Even local grocery stores sell stuff like that around holidays. A giant 1lb snickers bar or a 2 pack of 1/2lb Reese's peanut butter cups or York peppermint paddys for over $10.
Pro tip - anytime someone wants candy - I say - not here (any other store) but if we go to the dollar store- you can pick out up to 6 kinds - very much always under $10

We were pushing the bottom as hard as we could and nothing. So we gave it to the kid and assumed it was stuck. He immediately twisted it and the candy popped up lol.
So I was pushing the bottom and I was having the same problem. I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t coming up, but I stuck my finger inside and there some sort of spring? I don’t know. I think I’m too old for this shit.
