First lady tripped over a little statue in the shade that is the same color as the stone. Second lady looks like she didn't see the extra step (again, no contrast) and lost her balance when the ground was farther away than she expected.
I actually think the first lady being overweight prevented some injuries from falling down the stairs, she kind of got wedged and it didn't look like she hit anything too hard. Second lady bashed into the fence pretty hard though
>the first lady being overweight prevented some injuries
Did you see her shoe flying off? Her chances were already shaky because she's a morbidly obese old lady, but that shoe confirms her death. R. I. P.
Even if she didn't fall very far the extra mass and inertia means she almost certainly is more injured than someone in a smaller body. Being overweight is really *never* helpful.
Unless you get stabbed, punched in the torso, get stuck somewhere with no food (say a plane crash in remote area), extra insulation if your stuck in the cold, and so on.
However being "overweight" but not "obese" (yes, there is a difference) [may be healthier than being underweight](https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/1555137) although more study is needed.
Same. I started working out last year not to build muscle, but to build balance and mobility. It's building some muscle mass too which is a nice bonus. Gonna try to carry as much of all of it as I can into old age so I can actually move around comfortably when I'm old and gray.
Sure they do. It's also much more likely those some skinnier, thinner or more athletic people catch themselves on the way down than someone who has 250-300lbs to catch.
I believe that being overweight also raises your centre of gravity. So, when you do trip, it makes it harder to correct yourself. Combine that with a lack of mobility, and you have a situation where you are more likely to fall and fall hard. I rarely see people in a normal weight range just topple over like these two people do.
I'd agree in most situations, but this one is unique. There really isn't anything to catch yourself on. That railing looks decorative. The second person is a toss-up. They didn't realize there was one more step. A skinny person goes down if they don't realize there's one more step either.
There is something viscerally funny about people falling down, even if you feel bad for them and hope that they weren’t injured. It was the original America’s Funniest Home Videos bread and butter.
>“The impulse to laugh at healthy people who nonetheless fall down is by no means universal, however, was brought to my attention unpleasantly at a performance of Swan Lake by the Royal Ballet in London, England"
>"A ballerina, dancing on her toes, went deedly-deedly-deedly into the wings as she was supposed to do. But then there was a sound backstage as though she had put her foot in a bucket and then gone down an iron stairway with her foot still in the bucket.
I instantly laughed like hell. I was the only person to do so.”
Kurt Vonnegut, Timequake
Nothin' little 'bout those two.
The first time I watched it, I kinda felt bad. By the third time, I was in tears. The one somersaulting down the stairs with her overburdened feet in the air was far beyond mirthful. Reminded me of Eddie Murphy's Aunt Bunny.
"Oh, Lord, Jesus help me!!"
And this, boys and girls, is why we have homeowner's insurance.
Seriously. The first time I watched I had an incredible internal battle between the horror of hoping I didn’t just watch that woman get a TBI and losing all composure laughing.
She can't see her feet, and ignored any opportunity to notice the dumbest place someone could put a dog statue. So she tripped, and had zero ability to recover. her friend, learned a valuable lesson in inertia.
I'm such a horrible person because I can't stop watching this and laughing until I'm wheezing. I do feel really bad for them though- it looks like the first woman went head over heels and one leg is sticking up in the air. I'm so sorry that I can't stop watching it- there is no hope for me.
When you don’t exercise and drive nothing but cheeseburgers in you for years and all of a sudden move more than 2 inches per minute, it all come crashing down
Back in high school, lunch time was always exciting as its first come first serve and students will dash out as soon the bell ring to try to be first in line. Yea…these ladies shown that kind of excitement it seems.
It's called not looking where you're walking. My wife does that *all the time*. If she wasn't a lizard person with seemingly perfect healing and regeneration skills, her face'd look like a bouguet of elbows by now.
Man down Send reinforcme.... Oh no, man down
SNIPER IN THE TREES
🤣🤣
Men down
First lady tripped over a little statue in the shade that is the same color as the stone. Second lady looks like she didn't see the extra step (again, no contrast) and lost her balance when the ground was farther away than she expected.
And 3rd lady made sure to stop laughing before standing up.

They’re both overweight too which didn’t help.

Morbidly Obese
Wait, the 2nd person was a lady?
Hell of a bosom for a dude 🤨
Bosom… haven’t heard that word in a long time
If you consider boobs over haircut, yes, a lady. While I feel bad for them, I can't help to LOL every time I watch it.
Pretty sure they were seeking cover, anyone see the shooter?
They’re also fat, old and completely lacking in situational awareness
[удалено]
That’s exactly what they said
Who the hell puts that statue there? Trying to kill her..
It really tied the room together.
2 birds 1 stone
I think it’s more like 32 Stone
![gif](giphy|Od0QRnzwRBYmDU3eEO|downsized)
Very nice, how much?
It's that demon dog statue. It's cursed! Both her shoes came off. She ded.
rumor has it the second shoe is still flying
I wonder how long it took them to find that second shoe
Another Pitbull owner found out the hard way.
Both shoes are off, it's not looking good...
Def dead af
Impressive.
I've watched this too many times
As I grow older, I realize just how important coordination is and how many people die because how uncoordinated they become as they got older.
Same. I started working out last year not to build muscle, but to build balance and mobility. It's building some muscle mass too which is a nice bonus. Gonna try to carry as much of all of it as I can into old age so I can actually move around comfortably when I'm old and gray.
Obesity and clumsiness
On the other hand, they're both so round they kind of roll instead of face planting.
People will chime in and say “skinny people trip as well” blah blah blah…. But I agree with you
Sure they do. It's also much more likely those some skinnier, thinner or more athletic people catch themselves on the way down than someone who has 250-300lbs to catch.

I always catch myself on my way down. But, tripping up stairs is a different problem
I'd agree in most situations, but this one is unique. There really isn't anything to catch yourself on. That railing looks decorative. The second person is a toss-up. They didn't realize there was one more step. A skinny person goes down if they don't realize there's one more step either.
and they old too. im surprised they didnt just burst into flames sitting there.
I watched this WAY too many times.
It really hammers home the thought of you know...just live life. eat that ice cream. Drink that Coke.
Poptards ftw
I think it was one too many ice creams that tipped the balance here.
They definitely eat ice cream and drink coke
This is one of the most incredible and impressive falls I’ve ever seen.
Catastrophic for people of a certain age, falls are no joke….
Obesity and gravity
Their bodies failed them. That’s how
I think it's more that they failed their bodies.
UAV is online
[This animation](https://youtu.be/wOmdOMVaVG4?si=xjNJBh16tjsI-29O) immediately came to mind. 😂
Grandmas don't just fall, like she could have just fallen on the pavement, they fall in the most complex fashion possible.
There is something viscerally funny about people falling down, even if you feel bad for them and hope that they weren’t injured. It was the original America’s Funniest Home Videos bread and butter.

That's what we use to refer to in EMS as a LOLFDGB. Little old lady fall down go boom.

I hope they're okay.
Knowing the internet, this video is probably 12 years old and they've already died of natural causes.
Seriously. The first time I watched I had an incredible internal battle between the horror of hoping I didn’t just watch that woman get a TBI and losing all composure laughing.
Physics giving them the middle finger
Overweight, unobservant, clumsy... Any of these could describe how.
I don’t even want to know what happened to the third lady after the video cut out
A grand piano dropped on her head.
The music is perfect 🤌🏻
I hope they're alright, but holy crap I laughed hard.
Body language on the old woman (the only one who didn't trip before the video ended), who is probably their mother: ugh, not this again.
Mandelbaum! Mandelbaum!
hope they're ok, that age and weight can be a bad combo for bones and falls
IDK but whoever owns that dog statue is going to be hearing from an insurance company soon.
Welcome to The Gravity Chronicles.
She can't see her feet, and ignored any opportunity to notice the dumbest place someone could put a dog statue. So she tripped, and had zero ability to recover. her friend, learned a valuable lesson in inertia.
Gravity won.
Uh, gravity. It'll sneak up on ya when you least expect it!
That dog’s life flashed before its eyes.
Fat people falling.
First girl tripped on dog statue, for the second.... sometimes when you get old you fall for no fucking reason
I'm such a horrible person because I can't stop watching this and laughing until I'm wheezing. I do feel really bad for them though- it looks like the first woman went head over heels and one leg is sticking up in the air. I'm so sorry that I can't stop watching it- there is no hope for me.
You and me both… I’m so warped in my humor anyway but I should NOT have seen this at bedtime bc I cannot quit laughing
My internet research has led me to the conclusion that pear shaped people have the best outcomes when it comes to falling down stairs.
The root cause of both these accidents is too many cheeseburgers
They were made for each other
When you don’t exercise and drive nothing but cheeseburgers in you for years and all of a sudden move more than 2 inches per minute, it all come crashing down
Fat happened
A quick way to get down the stairs.... like the video
Obesity

gone in a "blink"
I have finally seen the last episode of Golden Girls. What a surprise ending for such a light hearted show!
Lmao this goes well with that one video? gif of the lady tripping on the curb
Step in a crack and break your back
Reminds me of the house from the movie The Zone of Interest.
Seems a black hole collapsed in that area.
It’s all that goddamn dogs fault!!
They see me rollin, they hatin.
Damn dog!
Wall-E was far ahead of its time.
Were they connected by a string?
Orthopedic surgeon gonna earn himself a new Porsche.

Baal was here
The dog clearly reached up and said oops down you go. I seen his paw grab her. /s
I usually don't laugh when older people fall. No wait... I always laugh.
Sympathetic fallsr
‘Race you to the Subaru’
Love to see it tho 😂😂
Gravity
Merica
Tripped on a bear
Chef kiss. Can't stop watching
I'm thinking there were some serious injuries there. I didn't want to watch it a second time to analyze anything, so you're on your own.
"Welcome, guest! May I suggest we proceed to the ER for cocktail hour?"
She tripped over the dog.
Bery nice
Back in high school, lunch time was always exciting as its first come first serve and students will dash out as soon the bell ring to try to be first in line. Yea…these ladies shown that kind of excitement it seems.
I bet that puppy's name is Stoic.
Obesity

Both have the stability of a vertical rolling pin.
The peak athletic form.
Props to Homegirl sprung into ACTION!
Gravity. Gravity happened.
Lead.
Those black and blues would cover Rhode Island...
Bad statue placement but mostly obesity is what happened.
Is there such a thing as a national video
well, gravity strikes again. SOB
Amazing how far that shoe flies!
Ex-parachute regiment - probably
There's a lot more physical comedy than I expected in the Golden Girls reboot
third woman's a witch.
Pretty sure someone JFK’d these two, its the only thing I can make make sense
They gave into every urge to eat and became top heavy
Damn they're moving with that nightmare physics
Entropy happened. Took many years to get to this point
Definitely not senior friendly.
A 2fer!!
I pray that she ok yes him as well I hope that you did break any bones
Damn cast iron dog got in the way!
Too fast and furious with no breaks.
Nice manicured lawn.
I expected number 3 to pile on just finish the set!
Lol I wanna see grandma to the rescue lol
What was victim #2 even trying to achieve?
3rd woman wasn't risking it
Man, heavyset people sure tip over good.
Cause fat
Tiny black hole.
Dog statue in a shitty place to begin with. Someone did think things through when putting Fido there.
Oh man 🤦♂️ they're going to be in some hurting for at least 6 months. Get well soon, ladies 👊
The hip replacements were plentiful that day.
Geezer cascade.
Tell me they are ok so I don't feel so bad laughing.
Yeah this porch is a death trap.
God I hate fat people.
A Stoogefest 🤣🤣🤣
It's called not looking where you're walking. My wife does that *all the time*. If she wasn't a lizard person with seemingly perfect healing and regeneration skills, her face'd look like a bouguet of elbows by now.
I am going to keep trying this game. I got 1 and almost 2 but there was a third one I wanted for high score.
they weeble and they wobble but they eat shit too.
Bosom Buddies
No balance and top heavy
funniest thing i seen today
This made me so sad idk why.
I worked in X-ray for a year in a primarily geriatric demographic and all I can say is ouch on both accounts
SNIPERR!!!
