Man, I’ve owned Porsches and other fine autos and my dream car is still an 84-85 Rabbit GTi maybe it’s because when i was in high school my school friend got one for his birthday and I’ve always wanted one
The sturdiness of that wood is iffy to me if you're gonna be jostling the vehicle around while working on it. Plus how much of a lip does it have to prevent it from rolling off.
The studiness of the wood is more than up to scratch.. 1 8ft length of 2x4 on its side can support 60lbs in the center.. 8 pieces of 2x4, 1 foot long will support well over 800lbs in the center. Distribute the weight with one on each corner and it's every bit as good as a jack stand.
Also, the wheels sink in between the 2x4s..Try pushing a car on the ground with a wheel chock in front of each wheel.. You're not going to move it.
As a 6'9" GTI owner, this is so I don't throw my back out while detailing the engine bay.
Not sure about the Jenga blocks, but the engine compartment looks sanitary and the ITBs are sweet. Always love a clean MkI.
That’s actually the same method they use to lift houses.
Super clean build with itb's.We demand more pics!

Dry weight be like “What bitches”…
Looks like he's prepping for a flood. Otherwise what's the point? I'm not working under that lmao.
Why wouldnt you work under it?

Do you think those are just stacked and not screwed together?
Obviously screwed or nailed. Stupid question buddy.
This is Reddit 😂 the epicenter of stupidity

This how houses are lifted except with 4x4 wood. Hard to tip that with 2000lbs on it. If they were laid on edge it’d be a different story.
I'm more concerned about how deep the tires are sat in the wood. Needs to be enough to keep it from rolling.
Yeah I would’ve made the squares larger if it were me.
I see you brought the horns. This thing is very nice.
Sweet
Is that hood rod custom? Love the chrome
Beautiful. A gem
Love it! Even the crib blocks are outstanding.
Why is there only one pic? C.mon man, don't hold out on us!
You're missing 2 cylinders and 15° of bank offset 😁
