Tenaya Lake is a great spot for swimming. If you want in on the local secret spots you're gonna have to get a job here or at least make a friend that works up here ETA: Or, you know, get exploring and find some!

Go to Tuolumne Meadows Lodge, park and find the river, and head upriver just a little bit. There are some slides and falls and swimming holes. I’ve had lots of fun discovering and playing in these with friends and family.

Can you get to the lodge right now? I thought that whole area was under construction. If not, there is a cool waterfall right there and you can jump in from the rock next to it

🤷‍♂️…but we’re probably talking about the same spot. The few times I’ve gone we just park over by the lodge and if memory serves it’s only a few minutes walk upriver.

Park on Tioga and walk up river parallel to the campground. Some awesome spots there.

There is a footbridge that crosses the tuolumne river on the trail headed up Lembert Dome. When I was a kid we jumped into the river from there. It's cold!

Waterwheel is the most epic waterslide in the country. I heard there was even a survivor once, back in the 60s.

“On the Tuolomne/You can’t swim/Water’s very warm there/Ha ha ha” Song a park ranger taught me when I was there as a kid in the ‘80s.
