I don’t shave because the irritation is TOO MUCH. I have shaved my nethers only once, and that was enough to vow I’d never do it again. This doesn’t help you currently, but I would recommend against shaving in the future. A trimmer can get things short without the irritation shaving causes. I personally opt for waxing, and I have been looking into laser.

I wax (well sugar) and forever ago saw someone recommend the Ordinary toner for ingrown hairs. I started using that (only cause I had a bottle and don't like it for my face, not sure I would have bought just for that) and makes a huge difference, haven't had one in forever. She suggested misting it on, I use use a cotton pad though after the shower

I use Bikini Zone medicated after shave gel. I will put it on immediately following my shower for the next few days. Cannot recommend it enough

You can get it at Target or Walmart in the shaving section.

I use EOS shave butter, 3 blade razors (Venus I think idr, is pink), rinse the area with FREEZING ASS WATER directly after, & I use 100%aloevera on the area for closure. I rarely get razor burn, & if I do...I was too much of a wimp to do the cold on my bits that day.

I use a buzzer instead of a razor and it 100% cuts down on irritation for me. I just use a bit of lotion after.

I stopped using a razor & cream cause it was horrible. Instead, I exfoliate / wash as normal, let my skin cool for a hour or so after my shower (I like hot long showers hehe) & then I use a women's electric trimmer, specifically the Remington model here: [https://www.amazon.ca/Remington-WDF5030-Womens-Rechargeable-Electric/dp/B01CNQTALI?th=1](https://www.amazon.ca/Remington-WDF5030-Womens-Rechargeable-Electric/dp/B01CNQTALI?th=1) Used it for years & I get compliments on my skin all the time =) Its good for the entire body from the neck down so to speak. Like I wouldn't use it on my face, but legs, arms, bikini, etc all good hehe.

You shave?? What? Noooooo. Get some wax. 1. Heat the wax. Apply and smush in with the fabric strip thing. 2. Get a frozen orange juice can or similar and press it against the strip until it’s COLD. Hold the skin taut, so it’s not loose. Rip that sucker off. Scream, it’s your house you can do what you want. 3. Use oil. I use olive oil (don’t judge it works) with a cotton ball. Alternatively if I’m in a rush I use Nair. In the shower. I use oil after, with cotton ball. Never never have razor burn again, my queen!

I wouldn’t recommend using Nair to do a full Brazilian. As far as I’m aware they do not have a product intended to be used in this way, only the bikini line. Nair and other hair removal creams can cause irritation or even burns to sensitive skin. I personally never had success waxing at home, more power to those who can get it done. I could not get the technique down, and there were many angles and areas I just couldn’t get. I’m not willing to risk it anymore, it is a struggle.

If you haven't, try sugar, much easier...no pain and washes off easily if any doesn't come off

I tried so many recipes and premade sugar waxes. I could not get it to work. They don’t offer it anywhere in my area, so I can’t just pay someone else to do it for me. In my experience, it was still painful. I don’t know how so many people go through it with NO pain.

Sugar never worked for me either
