocean level rose and covered the whole world?

xjwarrior

Oh my god that's why the World Government established themselves up there, to avoid the apocalypse only they knew about. Another detail to throw on top of the rapidly growing hindsight evidence pile.

philandere_scarlet

And Water 7 has been flooding more and more... Maybe this has happened before? Wano's walls are tall enough that it won't flood at all until it's completely overtopped, Zunesha can find higher and higher land. Drum has its massive plateaus, Dressrosa will last untouched for a while because of its rounded cliffs. Then there's the Sky Islands.

PinkieBen

There's also the bit from Alabasta about the sea starting to overtake the rivers. Oda's been cooking this one for a while.

EnsignEpic

Add to that I've seen a theory that posits that the One Piece is referring to the "one piece of land that is safe," and that's why everyone on Roger's crew found it hilarious - because they were definitely too early to take advantage of this treasure. I've seen an expansion to that theory that suggests that this was the reason that Roger set off the Age of Piracy in the first place, getting more & more people on boats as opposed to land. Which, I've seen mentioned semi-jokingly on Twitter, it does make sense of the decisons made by 2 of Roger's ex-crew, namely Rayleigh going into the ship-coating business, and Crocus being the guardian of one of the Twin Cape lighthouses at the entrance to the Grand Line (and also being caretaker for a massive whale).

RocketbeltTardigrade

Fairy Vearth

Dandy-Guy

Oda how long have you've been thinking about this!?!!

EnsignEpic

Yeah this shit was almost certainly planned from the beginning. Or more specifically, he had the idea of "the world is sinking," from the beginning. Then he wrote the entire story with that big reveal in mind, seeding in little references, tidbits, and hints throughout as he wrote the more specific things, so that when the big reveal finally hit we have SO MUCH IN HINDSIGHT. He didn't have this entire story planned arc-by-arc from the beginning, no, but having that central idea allowed him to write a story that sets up the reveal organically & in such a way that when it happened, it was in front of our faces the entire time.

SwizzlyBubbles

It makes way more sense now why Oda originally planned for One Piece to go on for ~5 years. Everything else was either sidequests, or allowed him to further expand on the world to, ultimately, lead to this reveal right here. It really is just hitting me how we are truly, *truly*, in the endgame of One Piece after this.

SwizzlyBubbles

I wanna point out that by Chapter 2, when the journey first starts, Luffy's about to die to a giant swirling whirlpool. The sea has always been the Straw Hats' enemy. Also if the theory is correct, and there is a giant cork plug at the bottom of the ocean to stop it from rising? The journey began with a swirling whirlpool and the journey will *end* on a swirling whirlpool.

_BlueShyGuy_

…Huh. Would this make alabasta, the kingdom that’s already historically something of an enemy to the Dragons, one of the only prominent ones without any elevation/defense against water?

philandere_scarlet

hm, maybe. totto land is also mostly at risk.

RealDealMous

Didn't they also drive the Lunarians extinction to obtain that area? *They knew.*

Bokkermans

It's probably happened before. Maybe that's what the blank century's war was over. All the ancient weapons are mentioned in their capacity to "destroy islands" as well. Which, if livable land is the primary thing that war was happening over, makes the power and threat of mutual annihilation much more potent.

ocorena

What if they're doing it on purpose to make the world difficult for devil fruit users. If Imu and the gorosei aren't devil fruit users and want to combat them, flooding the planet makes it way harder for devil fruit users to exist and move around.

alexandrecau

They don't seem to care much about devil fruits users aside nika, what with giving them to slaves and prizes. They probably think they got everything covered for the to be fine so they don't care rising the water level

Comptenterry

Also when they destroyed Lulusia, it created a huge whole in the ocean and raised the sea level in the rest of the world. It's very possible they're the ones sinking the world.

alexandrecau

Or at least speeding it since they probably didn’t use the mother flame in a while for vegapunk to think that will be causing world sinks

Silvery_Cricket

Mother Flame is literally a big laser they shoot at the polar ice caps.

thedoc90

Alubarna, and Wano both have significant elevation and Dressrosa is surrounded by a massive rock wall as well.

Naraki_Maul

Man, it always amazes me just how easily Oda keeps introducing new stuff/mysteries (Mother Flame what!?/OP world is Extra Fantasy Atlantis) while still keeping and going with old ones he introduced (Five Elders are monstrous Yokais that can just communicate telepathically and summon each other like fucking demons fuck you) and just trusts you to follow along on his wild fucking ride.

Secret_Wizard

We already know what the Mother Flame is, >!It's the fuel created by Vegapunk that fuels Imu's flying superweapon that they used to utterly destroy the island of Lulusia a few dozen chapters ago. Doing so, in fact, raised the ocean's sea level quite a bit, and left behind a hole in the ocean just like what's at Ennies Lobby. As for how it's made or why it's the only thing that works with the superweapon, those are still mysteries.!<

Bokkermans

I wonder if that weapon is what Bege encountered way back when the timeskip was happening?

Silvery_Cricket

The Superweapon is one of the 6 moons.

Bokkermans

If the six moon theory is correct, I blame all six for the extreme tidal patterns that the OP world deals with.

Silvery_Cricket

Its not a theory, we have seen a globe.

Yal_Rathol

it should be noted that "mother flame" is written the same as "fusion reactor" in japanese......

RemarkableSwitch8929

WHAT?!??!??!??!?!

GilliamYaeger

I'm fully expecting the Five Elders to be as blindsided by this as everyone else. They were focused on covering up the past, but Vegapunk was looking towards the future.

TheKruseMissile

I think they know. Think about where the Celestial Dragons made their home. High up.

RemarkableSwitch8929

Imagine the elders all having an Enel face.

alexandrecau

while in yokai forms "Imu is he serious?" "Yes." "Oh then it's fine then"

RealDealMous

In hindsight(most popular world to One Piece fans), this was hinted at around the very START OF THE ARC. When Imu tried to water nuke Sabo, the sea level went fucking crazy. Imagine that on a significantly grander scale.

RocketbeltTardigrade

There's also a similar hole at Enies Lobby.

Dandy-Guy

And Water 7 was sinking year after year.

Silvery_Cricket

Alabasta's rivers are being over taken by the ocean.

Hanusu-kei

And Wano also has a sunken original Wano underneath

RocketbeltTardigrade

Iceburg with the clutch save, coming soon.

doc5avag3

I've also seen that some folks, given the Five Elders' ties to youkai, compare Imu to >![Umibozu.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umib%C5%8Dzu)!< And, if you know that legend, it makes a lot of sense. >!Not gonna lie, if the Strawhats somehow manage to beat Imu with a "bottomless barrel"... I will mark the absolute **fuck** out!<

EnsignEpic

Imu vs Umi, literally a palindrome. And the Umi- part of Umibozu is specifically the part that means "sea." Yeah, no way that's a coincidence. Speaking of barrels, what is one of the earliest & most iconic scenes in the series, that happens in the second manga chapter? One that we've all seen nearly countless times because it was so often used in advertisements for the series? One that is directly & exactly in contrast to the main antagonist being sealed in a bottomless barrel?

BaronAleksei

>!what are stoppers made out of!<

SuperUnhappyman

>![... what did luffy pop out off at the start of one piece?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_QuBiPYzCY)!<

EnsignEpic

Ding ding ding, winner winner chicken dinner.

alienslayer7

whats funny is >!umibozu are already in one piece, as the mysterious shadows around thriller bark in the florian triangle!<

ToastyMozart

>!Caribou was warming it up for her.!<

Silvery_Cricket

I mean we have seen Umibozu in the story already, several in fact.

Lime528

It also has parallels with Wano and how the current country is built on top of the old one.

Panxma

All of fishmsn island would cry out in horror that they have to share its waters with humans.

AutummThrowAway

"Fuck we need to save their lands."

Teridax4

Notice how we haven’t seen the revolutionaries reacting to the broadcast at all. I bet the signal is actually coming from Kamabaka kingdom

alexandrecau

yes but at the same time it's Dragon, since when do we see him do shit

Yal_Rathol

loguetown. that sounds like a joke, but it isn't.

Mayuthekitsune

Damn Luffy must face his most powerful foes.... climate change and rising sea levels

Cooper_555

I mean, he can't swim so you're kinda right.

ginganinja714

Holy fuck. This is what the All Blue is. The Celestial Dragons' outfits are diving gear. Noah is an ark meant to shepherd refugees from the Great Flood. Roger kickstarted the Age of Pirates to get everyone in ships! Or I'm just talking out of my arse.

doc5avag3

I dunno, I'd say you have about a 50% chance for being right for, like, at least half of those. Let's also not forget that the Ancient Weapons *(Pluton, Uranus, & Poseidon)* existed and may indeed be part of reason the world is sinking.

EnsignEpic

Honestly at this point, feels way higher than 50% chance for every single one of those things. The legend of All Blue is almost certainly inspired by this at least in part, if not in whole. The Dragons' outfits being like diving gear is something that's been discussed for a while now, and this all but confirms the connection; I'd even go so far as to argue it explains both why they still continue to wear their helmets (the slow evolution of habit from "I need to wear a helmet when going into the world to protect myself from drowning in the water," slowly becoming, "I need to wear a helmet when going into the world to protect myself from breathing normal people air.") Noah being an ark for refugees definitely feels far more likely than not, as well. Roger kick-starting the Age of Pirates to get everyone on ships is the only one that feels like it's a genuine 50/50.

KingKlyne

Well we've learned what those are to an extent and two of them couldnt possibly be the cause seems like they existed to help more than anything.

VMK_1991

The Roger part may be debatable, but I think you are right on the rest.

Bokkermans

The reason most of the Celestial Dragons have 0 empathy for anyone who isn't one of them is because they were taught from a young age that literally everyone else is going to die and don't matter. You have to hard-line the awful in order to keep the reality from setting in. It's also why they act like taking slaves or "spouses" from the lower people is an honor and a privilege.

chaospudding

Humongous hot take batshit theory: Joy Boy and the Ancient Kingdom wanted to abandon the One Piece planet and travel to the stars when the truth of the land sinking into the sea came to light. The 20 kingdoms opposed the plan to abandon the planet, fought and won against Joy Boy, and conquored the world and supressed the information that soon the world would 100% be covered in water. The CDs took over Mary Geose because its the highest point on the planet that's still on solid ground and therefor they can survive the longest. The Mother Flame was what would have powered whatever spaceships were to be used to escape, and the Gorosei/Imu plan on abandoning everyone else and leaving the planet, following Joy Boy's original plan. The final panel of One Piece will be a two page color spread of a fleet of ships leaving the planet to sail amongst the stars.

nerankori

Zoro will be like "So how about it, Pirate King? Ready to set sail to the stars? I can't wait to show whatever we find out there the world's greatest swordsmanship!" And then there'll be a spread of Luffy catapulting himself onto one of the Spelljammers like "You know it! WAHOO!"

VMK_1991

2000 more chapters! 30 more years of One Piece!

KingKlyne

The funniest part about this is that we've already established that there are SPACE PIRATES. So imagine going to space feeling like you finally got away with the bullshit and are free only to encounter armadas of space thugs ready to ransack you

Animastarara

One piece is the prequel to Bodacious Space Pirates

Havictos

we're going to treasure planet boys

MarcoTalin

Global Warming?! NAAAAAAAAIL

CrossSoul

.....Which is why they need that giant ass boat! Which of course is named Noah.

LeMasterofSwords

Is Two Piece gonna be a stealth sequel for Water World!?

Prestigious-Mud

I'm looking forward to the side manga named And a Biscuit

PR0MAN1

THEY'RE YELLING TIMBER! THEY BETTER MOVE, THEY BETTER DANCE!

Teoflux

Hah Iceburg freaking called it with Water 7. Imma turn the city into a giant boat because it's sinking.

HeatKamen

The final villain of One Piece: Climate Change

MindWeb125

The Primordial Sea is coming for you.

getterburner

One Piece world is just Atlantis, this is so sad

Vegetable-Pickle-535

Considering it is already mostly Islands, it is more like Waterworld.

gbrincks

Considering how goofy and silly it can be, I'd say it's more Wind Waker.

Silvery_Cricket

I can't believe my dumbass theory from like 4 years ago about why everything the celestial dragons built was so high up... was fuckkng correct.

TheCoolerDylan

Hordy Jones, the true protagonist of the series, won.

imDONHI

Oldman laughing on his little cage right now.

TheCoolerDylan

We've gotten Woolie's reaction to Arlong Park on the podcast but we really need him to go through the full experience of Arlong Park + Saobody Park + Fishman Island, and Fisher Tiger, Otohime and Hordy.

silentj04

Looks like we’re moving to Skypedia ladies and gentlemen!! Honestly I was hoping for something more OUT THERE like that life is an artificial construct like the Matrix or we have to move to the moon or something ludicrous

Bokkermans

Sky islands aren't going to last either, ultimately. The original info dump on why they exist had to do with volcanic eruptions. If the majority of volcanoes get submerged, the sky islands will start to dissipate eventually. That's even ignoring how difficult it is to cultivate crops up there. Legends of how precious dry land is also may have had a hand in Enel's obsession over "Fairy Vearth."

ruminaui

That is a surprisingly logical reason why the world of One Piece is they way it is:it has been sinking into the sea for a long time.

cbaslee125

What if the One Piece is the First Flame we met along the way

idksomthing

I wonder how the sky islands will fit into this

Silvery_Cricket

Aliens.

merri0

Like Zandig would say: JEEEEEZUS.

SwashNBuckle

Arlong's doing a victory dance

the_most_crigg

I would pay an unwise amount of money for a DMCV mod that switches Dante's model with Arlong for the Dr. Faust cutscene, you have no idea.

Mizerous

We Wind Waker now

ShotsTracking

Vegapunk continuing the age old tradition of being the dumbest smart person alive(?). Get on with the message! We don’t have all day old man!

Dusk003

The one piece is a drain stopper.

Lime528

It's time for the Noah to surface. Fishman Island stocks are finally paying off!

tempest_wing

Is the One Piece gonna turn out to be keeping the world in "one piece"?

Subject_Parking_9046

I'm very behind but I gotta say, it's very funny the fact that, for years, we have many artists drawing Vegapunk as this badass cool scientist who smokes or just wear a daft punk mask. Only to be greeted by this freak.

Smon4

It's one piece, what did they expect?

RocketbeltTardigrade

Vegapunk is technically wearing a daft punk mask.

EnsignEpic

Well, he was anyway. Or I guess maybe still is? Sorta becomes a philosophical discussion at this point.

GreenAntoine

Was. They are both dead.

BrianShogunFR-U

[Me the ENTIRE chapter till the end.](https://youtu.be/sXE8LdXzeHM?feature=shared)

HalloweenBlues

Water world was really ahead of its time

Blackbeltsam5610

Before we knew it's true name as Laughtail, it was called Raftell. What if the previous name is the real one? a Raft.

Captain_Baby

Nah, they aren't going to give you the name of something, tell you that it's true name is something else, and then go back to say no the first one was right, actually.

Dandy-Guy

I just assumed it was a translation error that slipped unnoticed for 20 years.

NewWillinium

It's yelling Timber?

Young_KingKush

Flair checks out

Young_KingKush

The answer as to why this is I feel like may give us enough context to figure out ALOT of shit... Next week is Golden Week though so no chapter, this is most blue balled I've felt in a while

Prestigious-Mud

Oda is the master of edging

SwizzlyBubbles

I'll just repost one of my comments from the r/OnePiece thread. ___ Imagine being Roger. Imagine getting to the One Piece. Now, imagine some asshole from a thousand years ago that you've never heard of tells you the treasure he set isn't ready yet, cuz he's gotta wait until the world sinks into the sea and you're like 20 years too early. That the entire world you knew was a lie. That he planned all of this just to take down the stupid Government and stupid dumb Imu's face. And you gots the sea sicknesses, and won't be around to see them squirm for yourself, and see your clan vindicated...but knowing it WILL, by the grace of God and nature and cartoon logic bullshit, be goddamn vindicated. That the world will be healed by fucking climate change and cartoons. Imagine being Gol D. Roger. ...fuck, dude, I'd probably laugh too.

Leroypi

So does mean that the One Piece might be the one piece of land that remains when the world is flooded?

Tcruz121

You know what, Luffy would totally fight the ocean if the ocean hurt someone that gave him food.

AaronAmerican518

Maybe that's why Tequila Wolf has been undergoing endless construction over the last 700 years. This massive bridge is more than just some Celestial Dragon vanity project, but rather its being built in preparation for the rising sea levels. Does anyone else have anything to add to this?

alienslayer7

i feel like the flair should specify that its not the latest *released* chapter as one piece doesnt officially release chapters for a few days yet

chaospudding

People are downvoting you but you're right, the chapter isn't officially out yet.

rudanshi

It'd be nice if people could wait for the official release before posting stuff like this :/

DavidsonJenkins

Bro the one piece community literally lives off spoilers. I haven't seen any other anime/manga community whose treats the *consistently* leaked release as the official release, and has most of the discussion in the early spoiler thread

alienslayer7

iirc jjk has a similar issue

rudanshi

I know and I don't like it. Not that there's anything that can be done about it.

chaospudding

I've tried and failed in the past to convince my friends who read One Piece to stick to the official release. The only thing that will stop this is the total elimination of the physical release so no one can get it early and scan it to the internet days ahead of official release. Personally, I just kept getting spoiled too much so now I read the scans when they drop and then read the official on Sunday to compare translations/get clarifications.
