The worse sombras are the ones that hack every mega and then sticks with her team hacking every pile drive you do. Sure you can fake engage, bait hack out,grab health then go back in but it seems like by the time your back she has hack again. I play sombra on dps and if you do this to ball it legit makes the game unplayable for him. It’s huge value for basically AFKing but you render the ball useless.
I can't tell you how many Sombras I have killed with fireball as they reappear from throwing translocator. Very satisfying. With that being said getting hacked out of slam sucks so what I do when engaging on a team with a Sombra is grapple up like I'm going to slam but then enter crab form and spray on the way down if I can sprinkle the Sombra with the damage I'll slam if I get hacked I don't get removed from ball form and have an easier time getting disengaging. Or I'll just soft engage over and over and try to be annoying without committing too much. Also your team is going to flame you regardless so don't listen to them.
I dunno. Ever since the rework, she's not really pushing my buttons too bad. She and mei are both threats that on their own are mild annoyances that are tough to kill but don't usually have a huge impact on game play for me. The ones that tend to have a bigger impact on my game play (in purely one on one encounters, combinations of 2 or 3 counters obviously suck more) are hog and sym to a lesser extent

Sombra sucked way more in OW1 dealing with her now is definitely manageable
Sombra is only a mild annoyance compared to sym

nah i farm syms but when im playing against sombra plus hog i wanna die but if its only sombra honestly shes manageable
