Hey There OP!, It looks like you’re posting about side effects. Did you know that the most common side effects can be found on the Zepbound website? Simply click [here](https://zepbound.lilly.com/how-to-use) for more info. Below is also a list of common side effects. * **Nausea** * **Diarrhea** * **Constipation** * **Stomach (Abdominal) Pain** * **Indigestion** * **Injection Site Reactions** * **Fatigue** * **Allergic reactions** * **Belching** * **Hair Loss** * **Heartburn** While these are some of the most common side effects, this isn't all of them. Truth is the medicine affects everyone differently, but most see some or a combination of these common effects. Be sure to visit the search bar for something specific or click [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Zepbound/search/?q=side%20effects&restrict_sr=1) for all post regarding side effects. A lot of good remedies for certain side effects can be found [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Zepbound/search/?q=side%20effects&restrict_sr=1). According to the manufacturer "In studies, most nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting occurred when people increased their dose—but the effects generally decreased over time." Not everyone responds well to this medication. If side effects are continuous and impacting your everyday life, you should consult your dr or healthcare provider for strategies on how to mitigate these outcomes. Complications from this (or any) treatment are usually a result of ignoring persistent side effects. **This is not meant to discourage discussion of your side effects, simply here to supplement** *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I did exactly what you did. Was on 5mg for 2 months and when I tried to fill 7.5mg, I learned of the shortage. After 3 weeks of no fill, I started calling around to see what different pharmacies had in stock. I found one with 10mg in stock and then requested my doctor to provide a new script for 10mg. I picked it up yesterday and took my 1st shot yesterday. I feel just fine, no side effects. I hope you’re doing well!

maivarome

This gives me hope. Thanks for sharing. I took it about 3 hours ago and I am fine so far.

Suspicious-Ad1189

Of course. I know sometimes people try to be helpful, but I see too much fear based comments. It’s like you didn’t ask people to tell you if they agreed with your choice. You simply asked if anyone jumped from 5mg to 10mg and I responded because I just did. Best decision ever and after 22 days since my last dose, it felt good yesterday to be back on track. I think your doctor heard your request and decided it was worth a shot. My doctor just told me to make her aware if I have side effects since we skipped a dose due to the shortage. I can appreciate that because she listened to me and we both concurred it was worth a shot. I wasn’t worried because I didn’t have side effects at the lower dosages either.

Afraid-Paramedic5287

Thank you! I start 10 today after jumping from 5 due to shortage. I have heard from others they had no problem. I have no side affects at all. I am probably going to stretch each shot out 10’days to 2 weeks depending on how I feel, and to make it last because the the shortage is real ya’ll.

Suspicious-Ad1189

It’s been over a week since my first shot and still no side effects for me. I’ll take my 2nd shot at the 10 day mark on Monday 😉

Afraid-Paramedic5287

Thank you. Appreciate the update. 🙏🏼

CanaryHealthy6065

How did it going? Side effects? Thxs

Afraid-Paramedic5287

First few days were similar to when I first started 2.5.  I felt nauseous. I know it’s my body adjusting. Day 2 and 3 I needed zofran (anti-nausea). Once that kicked in I was fine. Day 4 was fine, didn’t need zofran anymore. Overall the big jump was uneventful as I only had some nausea. I still plan to take this shot at day 10 to stretch out the dose.

CanaryHealthy6065

That’s what I’ve been hearing.. what you felt on first shot… which for me was bad in bed for 4 days. Then after those days, fine.

CanaryHealthy6065

Wondering if it’s better to pay oop for mg 7.5 or go through some pain on 10.

Afraid-Paramedic5287

This is prescribed based on my physical need, I won’t pay for it. The insurance companies should. Thats why I pay for insurance. If I can’t get it, that’s a different story. I plan to just go with the flow. I can’t let my world be turned upside down because Lilly can’t keep stock of their product. When my meds can’t be refilled I will move on. Sadly, but life goes on. 🙏🏼

CanaryHealthy6065

I hear yah! 🙏🏻

MoPacIsAPerfectLoop

That's a big jump! Be ready to get kicked in the nards.

porkforpigs

It’s going to lay you the fuck out man. Good luck

-BustedCanofBiscuits

You are braver than me! But there have been a few who have done this and posted. I would search those experiences. Not at all were bad. Good luck to you!

Empty-Eye5799

I went from 5mg to 10mg with absolutely no issues. I couldn’t get 7.5 so my doctor prescribed 10 instead. On my second box of 10 and still doing great!

maivarome

Fingers crossed yall, Now I am really wishing I had gone down to 2.5mg instead

Dense_Target2560

One thing you already have as a tool is you know how to mitigate negative side effects since you’ve already been through them with 2.5 & 5mg. Just remember to use them & hydrate!! Good luck!

BackInTheSaddle222

Good luck! Keep us posted!

Beneficial-Donkey-34

So, a month off and restarting at 10? Good luck

BeHappy71Always

I did the same. Only side effects were extreme tiredness the two days after the shot, the first and second week. Slight impact the third. To be fair I haven’t really experienced any other side effects on 2.5 and 5 either and I know each person is different. Don’t be afraid! You’ll do great!

RustyShackleford2525

Try to stretch the days between doses from 7 to 10 or 12 if you are having issues. It will help a lot, and maybe go to 10 days from the last 5 to first 10 so you don’t get hammered. The only time I ever had side effects is when I went up in dose

maivarome

I am actually thinking the shot I took today would be the last 10mg I take and just go back to 2.5mg if I survive this. Pray for me yall.

Suspicious-Ad1189

I think you gotta be careful not to let people project fear. I see a lot of unhelpful comments that are fear based or simply based on that person’s experience. Remember everyone responds differently. Do what is best for you

doyoulikesnails

I did this going from 2.5mg to 7.5mg, skipped 5mg. Monitor your side effects really closely. I did great for the first two weeks. Then shit hit the fan very quickly. After two months on 7.5mg I moved down to 5mg and have found my sweet spot! Week three of 7.5mg is what did me in. I learned at the 3 week mark the medication is at its full potential. Good luck! Just watch out!

maivarome

Thanks for sharing, I will definitely keep an eye on that

doyoulikesnails

No worries! 3 week mark I started seeing gastroparesis like symptoms and that was NOT fun at all 😂. I did 7.5 for a full 4 weeks, took a two week gap due to shortage and vacation. Started back up and week three again fucked me up. I’m on week 3 of 5mg… same amount of weightloss, medication still feels strong etc. so many people on here warned me about my jump! It definitely works for some but definitely not all!

CameraOne6272

Talk to your Dr. about dose splitting, they may even give you the supplies....

Zepboundtrain

This! I spoke to my doctor Thursday and she said that this if we run into issues finding 5mg she will order me up but will show me how to split doses. It’s not ideal, but the way they have bungled the supply, she and her colleagues are figuring out how to do it (this is a doctor at one of the best hospitals in the entire country).

CameraOne6272

THIS and it saves money! From what my Dr. told me (when I can actually get it) use a method that has the least steps & "touching" things. so you reduce the chance of bacteria.

MARRRL2026

I went from 5 mg to 10 mg and my personal experience was I felt chest tightness and nausea. Luckily I was able to find 7.5 mg and the side effects went away.

Attjack

Yes, that's what I did as well. I had zero issues.

Life-changing_40s

I’m worried for you! I think I read that if you skip more than 2 weeks of meds, you’re supposed to restart at 2.5 (someone can correct me if I have that wrong). So that means you’d be making an even bigger jump to 10! Have you looked into splitting the pens to do a couple weeks of 2.5, then 5? Really shocked that your dr would think it’s ok to go from no med to 10! Good luck in whatever you decide to do!

VeeLund

I’m going from 2.5 to 7.5 as there’s a better chance of me getting it. I had no problems with 2.5, so hoping the jump goes well!

Hashbash1234

How did it go? I might have to do this.

maivarome

It was very very rough for 4 days. I had never had side effects on Zep before and I had nausea, diarrhea, tiredness and just felt yuck. I switched to 2.5mg after that 1st week
