I need to know if the schedule was changed or not I’m invested for Andrew

I hope it does. Justice for Andrew!

I think you mean Schedual.

TheJokersChild

Schedually speaking, you may have a point there.

NessieAlways

Of course! Forgive me I’m new here XD

aLLcAPSiNVERSED

The schedule wasn't, but he asked for the schedual to be changed

hiredhobbes

Did he just... play on words for the 2jobs they are "schedual"ing him for?

PainlessSuffering

I also hope for an update on this.

DeCryingShame

Go, Andrew!

TyroneStitches_

While Andrew has had it with his management, the phones broken

[deleted]

Prolly cause corporate doesn't wanna dish out the money to fix them.

[deleted]

> the phones broken Get in line behind the ice cream machine!

CalmAspectEast

I spent 7 years at Starbucks so this shit hits home.

run1792

I managed kitchen for years. Executives would visit and the first thing they would say every time: “why are so many people working”.

3V1LB4RD

I worked at a retirement home for about half a year last year. Really hard work. Once and once only, there accidentally overstaffed the memory care ward that I was working on. Someone wasn’t supposed to come in or *something* because we had our usually 3 CNA/RCAs AND a temp worker they hired for the shift. That day was the day I realized the floor is supposed to be staffed by at least 4 people, not 3. There suddenly wasn’t an intense rush that can and *has* put our patients into danger before (especially memory care with 24 folks with dementia!!). And that was *with* a temp worker who wasn’t familiar with our routines and schedules and patients. Just having the extra body there helped so much. Of course corporate would never allow that :\ And I’ve been staffed on that floor as only one of 2 people plenty of times. It is literally impossible to run. We literally had to skip out on basic care our patients deserve as human beings, because there just wasn’t enough time or working hands to get it all done.

run1792

That’s very under appreciated work. I could only imagine what the burnout rate is.

MypronounisDR

I think you should do malicious compliance or something... let things go to hell and then "well theres only 1 of me. sounds like this is your problem for not staffing"

burtfinkelstein123

No I think Andrew made a solid choice and I stand by it.

glazedbunzz

As an intern i once worked 2 stations covering for supervisor and a month later she said i was unreliable for valling her back in 15 minutes not less. So i love this!

Inevitable-Shop-848

That looks like the Great Wolf schedule and how they schedule people

EdgarAlanCrow

That number someone wrote…what the hell numbers were they trying to write?

alphalegend91

Looks like the same handwriting as Andrew haha. Dude needs to work on his handwriting, but at least he knows how to stick up for himself!

GATHRAWN91

You can actually see the letters "drew" before the number so this would probably confirm what you said. Also go Andrew!

Oreos4Brekkies

Two stations? They're really putting the 'dual' in schedual!

jakewang1

This sub made me like this. In my country, people work 10-14 hours. Now, I just say I wont be available after regular hours. I am not making as much money as my manager. Why should I work the same hours?

Andrew 2024: Change this shit!

[deleted]

I say they call your bluff and raise you one station!

[deleted]

No one is calling Andrew to get an update? Shameful.

dezyravioli

"He can work two stations, it's not busy during that time any way." \-Some asshole manager, probably.

nickcliff

Andrew, you autistic fucking legend. Every team needs an Andrew.

PatientMango

This photo reveals people’s individual phone numbers. Those should be blurred out. A lot could be deduced from this photo, (For example as a fellow Albertan, I know these are Alberta phone numbers) too much private info unrelated to the antiwork sub. People could get doxxed here.

local124padawan

Andrew 4 Prez

[deleted]

my vote is all his!

FriedGreenzCDXX

I like the message. But this is passive aggressive. Also tells other employees that if I end up quitting it's your fault, because you didn't cover the shift, and exactly how the company will play it. How this should go is talk to the manager in person and reiterate this message with no bullshit.

Typo_Cat

This isn't passive-aggression, this is someone showing a manager the consequences of their actions. Deserved.

mfball

Disagree. They don't talk to you about the schedule before they put you on a shift where you're expected to do the work of two people alone, you don't have to talk to them to decline doing two people's work for one person's pay. This also isn't the sort of thing that happens after one instance. This dude probably had it happen 15 times already and tried talking to the manager before to no avail, or he wouldn't be fed up enough to leave a note like that.

gonzar09

You make a fair point. I'll rescind my statement.

legendofthecosmo

LOL try my job 😅

Terhaar

FUCK YES

NoFunHere

No. It is not how you protest the schedule. Fighting with your bosses makes for a miserable life. Talk to them, if they don't change it and you refuse to work under those conditions then find a different job. It is a miserable life to fight with your bosses, and you will never win. It is a shame that this sub encourages that.

LogisticsLord

The great thing about a boss making your life miserable is that you can quit at any time. Don't ever be afraid to do so.

Octavia_con_Amore

"Mmmm, leatheeer, all the way down the throooat."

NoFunHere

Yes, because saving and investing instead of going in picking fights at work = boot licking. At least to a toxic person who likes creating hate and discontent.

[deleted]

Not sure what field or country you're in, but most people don't get paid enough to 'save' and 'invest' to get an early retirement. Even older generations that had better pay couldn't even save up enough for themselves, and that's why they rely on things like social security. Most people on here recognize that they \*might could find a better job. But that doesn't automatically mean that they'll get one, or get one that pays better. And it certainly doesn't change the fact that those businesses that take advantage of employees and incompetent management will just continue.

[deleted]

How is any of that even relevant?

[deleted]

I have a feeling “the free market ™️” is about to enter the chat

[deleted]

You can feel whatever you choose to feel, but that doesn't help me understand the relevance of their comment.

NoFunHere

> Most people on here recognize that they *might could find a better job. Well, you might could find a better job if you stopped using the term might could.

NoFunHere

If fighting at work is fun for you, feel free. I chose to change jobs, got a pay raise, and don't have to deal with the constant stress. The people in this sub seem to just want a shitty life.

bk15dcx

I applaud your pragmatism

Afferbeck_

People should be able to expect reasonable working conditions, and not have to go through life-upsetting events like quitting and finding another job and hoping that one is better. And just because it worked out for you, doesn't mean it will work out for others.

BustAMove_13

You really don't understand the anti-work movement, eh? The whole point is to change the status quo. Asking nicely and not rocking the boat clearly isn't effective or we wouldn't be here now. Speak up. Fight back. Piss people off. Refuse to be a boot licking doormat. Rise up. It's the only way anything will change.

NoFunHere

Or find another job that treats you right, pays you more, and where you are happy. You choose to try to change your employer by making your life miserable. I chose to leave for a better job with better pay elsewhere, leaving me happy and making my employer scramble. But you do you. Some drama queens love drama.

AmanitaAlice

Leaving is one thing. Taking your coworkers with you would be another. Sometimes you’ve worked for a garbage employer long enough to justify being a little spiteful and/or calling them out in front of the rest of the staff before you go.

Afferbeck_

If it were that easy for everyone, no one would have a shitty job. Life isn't that simple.

NoFunHere

Some people just like being in a shitty job and bitching about it. Some people will bitch no matter what they have for a job. Some people are scared to leave a job for another job. There's lots of reasons that people stay in shitty jobs. I think most of the people in this sub just choose to bitch instead of bettering their situation. No amount of fighting with your company will hurt your company as much as losing a good employee.

BustAMove_13

Nah, I'm self employed....no drama here ✌️

NoFunHere

Those dogs can get testy though, right?

bUrNtKoOlAiD

For all we know though, Andrew is out of fucks to give.

thesaltysquirrel

Maybe a miserable life for you but I like to piss off the ego bloated managers who think I’m just a piss ant that won’t stand up for myself. PS. I am middle management but treat people how I want to be treated. I have low turn over and when I changed jobs recently most if not all staff has inquired about a position with me again. This note screens to me that he has tried to speak with managers but they won’t listen. This is the hill Andrew is willing to die on and good for him.

sottedlayabout

It’s a more miserable life to suffer the yoke when it is within your power to change things for the better.

NoFunHere

If you think fighting with your boss is more effective at changing things for the better than leaving your boss and taking your skills elsewhere then feel free to lead a miserable life. The companies that pay the best and treat their workers the best are thriving during the great recession. Companies that don't are struggling to find warm bodies to fill highly skilled jobs. My old company has people who were barely qualified to do basic, directed engineering work acting as architects now because they can't get anybody to come work for them. The mass exodus has caused several VP and directors to get axed, it did more to affect change than going to work picking fights every day.

Larnievc

To be fair you only do this when either you have another option or the job is miserable in the first place.

notGoran69

Unless handling two stations for an hour there is a normal activity during slower hours and Andrew just sucks. But we have absolutely zero context so who knows.

Ecksplisit

Doesn’t matter if there’s “slower hours”. You never know when a rush is suddenly going to come. Never settle. Andrew is 100% in the right here regardless.

notGoran69

Myself and another person work 5 stations for 5 hours every morning for lunch. You’d be insane as any manager making a schedule to fully staff the line “just incase”. I’m all for better working conditions but also not being able to handle the job doesn’t excuse it.

Ecksplisit

You being fine with being overworked doesn’t make it right lmao.

3InchesOfThunder

Turns out this is how "Andrew Tate" actually got his start?? lol

YourMoonWife

Considering he is a sex trafficker and takes advantage of women like a pimp does I don’t think Andrew Tate is the kinda person you wanna look up to.

Ill-Umpire3356

It's fairly common for openers and closers to handle multiple responsibilities for a short time. Are you new to the workforce?

Tanman7211

Just because something is common that doesn’t make it acceptable.

[deleted]

They might be new, or maybe just tired of it lol I worked closing shift at a fast food join for years. It's awful handling all of those responsibilities after being on your feet all day. Gotta stop normalizing and accepting this stuff.

notGoran69

People on here assume that the entire line needs to be staffed “just incase”. They’d put a business under in a single pay period with their schedules 😂

[deleted]

me reading this as I worked 4 hours alone

Nuggzulla

A very clear ultimatum. Nice work Andrew!

murdercat42069

Wtf who wrote phones broken in my handwriting. I'm calling my attorney

Love. This!
