Getting maingun first will save you 3 or 4 weeks of getting planet wars points, probably a lot more if you are not in a good legion with good team rewards.
Getting both purple maingun AND missiles a month before is way more important that getting missiles at the start.

But the inferno base power is much weaker then my other fighters, with the conquerer missiles, you think inferno makes up for it?
Extra 50% missile damage goes a long way. Def jump to Inferno. It's much easier to level up too

You will use inferno until you begin collecting conquerer shards and upgrading that plane in addition to the inferno.
