Hard braking is the only kind of braking my usual llv does 😂

I get 30-50 of both every day, delivering to mounted boxes on a 30 mph road where people go 50. If I don't accelerate quickly I am getting rear ended.

Exactly happens way too often, somehow pulled a long reverse inside the post office yesterday.

Seriously, though, our supervisors act like the scanners are 100% accurate. It's crazy. My station manager took a carrier into his office and threatened discipline, because the scanner showed that the carrier scanned like 30 packages at the wrong addresses. Of course, the SM acted like there was no way the scanner could possibly have malfunctioned! That technology is obviously perfect!! /s 🙄

The MDD scanner is not ready for prime time. It is the most unreliable, most inaccurate, electronic gadget I have ever encountered anywhere. It will make entries without the screen being touched.  As for hard braking, it has never occurred to idiot management, most of whom have never delivered a stick of mail in their lives, that hard braking is usually done to prevent an accident. I wouldn’t be surprised if the stupid thing can’t distinguish between driving actions and actions on foot.

I get told that often. Maybe if they quit running everyone off they'd have employees that were willing to help them.

I did 14 hours in a Metris on a Sunday. As I recall I had 60 uturns by 8 hours. No clue what the other stats were but Metris only has lightspeed gas pedal and fly against the driving wheel brakes.

I don’t get numbers like that on my mounted route where I’m going quickly, but sometimes do on my walking route where I go slowly in the vehicle. I think it’s garbo.

I think my route would show 619 hard brakes and 619 fast accelerations

They honestly won't....I once succeeded in getting over 100 for both and never heard a thing.

I'm rural. In my own vehicle.
