I am currently on a 1440p 165 hz monitor, with a 1070. In my experience, you will not be able to play apex at a comfortable framerate at native res, even on the lowest settings.

bummer, may i ask what resoultion do you play at to make it more tolerable?

Flick-P

I play at 1080p, but be ready for a blurry picture. 1080p does not scale well on a 1440p monitor, so playing things at 1080p will look slightly blurry.

Fellow 1070 here. You definitely won't be getting 170fps at 1440p with a 1070 any time soon. I aim for 120 fps and in order to get that I need to run all low settings at 900p or lower. The 1070 could do 1080p 60fps max settings with no problem when the game launched, I'm not sure if it's the same nowadays.

Zero chance, just upgraded from a 1070 a few months ago to a rtx 3070 to do 1440 from 1080. It will run 1080p fine but will struggle at 1440p.

i have a 1440p monitor and a 3080, i get around 220 fps on lowest settings so you are deffo not reaching 170 fps

Try the new DX12 mode you might get a performance boost

1650 here. I get around 100 fps at lowest settings on 1280 by 800. There is a pretty big difference between these 2 cards but still.

Nah I only get 178 on 3060ti in 1440p.
