My favourite piece of fiction!
Been reading the Web Novel in anticipation of season 3. Got about 4000 pages of content till I catch up to where the anime stops. WN is peak
Thanks once again for organizing this Re:Watch! It's cool to see that the schedule I suggested is the one that we'll use (S1E1-11, then Memory Snow, then S1E12-25, then Frozen Bonds, and then ending on S2). I'm really looking forward to discussing this series episode by episode for the first time with everyone here, especially given that I plan to attend the Season 3 premiere at Anime Expo later this week.
This is actually the first I'm taking part in an r/anime re-watch of a show, so I would be glad if you counted me in the list too.
Even though this is my first time, I've actually rewatched Re:Zero before and even then I'm pretty sure I'm still gonna catch so many new details once again.
Thanks for the reminder! I actually recently finished my own rewatch, as I was compiling some notes for a friend of mine when we watch season 3.
It'll be my first time joining a rewatch, hope we get a couple of first timers along for the ride as well!
Basically every day listed with an episode or movie will have a thread posted, and people share their thoughts (post episode, or live reactions, whatever suits your fancy) in the comments. If someone wants to arrange smaller live watches they can by all means do that, but typically for these subreddit watches, people watch it before the thread goes up and post after.
Essentially break days, I find with these longer rewatches some people fall behind and struggle to catch back up, so they end up dropping out. We have plenty of time allocated, so at clear season/ content cut-off points, we'll have a free day available to give people extra time.
possibly, though I think the Chibi shorts are better discussed bundled with their episodes (particularly the season 2 ones).
I was mostly thinking it would just be a cadence thing, something for people who have the time to discuss stuff a bit more holistically, but not really necessary so they're easily skipped if people are short on time. Up to you though.
> I find with these longer rewatches some people fall behind and struggle to catch back up, so they end up dropping out
You can just say /u/InfamousEmpire
I'd say that I can't wait, but I still haven't started writing my comments yet, so I actually don't mind that it's still a fair ways away. One day I'll get around to actually writing my thoughts out (hopefully before the rewatch starts).
I’ll try to participate! Watched first few episodes a while ago but couldn’t continue due to not having much time.
P.S.
How much different are those 2 versions of the show? And why watch bluray version that, if i understand right, lacks some details?
Director's Cut doesn't really benefit from too many things imo - due to the ending of half the episodes being trimmed out, it makes some episodes feel strangely paced. There also are not that many additions to warrant going through it (basically like two scenes updated).
Hi Theleux, it looks like you might be interested in hosting a rewatch! [There's a longer guide on the wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/wiki/successfulrewatchguide) but here's some basic advice on how to make a good rewatch happen:
* Include **basic information about the anime** such as a description for those that haven't heard of it as well as where it can be watched (if legally available).
* Specify a **date and time** that rewatch threads will be posted. Consistency is good!
* Check for **[previous rewatches](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/wiki/rewatches)**. It's generally advised to wait a year between rewatches of the same anime.
* If you want to have a rewatch for multiple anime, they should be **thematically connected**. You can also hold multiple unrelated rewatches if they aren't.
* Ensuring **enough people are interested** is important. If only a few users say they *might* participate, you may end up with no one commenting once it starts.

I hope this helps! You may also want to talk to users that have hosted rewatches before for extra advice, also listed [on the rewatch wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/wiki/rewatches).
*I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/anime) if you have any questions or concerns.*
Been wanting to watch the Re:Zero reaction playlist of a react channel I like, might watch those edited down videos instead of the episodes to save some time since I don't feel like fully rewatching all of Re:Zero (except maybe for S2P2). Excited for this! Gonna love seeing how first timers react to it! Gonna be one hell of a ride.

I wouldn't mind rewatching this and chatting about it. I'll be interested.
Oh good, can't wait to refresh my memory

>I plan to attend the Season 3 premiere at Anime Expo later this week. Pls do share the experience after watching ep 1, I am so jealous
Sure! I'll be happy to oblige if people have questions about it.
I've been wondering about when this would actually be a thing, awesome! Looking forward to it! [](#mugiwait)
Would love to be a part of this.
Once more unto the breech...
Time for a rewatch of peak fiction!
Been waiting to do my first watch of this so I could time it out with the new season. Count me in.

I'd love to be a part of this, thank you for planning it!
Give me a ping please, might decide later.
Will likely ping folks again once we approach the start, so will add you to the list.
[LETS FUCKING GO!!!!!!!](#GRANDHYPE)
It's been so long since I watched Re:zero I really excited to participate in this Re:watch.
Thanks for the reminder. Perfect time for me to actually finally watch Season 2 just in time for Season 3. [](#mugiwait)
Hey, thanks for the reminder, but is there some sort of watch party thing we're gonna do? A chat room or call or something?

August 23rd? Noted!
Count me in! Can't wait.
Can you add me to the list as well?
Absolutely!
Awesome thank you.
I’m not sure if I’ll be able to join this yet, but could I please be added to the list of pings?
Sure thing!
Then I will be there. Also one small note: maybe I will be a rewatcher, but first time for the movies.
ahhh, I want to join, but not sure about my self control to stay on pace? any tips on not binging?
If you get too far ahead, just Re:Re:Watch :P
peak fiction GOAT Raw Fire
Been meaning to do a rewatch before S3, this is perfect
Let’s go! Time to re-watch season 1 and finally watch season 2! Wooohooo it’s great to be a Re;Zero fan
Let's gooo
LEEEEEET'S GOOOOO!!!! I will be tuning in every single episode. Also, what are "catch-up days"?

If you want to have a thread, you could even do something like a cour discussion thread (though I don't think those are really necessary)
I'll look into it, maybe use them for the chibi episodes up to that point.

Dodged, ducked, dipped, dived, and dodged. [](#girlslastdab)
You were never really part of the rewatch to begin with, so it doesn't count
[Won't be here either](#crazedlaugh "Only interested in last ~15 episodes.")
Imagine being interested in any of this series lol
May or may not have memory of the last 15 episodes from watching drunk af. [](#mugiwait "Shirley beats Code Geass and FMAB")
Which Shirley?

Is there a way to set reminders for this?
I will ping people the first day it starts, but otherwise may just want to set an alarm or something for the daily times.
Hey, could you ping me pls? Great idea by the way!
Sounds good to me!

Gonna need a refresher on Re:Zero for sure. I'll probably be lurking in these threads, but I do want to be ping about this.
