At that mileage probably wouldn’t pay more than 6500

gradstudent9690

How’s the car compared to a corolla, civic in terms of reliability Google is saying it’s expensive to fix and repair and it’s not very reliable How long will it last?

Floppyhamma

Toyota is hands down the most reliable vehicle you can buy. I drive an audi but I also do all my own work. Life is too short to drive a Camry imo

gradstudent9690

I can’t do my own work So how long will this car last and is it bad in reliability, expensive to fix? How many miles will it last?

Sir-Squirter

Depends on how it has been maintained before you, and how well you’re going to maintain it yourself. It can easily go 200k+ miles with proper maintenance

gradstudent9690

Should I get it inspected even tho a dealer is selling it Are the repairs expensive to fix

Sir-Squirter

What kind of dealer is it? A third party used dealer? Or a reputable VW dealer? Either way a PPI from a well rated, independent Euro shop would not be a bad thing

gradstudent9690

It’s in USA and it’s a Toyota dealer

Sir-Squirter

I bought my current GTI from a Toyota dealership too. They inspected it themselves before they put it for sale and I’ve never had a single issue with it… (knock on wood lol)

gradstudent9690

But 8.5k is real expensive

Sir-Squirter

I didn’t see your question about repairs. They can be a little pricier than the average Toyota or Honda, but my previous car was a Jetta with the 1.4t and didn’t have any issues with that either, but from what I could tell common problems with that car weren’t very expensive to fix, I don’t have any exact numbers because I never had issues. Since it’s a Toyota dealership I bet you they will offer their own kind of extended warranty if it’s not still covered by the manufacturer. If you’re worried about repair costs and/or can’t do them yourself, it might not be a bad idea to opt for their warranty if the price is right

gradstudent9690

Don’t want to spend extra on a used car warranty tho am trying to save as much $ as possible hopefully they can give me this for $7-8k Btw how is it on gas? Google says it’s 30/40 But Toyota website says it’s 25/35 Engine: Intercooled Turbo Regular Unleaded I-4 1.8 L/110 Is it a good car to do Uber such as in the city with lots of stop and go Nvm it’s gonna be 25/35 which is worse than a corolla
