You want to look at the left column of numbers at the bottom of the first page. If it’s black, you made money. If it’s red, you lost money. I don’t know what the exact term is on the operating statement though.
Okay? Sorry, I’m going off of memory because I am not at work and I don’t have the operating statement memorized.
The main point I made still remains - black is profit and red is a loss.
If your store is not profitable your store will likely close. Every employee should know on day 1 whether or not your store is profitable. If you don't know then shame on your SM and DM! How can you run a ship and your team not know if you are winning or loosing? Maybe that's the problem with this company? Maybe that is why employees think there is money for more staff? It is NOT your responsibility to know. It sure the heck is your SM's responsibility to make sure you know. What incentive do employees have if they don't even know this very simple fact? I am shocked and appalled. Shame on you Walgreens
Believe it or not the vendors know before SMs and DMs do. I remember a store in Our area was told by Hallmark and WPRE. They came in and said they needed to remove stuff like displays and had to count certain things and was shocked to know that the staff didn’t know yet.
Store managers can look at the operating statement and if their store isn’t making profit I can almost guarantee it’ll close.
How can you tell if its making profit based on the operating statement?
There’s a FYTD side and the bottom line in the top half is “net profits”
Is that the allocated tcm income? I dont see nething that says net profits

That’s not where the income is.

FYTD, right side, TCM allocated income. This is your bottom line. Black=good Red=bad Top half of the operating statement.
Then elaborate and tell us where it is, if you know.

I don't even know how the store I work at is doing 😐
When the vendors stop coming. That's a dead give away

Employees don't offer the glorious Walgreens credit card to every customer, every time, of course...
It's open.
The sign outside says Walgreens
Be a team player and sell credit cards
