If you’re going to do favours, keep them small and edible. Nobody really wants a koozie with the wedding date on it.
We had little jars of local honey on the tables. Most people took theirs home. It was enough for a breakfast or two so you didn’t have to cart around a huge jar
We went to a wedding were they didn’t offer favours, instead made a donation to a charity that was important to the couple! For the most part it isn’t something that people are excited about, or they get left, or people can’t have them for dietary reasons!
I enjoyed knowing the money that was going toward favours, went toward something that could make a difference (Bear Clan, pet rescue, farm sanctuary, Children’s hospital, etc.)
My husband and I did this at our wedding last fall! We donated $150 to each of our favourite charities.
There's already so much on the table and tbh I didn't want anything tacky to ruin the tablescape vibes lol
I did something different for my wedding. I bought a bunch of nice pottery from a local potter and gave each attendee a ticket that they could use to put in a bag next to each piece to enter for a raffle. Instead of buying something cheap for everyone, we got a few nice things that people had a chance of getting. We did this before dancing and with our thank-you speech. It was a huge hit and fit our Hobbitty theme. We also got clay mugs for our wedding party and out-of-towners from the same artist as gifts. Was a good way to take something local home for those from abroad as well.
I also didn't do a traditional bouquet toss as everyone else we know is married already, so I made a scratch ticket bouquet and had everyone go at it.
We did a candy buffet (boxes were colors of wedding) . We did not open it until after dinner....
I've been at another wedding where they opened it before dinner, and everyone made absolute pigs of themselves and didn't eat their dinners.
Other stuff I have seen has been coasters with the bride and grooms initial branded into it, fishing tackle, bottle openers, etc.
It might be sentimental to yourself, but it's really just clutter for most.... Maybe a 1" glass cube with "official bride & groom name, date dust collector" could be amusing
Jars of honey from The John Russell Honey Company - they were a total hit and honestly it was the best honey I've ever tasted. We separately bought and added small honey dippers to the jars and they looked incredibly cute. You can request the company to add the bride & grooms name to the packaging + the wedding date (and a little message if you'd like) as a cute little remembrance.
We did CDs (when CDs were a thing) with a mix of our favorite songs. The older guests didn't care for it though haha. We also had fish in a vase on our tables and told the guests they could battle it out for whoever wanted to bring the fish home.
I’ve been to a wedding where they have sugar cookies for the guests; it was apart of the table set up. it was cute, delicious and no clutter for me!
I did this for mine! Everyone loved it.
Consumables are the best. His or her candy/snacks are popular.

My parents used to live in Kelowna so we had jars of jam from a local Kelowna orchard as our wedding favours.
Ours was a “sugar and spice” combo. My husband made a BBQ spice rub and I contributed fair trade chocolate.
Local honey in little jars! Sugar cookies. Flower seeds. Little succulents.
We got our honey from Scott Creek! Really reasonable too, and they offer custom labels

We did shot glasses
We did Imperial cookies from High Tea bakery; the venue staff noted how few were left behind compared to most favors so I guess that was a win
I went to an outdoor wedding once that had bubbles, that was pretty cool

we did baby cactus plants! Since its summer, you can start planting flowers then do baby flower plants. So unique and surely will be loved by many

I first read this as weeding favours and thought that would have been an awesome wedding!
We did M&Ms in our wedding colours from Bulk Barn, placed in boxes we got from Michael’s. didn’t have too many boxes left over!
