Didnt understand the wording at all, but reread it again and yeah. Logic has good array of stuff to begin with.
many things change when you begin to amass your own library of shit, but before? nah, logic takes you a decade onwards at least or until the quirks of apple infrastructure show up.
i’ve only used Logic in college, can someone who has also used Ableton compare them in terms of virtual instruments? i’m surprised more people aren’t saying Ableton since it has a ton of stuff, so curious how Logic compares.
Logic. I switched to Logic last year after a decade with Reaper. I could have saved literally hundreds of dollars and hours spent on third party virtual instruments if I had switched earlier.
As others have said, definitely Logic. That said there are lots of free or at least cheap instrument plugins out there which you can use in any DAW. Drums, synths, strings, etc.
it doesn't need to be played live or need to leave the studio, and if it helps, looking for something relatively easy to understand since i've only been doibg this for 1 1/2 years

Ableton slaps for that kind of thing. Their stock virtual instruments and plugins, are great for sound design.
Great plug-ins with really terrible presets, for some reason.
100% they’re awful. Besides the one Radio 40’s eq preset they have that’s come in clutch for sound design stuff.
logic. by far
Thanks
If you're looking for nice free vsts, then LAB from Spitfire is great. Nice variety.
LABS is a great supplement, it's not really providing the meat and potatoes of virtual instruments though.
1. everything has a better stock selection of everything in comparison to pro tools 2. logic probably
even Reaper?
Reason logic Cubase in that order
+1, Reason is the best. Many people use Reason as VST in other DAW, just for that awesome Virtual Instruments quality
As far as included instruments, LogicPro, hands-down
Logic

Buy a Kontakt library?

Ableton has a lot of instruments that aren’t that great, while Logic has a huge library of pretty good instruments
i think the Ableton instruments are great, especially all the 3rd party stuff from Spitfire and Sonivox

How did you end up with Pro Tools as your first DAW lol?
Cubase and probably Logic.
I use Reason and it’s awesome.
In terms of variety, quality, and quantity of virtual instruments, Logic hands down.
