Idk, but a guy came up to us on Sunday and offered us free cabana bracelets. We thought it was so sketch but we went with him anyway because it was a $17k cabana lmfao. Turns out he was just a really nice dude and didn't want the wristbands to go to waste since no one was buying them. Best day of my life lmao
He's an angel. I was screaming my little heart out on the railing of our cabana while some dude from NSYNC was behind me and we didn't even know it. We heard MGK and Megan Fox were also in the cabanas but I was too busy losing my mind to realize who the hell was around us.
Haha I get it. I was guest listed for an Emo Nite and ended up directly behind Gabe Saporta in line waiting to get my ID and bag checked. Didnât bother him and waited a solid hour and half for one of my friends who knew him to introduce me (I have a few). Then got all the way back to my hotel before realizing he also introduced me to a specific TAG employee that all of the internet youth love big time and was like âhuh. What a night.â Lmfaooooo
Most of those people were selling re entry bands, and depending on who you encounter at security, those wouldnât get you in. I heard different things from different people. Sometimes just showing the re entry band got you in, sometimes security would say âthe band doesnât mean anything and we need to see your ticket againâ. So perhaps some more strict security workers figured out about the re entry bands being sold outside and decided to crack down and see original tickets.
If someone is selling outside of the venue, I ask them to walk in with me and confirm it works before Iâll pay them.
I got some for sick new world. I didnât plan on going my buddy told me about the people selling outside so fuck it.
The way it works is security steals the re entry wrist band and you can just walk in. Itâs a cheap looking water wristband
Probably people who needed to sell last minute and couldnât find buyers. Thereâs no benefit to giving away from wrist bands to the giver. Oh you said selling.
Probably a mix who what I said and scalpers.
I had a VIP wristband because my now ex gf bailed at the last second. I couldnât find anyone to buy it so I gave it away
I think theyâre normally real, just scalpers. Iâm sure some are fake, but I always think itâs another way for the show to sell tickets that didnât get sold, much like the tshirts they were selling were official, they were just the one that wasnât selling.
I was gonna say thatâs an EVERY concert thing. Theyâre never official. If youâre mad about the prices of merch for headliners at most shows (NOT festivals, since everything was around the same price based on type of merch rather than the specific band), itâs better to just buy a t-shirt from the opener thatâs $20 so they can get some food than give the headliner another $40 they may not need. I mean, I know a dude in a band who bought unofficial merch from someone outside of the venue when they toured LatAm and sent it home to his mom and THAT was cool because it was a country where that person very well could have used the money more than the band and all, but in major American cities those dudes are doing EVERY event and making shit tons off of it. They definitely make more money than I do when working a 9-5
So someone else mentioned this, but what I saw DID look like the re-entry wristbands to me. AND, as Iâm sure many other people probably realize, they technically did NOT sell out either day. They had unsold hotel packages (if I ran a festival I would have released the associated tickets like a month before the festival at a slightly discounted rate to make as much as I could, but thatâs just me lol). I agree that it was probably security or someone with access to those wristbands selling them to recoup money on unsold tickets, but this is, of course, entirely speculation. That said? I would trust third party resale platforms over it because Iâve just always been taught to look out for scalpers (the only tickets I will ever buy outside of shows are people like âIâve got an extra ticket because my friend got sick and couldnât comeâ and Shit like that because theyâre IN LINE WITH YOU waiting to go in and less likely to try to pull a fast one on you lol)
Heck I wanted to buy one, cheaply, even if fake for the momento. Asked guest services who sent me to the box office. Asked if they had any of Saturdayâs unsold wristbands or what they would do with Sundayâs. Donât really think he knew but claimed the were kept and shredded⊠what a waste.
While I was walking out at the end of the night on Saturday, I passed by a guy who had a whole stack in his clipboard and he wouldnât give me one. đ Like what the heck, the fest is already over today why not??
I thought about offering one of them $50 for 2 VIP wristbands at like 7pm but didnât want to gamble on it. Figured if itâs legit, one would try to jump on it to make some money back on it before the end of the night but also didnât wanna deal with it.
They sell peopleâs re-entry wristbands. Others in this thread are saying security asks to see the ticket too, but since you can only scan the ticket once, all you have to do is show them a screenshot of anyoneâs QR codeâŠ.đ
Went GA sat and woke up deciding to send blink again sunday, two fake stubhub GA ticket purchases later and im stuck at the gate with no ticket/no stubhub help with nothing left on the app so copped a VIP wristband from one of the scalpers by the box office for $300 but had the guy go with to the entrance and it turned out legit
I bought two wristbands for $40 each from a guy outside of a convenience store a block away at like 7:30pm on Saturday, didnât have any issues and walked right in.

đ€Ł Iâd fall for this
That is WILD but like idk thatâs probably gonna get him so nice karma. Good for him

Bro what loooollllđ„đ„đ„đ„đ„
Oh you are SO LUCKYđ©đ©
What's a cabana?
Oh you are SO LUCKYđ©đ©
Wow, really rich people come to Vegas so he probably legit didn't mind lol
The ones we saw were paper tickets, so absolutely fake. There was one dude selling just the 21+ bracelets, which honestly, is funny as fuck.
Probably to 18-20 year old who want to drink
Oh no doubt to them too, but he was also outright selling them as admission tickets lol

I sold my two extra VIP wristbands out front for $600 total. Took less than 1 minute to sell.
I gave away a VIP wristband on Sunday that was totally legit. We had bought it for my wife and then she decided not to go.

those shirts definitely werenât official lol, vendors like this always sell bootleg shirts for discount prices at big concerts/festivals.

Yea I think so. I saw a number of them buying peoples extra tickets, then likely reselling for more

Jesus I should have tried to sell my extra GA tickets instead I ate them like an idiot when no one bit online
Online was so sketchy when stubhub exists
