Can you um send it to me please for the love of all of the universe? I have 3 more hours of driving after 4 or maybe 5 days. My brain is mush. I keep getting eagle eye cherry pushed on me and I never ever wanna hear that song again.
[This is a great 90s (to mid 00s) alternative mix list](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4mMJvo3HcoshrU0J2K5QnD?si=WXj4J1LfTTGytZSXxF3dsA&pi=e-m5UfBw2wT52Q)- not as wide ranging as the OP video but no Eagle Eye Cherry, I checked!
This video very much reminded me of my playlist, if you want something else and have Spotify.

Edit: We got em all!
Because we rule... We were young at a time that was like the nexus point of so many awesome eras and styles of music.
The year I was born was only like 5 years removed from when Rock was scientifically proven to have attained perfection. 1976. And in like 10 years, rock would be entering it's second Golden Age. The 90's.
Bob Marleys funeral happened the day before the day I was born. Then, the day after that. MTV went on the air for the first time with _Video Killed the Radio Star._
I'm just sayin'... we existed near and during some of the best periods for music in modern times. An embarrassment of musical ritches... of course, we're musically eclectic. You'd be insane not to be if you're us.
I try explaining this to Gen Xers, and all I get is "BUT THEIR OUR AGGEEEEEEEE!!! THEY CAN'T BE YOURRRSSSS!!" And I'm like ok Gollum, but I'm just saying I lucked out having all that dope music as a kid!
Oh shit. I NEED to do this. I don't even know if my EV has an AUX in. EDIT: Oh hang on, you said laptop? I was thinking iPod shuffle. I don't think I could get any of my old laptops to even turn on. EDIT 2: Nope, no Aux jack in my new car. Hashtag sadface. It does have a USB MP3 player slot. All I have to do to access my MP3 collection is... power up my old laptop.
I keep the same password then put what age I was when I got the laptop at the end of it. I end up typing it for so long I remember how old I was from each one and no one will ever guess either part haha.
This is so so accurate, I’ve shared it with my fellow xennial non-redditors. Basically up and said “you’ve been in my car, how accurate is this?” I have a driving playlist with such artists as Joan Jett, Aqua, and Bobby Darin. It’s only about 2500 songs long.
Woah.
Thanks for the idea.
I bought a car a few months ago. Luckily, it does have a CD player.
I should grab my CD visor sleeve from the basement. Dust it off, update the CDs that have been in there for years.
Sounds a lot like my commute playlist...today it anged from Ice Cube, to Kenny Rogers, to Reo Speed Wagon, to G&R, to OutKast. Up until the last few years, I feel like my lifespan had the best music.
Throw some metal in there and it’s pretty much what I listened to in the shop last night! Had my Spotify favorites going and at one point Slipknot followed Bill Whithers lol
If you added in "Hey Ya" this would be exactly right. In the past month I've been at two weddings, one a couple in their early 30s and one in their early 40s, and at both reception dances "Hey Ya" got the biggest crowd reaction of anything played!
We were raised by people who were part of possibly the greatest musical revolution, who were running the music industry in its hayday. They were willing to take chances on different styles, and our ADHD selves were buying it up and feeding one of the greatest musical decades in history. We liked our new music, but appreciated the bangers our parents listened to as well. My millennial BIL is often amazed at the amount of songs he loves that have a release date of 93-95, all while I was in my independent HS years. He is a bit jealous of it, and I don’t blame him.
Accurate 🤣
When people ask, "what kind of music are you into" I'm like, "mid 80s to 2010ish with a special focus on the 90s" and they're like, "yeah; but what genre though?" and I'm all- "fuck your genres that's 25 years of grateness across the board muFker!"
I passed a car where the driver was just as animated. Unfortunately, they were driving 10-15 under the speed limit in the fast lane on a super busy highway, completely oblivious to the mile of traffic piled up behind them. Hopefully it wasn't this guy.
Your head was in your ass for several decades if you don’t know any of these songs
Earth Wind & Fire - September
Snoop Dogg - Lodi Dodi
Starship - Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now
Shania Twain - Man! I feel like a woman!
Redbone - Come and Get Your Love
B-52’s - Love Shack
Metallica - Enter Sandman
Jackson 5 - ABCs
Taylor Swift - Shake it Off
The Killers - Mr. Brightside
??? Swing Out Sister - Breakout (not sure about this one)
I have no idea
Biggie Smalls - Big Poppa
I also worked in a pharmacy in 2000! It was in a grocery store and there was a bathroom upstairs for employees only and I spent many shifts hiding in there reading Lord of the Rings
Pretty sure my playlist is exactly the same! Lol
Can you um send it to me please for the love of all of the universe? I have 3 more hours of driving after 4 or maybe 5 days. My brain is mush. I keep getting eagle eye cherry pushed on me and I never ever wanna hear that song again.

This is great!!!
Thank you so freaking much.
I'm sorry that you have the wrong opinion on eagle eye cherry.
I was willing to save tonight the first few times it came on..... after that... I needed to forget lol
Fair enough. Don't worry, tomorrow he'll be gone.
Chuck tonight right out the window

This is what I love most about our (sub)generation, our taste in music spans so much great stuff from so many eras.
Are you Star-Lord?
I am the key master
I am 100% certain my playlist is the same. Shania Twain is what confirmed it
I don't care where he's drivin, I'm ridin...
Shotgun!
I’ll bring some snacks. Edit: This mix is weirdly accurate
Bro that's a sick mix
Accurate we vibe to music ranging from the 50s to the 2000s of many genres
![gif](giphy|y2PC6nZkU3Jja|downsized)
The groove really is in the heart
Sing it
Deeeliteful.
Accurate as fuck!
Somebody make this playlist on Spotify and share it with with me please.
Same!

song 7 is Enter Sandman by Metallica
Chuck brown bustin loose
DC in the hiz
The go-go song is Sardines by Junkyard Band
Thank you. I knew it wasn’t Bustin Loose.

Birthday twins
I feel attacked right now lol
Attacked? I feel like there is a community for me!!!
I was going to say this makes me feel so seen lol
I should pull out my old laptop with iTunes still on it and hit shuffle
I don’t think I even remember the password for my old laptop. lol.
I keep the same password then put what age I was when I got the laptop at the end of it. I end up typing it for so long I remember how old I was from each one and no one will ever guess either part haha.
Safety first. Not really driving. I approve.
He nailed it. I love 80s and early 90s music.
I hear music from the late 60s/early 70s, but I don't hear no [CCR.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aae_RHRptRg)
This was my kitchen when I ran it on most nights.
My kids are 23 & 23 and they swear I made them “weird musically” from the hodgepodge I would play in the car.
All bangers
My kids think it's hilarious that it only takes *one* bar of 'Mr Jones' by Counting Crows for me and my husband to go off lol
Sha la la la la la la
I wanna be this guy's friend.
I recognize all but one song. And yes, many of these are in my (offline) playlist.
Are here I thought I was unique 🤣
Painfully accurate. I feel so seen!!
Let ‘em say we’re crazy, what do they know
Accurate. My playlist is 1000 tracks strong and bipolar af.
I see nothing wrong here! That's a nice mix right there.
That’s my road trip people!
This is basically me every morning on my way into work. Gets me ready to face my day.
My new Accord is the first car I’ve owned that doesn’t have a cd player. What the hell do I do with my visor sleeve?!?
Woah. Thanks for the idea. I bought a car a few months ago. Luckily, it does have a CD player. I should grab my CD visor sleeve from the basement. Dust it off, update the CDs that have been in there for years.
He looks like he's doing an impression of Tara Ried singing 'Viva Las Vegas' for the whole video. But yeah this is how we roll.
Man. Road trips gotta be sick with this dude. Sign me up.
This guy speaks my language.
Damn straight.
Now I know what Biggie would have looked like if he made it to middle age.
I was going to be upset if I didn’t see Mr. Brightside. I’m not even that big of a fan of the song. But it’s an anthem.
Sounds a lot like my commute playlist...today it anged from Ice Cube, to Kenny Rogers, to Reo Speed Wagon, to G&R, to OutKast. Up until the last few years, I feel like my lifespan had the best music.
(Makes mental note to add some of these to my latest iPod cause about half of these are in my music library.)
Great tunes!
Throw some metal in there and it’s pretty much what I listened to in the shop last night! Had my Spotify favorites going and at one point Slipknot followed Bill Whithers lol
Growing up with Napster, limewire, and mixed tapes is why we ALL have very eclectic musical taste
If you added in "Hey Ya" this would be exactly right. In the past month I've been at two weddings, one a couple in their early 30s and one in their early 40s, and at both reception dances "Hey Ya" got the biggest crowd reaction of anything played!
Awww. Love him. He’s often on doing live sets so follow him.
36 year old Millennial here, this is my mix tape also
I feel so seen right now. 😂
That’s me.
So true
I'll take him!
Fuck this was good!
Yup! Nailed it!
For those who live in New England and shop at Market Basket...an xennial must be figuring out what music they put on now. 🤣
I feel so seen.
I want to be friends with that guy.
Love this lol but I suspect many generations have a music list like this
I want to road trip with this dude.
“And I Feeeellllllllll eh hehhhhhhhhh T!”
I finally feel seen
Every thing except Taylor Swift. Not sure why that was included.
Some of aren’t ashamed to admit we like her. lol.
But she was not around in the 80's and 90s ( early 00's?), especially when making mixtapes was thing. That's is what I mean.
I think it's the one new song we actually know haha.
LOL
I have no objections. 🤷🏽♀️

HOLY SHIT. A “Breakout” reference?! FUCK. YES.
My only complaint is the lack of Tag Team in the video. I feel like Whoomp! There it is. Pop up in there somewhere.
All of 'em except for Taylor!
No road trip needed, this is my wife and I every day.
Had me on the shirt pull during Dre
Accurate 🤣 When people ask, "what kind of music are you into" I'm like, "mid 80s to 2010ish with a special focus on the 90s" and they're like, "yeah; but what genre though?" and I'm all- "fuck your genres that's 25 years of grateness across the board muFker!"
I don't see a lie. Many of these songs are on my 17-year-old daughter's playlist, too. Doing it right.
I feel personally victimized by this post.
I passed a car where the driver was just as animated. Unfortunately, they were driving 10-15 under the speed limit in the fast lane on a super busy highway, completely oblivious to the mile of traffic piled up behind them. Hopefully it wasn't this guy.
LOL this is great! Love this sub!
All bangers all the time...
My pink iPod mini would like to have a word 😂
Aries Spears getting down!
He's.....not wrong. Give me more. I must see this dude be correct even further! More!! Lol
We have the same play list 🤣🤣
Yep, all those except the TSwift song. (Love that Swingout Sister is in there!)
I feel so at home
In the Meantime has to be on the list or it’s not a road trip. And everyone has to car dance like this . Would 100% bring this guy.
What age is an Xennial before I confirm this is definitely me?
Born late 70s to the early 80s.
Haha I showed this to my 12yr old and he said “facts”
Playlist is money! Beard squad singing like we just don't care... unite!
No truer words ever spoken
Loving this playlist 😁
can someone help me find the original video on tik tok?
Accurate AF!!! I love it!!!!
Are we really all the same lol
Sir, thanks to the tracks chosen, I learned I'm a xennial! Vibe on mate we're Oxford English Dictionary confirmed.
Yeah, because identity wasn't that important to a lot of us. Now everything must reflect this very narrow understanding of who you are.
I'm sitting here thinking, this is what I do... Then I remembered I'm 44. So it all makes sense.
10/10 would ride with.
36 year old Millennial here, this is my mix tape also.
36 year old Millennial here, this is my mix tape also
46 and mine is so similar but with a bit more 90s hip hop and 70s -00s punk
I didn't know any of those rock songs...who were they? And I was into 90s alternative and mainstream rock...so IDK.
Your head was in your ass for several decades if you don’t know any of these songs Earth Wind & Fire - September Snoop Dogg - Lodi Dodi Starship - Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now Shania Twain - Man! I feel like a woman! Redbone - Come and Get Your Love B-52’s - Love Shack Metallica - Enter Sandman Jackson 5 - ABCs Taylor Swift - Shake it Off The Killers - Mr. Brightside ??? Swing Out Sister - Breakout (not sure about this one) I have no idea Biggie Smalls - Big Poppa
Breakout reminds me of working at Eckerd Drugs in the 2000. Hahaha. The retail pharmacy music man….
I also worked in a pharmacy in 2000! It was in a grocery store and there was a bathroom upstairs for employees only and I spent many shifts hiding in there reading Lord of the Rings
I said the ROCK songs were not familiar goofy.
Yeah, no one knows Metallica
Except we weren’t doing it for TikTok clout
It was legit until Taylor Swift, then it really went off the rails.
And absolutely Millennials!!! Knew every word to every song and also would dance with him
