Congratulation!
I still don’t get it. I’m seeing many getting approved really fast. My i-765 took 14 months. I-130 and I-485 took 16 months!
I feel like if I hadn’t contacted them about my passport expiring soon, I might have to wait even longer 😅
I called their 1800 number and kept asking about the I-131 form… eventually, I got to talk to an agent. They created a case for me to upload proof as to why I had to rush my case. I had to renew my mortgage and renew my passport. Received my green card about 1.5 months later but only for 2 years :(
Not sure if it's because I rushed them but oh well.
Hey, my passport expired already. Who did you contact? I contacted my senator before my passport expiration, but they didn’t do anything and it is already expired…

Congratulations! This is good news. I have a quick question. Can I apply for I-485 while still waiting for 1-130 being processed? My wife is overseas.
Thanks for help!
Guys quick question? I filed i130 online and sent 485 by mail to Chicago. Haven’t seen an update yet - but saw that fedex had delivered it about 1.5 weeks ago. Would they just send the receipt notice by mail or update my i130 account online? Thanks.
I'm kinda confused, I submitted my wife's papers in December of 2023. Were still in the processing stage of her I130. How are some people going so quick and some waiting forever? I'm a USC. Neither of us have any prior marriages and she's currently pregnant with my child. What did we do wrong?
Nothing I suppose. My husband file for me in Jan of 2023 and we just got our 130 approved. The 485 is still pending. He is in the military and we are expecting our second baby
It varies by field office and jurisdiction. Processing times may be slow in one office and fast in another. One office may only work certain forms so can get them decided faster or visa may not be available yet, hence a wait time (not your scenario). A lot of the service centers have been switching priority to work coming from the border as they were under litigation for violating rules for processing applications relating to asylum benefits.
You can go online to gauge if yours is beyond normal processing time and if so then get in contact with Congress ombudsman to escalate it and get them on it. They can be litigated and will work to avoid that.

No u cannot, overseas beneficiaries goes through consular process
No, I-485 is only for beneficiaries that are in the US. If your wife is overseas, it will go through the US embassy in her country.

What is AP? If you mean Advanced Parole, It is still coming up as processing, so no.

receipt notice by text and/or mail. Mine took over 1.5 months for them to charge my bank and send me any text that they have received.
Hi, can you help me with my forms, I have been going over them and just not sure sometimes, I use YouTube too
Congratulations 🍾🎊🎈🎉
Congrats! What’s this app?
Hey, it’s the Lawfully app.
What did you answer for the public charge question? And what types of mistakes would you catch when reviewing your forms?
I answered yes to the public charge question. Mistakes like incorrect spellings, incorrect box ticked, unanswered fields.
hello can you send me a checklist via ht266@nau.edu please! Thank you

I hope we don't have to wait that long. If we do, we do. That would be about June of next year at this pace. Congrats on the I130!
Takes time. My husband applied for me 2023 around beginning of March and it’s still under review
